The flowers was for Kawaki NOT Himawari

Istg the fact that this is even still debated is mind boggling when it couldnt have been made any clearer all because mfs dont know how to read.

Sarada says These will look perfect in Himawari’s vase

I dunno if people are purposefully being dumb or they actually cant understand basic literature but saying something will look nice in something does NOT mean they were bought for the owner of said object. Context plays a key role, you would know that if yall actually bothered to think for more than 2 seconds.

For example, Boruto bought flowers for his mother, and he put them in HIMAWARI’S vase, does that mean the flowers were for Himawari since he put them in her vase? no. Know why? because he said they were for his mother on her birthday and NONE of you questioned that regardless whose vase he put it in. But before I continue ranting I’ll keep it professional for now and address the context yall conveniently overlooked, the irrefutable proof of who the flowers were actually for.

Sarada’s face says it all here, why would she make an awkward face with a sweat drop scratching her cheek awkwardly about buying flowers for Boruto’s little sister who shes known all her life? why would she feel awkward about that? and why wouldnt she just answer Ino? all she says is Yeah, sort of… 

We know she never said who it was for because Ino literally GUESSES who their for based on her reaction, if they were for Himawari Sarada wouldnt have been awkward and just said Yes these are for Himawari, she wouldnt look awkward and hesitate to tell Ino who their for UNLESS they were for someone she felt awkward admitting she was buying flowers for, aka Kawaki.

Sarada from her own mouth calls the person she bought them for a HE and says HE will probably think shes just being nosy, and whos the one guy who has called her nosy?

This is not rocket science, its just basic common sense, all this debate just because Sarada says the flowers would look nice in Himawari’s vase, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT BORUTO THOUGHT ABOUT THE FLOWERS HE BOUGHT FOR HIS MOTHER. 

My god where was this energy back then? why only with Sarada are yall going through all these mental gymnastics tryna prove she didnt buy flowers for Kawaki? the only reason you would fight THIS hard against such a simple gesture that you insist is completely platonic is because you KNOW its significance.

And to those of you who claim the flowers are in the trash, stop the cap, we dont know what happened to the flowers after they went to fight Boro, all we know is Sarada dropped them after going into shock seeing Konohamaru badly injured.

Even if they were discarded, it doesnt change the fact that she bought them for him and it doesnt change the fact that she cared enough to think of him while picking up flowers her mother bought for her father, she took upon herself to buy separate ones for Kawaki. I think thats the part that scares yall the most.

Boruto could have put the flowers in Shino’s vase for all yall cared and yall still wouldnt have questioned who it was for because he SAID who it was for, but because its flowers from Sarada for Kawaki suddenly its different.

The biggest part of all this is that the flowers were a gift from BORUTO for HIS mother on HER birthday, why would Sarada, replace a gift from someones son for her birthday, that makes absolutely no danm sense. Imagine Boruto replacing a gift Sarada bought for her mother, its just downright ridiculous. The only reason Kawaki is replacing the vase is because he BROKE it, Sarada has absolutely no relation to any of that so theres no reason for her to get involved in their family matters.

One final point about the context is what she says, that he’ll just think she’s being nosy, and what exactly did Kawaki call her nosy for in the first place?

She was staring at him which Kawaki noticed and asked her what is she looking at? his attitude was caused by 3 things leading up to this comment

1 Naruto kept insisting that Kawaki and Sarada were friends now

2 Mitsuki revealed that Sarada suggested they come there to spy on Kawaki

3 She was staring at him hard and he noticed

After Kawaki calls her nosy he immediately makes a point of telling her that he doesnt intend on becoming friends with any of them, referring back to what Naruto said, he makes clear that he rejects her offer of friendship from before, he is also irritated at her coming there to spy on him.

Notice the common theme in all this? all of this pertains to SARADA sticking her nose into HIS business, everything leading up to him calling her nosy has been HER being nosy about HIM, not anyone else.

So the only reason she would say he would think shes being nosy, is because the flowers are for HIM not Himawari. Why would he even call her nosy for buying flowers for a friend? shes known Himawari long before he has so if anything HE’D be the one whos being nosy for commenting on it.

Bottom line is yall only fighting this hard to make this a Himawari thing instead of a Kawaki one is because you yourselves know its significance, hell like yall were originally saying it could be completely platonic, but the implications of her buying flowers for Kawaki at the same time Sakura buys flowers for her husband is a bit concerning for non KawaSara shippers lol so believe me I get your concern.

But regardless of how you feel about it, the flowers were for Kawaki, deal with it.

KawaSara + Flower symbolism

Lets start from the beginning, in Boruto ending 16 we see Sarada carrying flowers and bringing them to Boruto’s house and eventually putting them in Himawari’s vase.

Upon closer inspection you can see that the flowers strongly resembles Carnations.

Since we know Sarada didnt bring these flowers for her mom, then for Sarada to bring a flower symbolic of love for a vase thats symbolic of Kawaki was a very interesting choice for those who put together the ending.

And Yes, for those who try to argue otherwise, the vase is symbolic of Kawaki, not just dryness.

In the Yokai series merch, Kawaki is an Oni, and on his Kimono top he’s wearing is a giant red Camelia

Again, another red flower with the meaning of ‘love’ attached to it.

There are also 3 smaller flowers above the camellia that resembles Plum blossoms

Both Camellia’s and Plum blossom represent the coming of spring, Sarada in Gaiden is referred to as the Scarlet Spring.

Note: Sarada was born not long after spring started, Spring starts on March 20th and Sarada was born March 31st.

Note: Sasuke multiple times in the past has been depicted with Cherry Blossoms long before his feelings for Sakura was ever confirmed, so its not totally far fetched to look into the flowers Kawaki is depicted with in the merch. The flower being red, a color strongly associated with Sarada and Sarada only in the new gen, just as Sasuke was depicted with Cherry Blossoms, a flower strongly associated with Sakura, it is not a stretch to look into that as a potential sign.

The flowers Sarada bought for Kawaki are extremely hard to make out WHAT exactly they are but based on what I’ve researched and looking very closely at them I’ve concluded that these could possibly be either pink Veronica’s, also known as Speedwells, or Lavender flowers.

A common theme between both these flowers is the meaning of Faithfulness and loyalty. An interesting choice of flower for her to give someone she hasnt known that long.

Out of all the flowers associated with KawaSara, there is 1 common meaning within all of them, and thats love.

No this is not me implying theres romantic love between them already, at this point in time their just friends we all know that, but these are interesting choices in flowers, all with the meaning of love, to have be associated with them. 

Not only that, but they are the only ship with this much flower symbolism between them that you wont find in other ships like BoruSara, MitsuSara, KawaSumi, MitsuCho etc, but something really unique only to them.

Kawaki is the broken vase that needs repairing, he slowly starts putting it back together once he learns how he can truly heal himself, through the bonds, new family, and love he’s gained since being in Konoha. Naruto told him that with friends his whole world would change, which later we see Sarada is one of those friends who changed his world as he pieces himself back together.

A vase isnt filled with water like some people try to claim, nobody buys a vase just to add water in it, but to put FLOWERS in them, and why do people add water? to SUPPORT the flowers and keep them alive. The vase is not completed once the cracks are repaired or the water is added, but once the flowers are.

Note: This is why its really sad that Sarada’s flowers didnt reach him in the anime, leaving the vase incomplete. I know new flowers are added in the manga by his family, but the vase is still incomplete because he never found the missing piece to fill the hole and instead used glue.

The title of the chapter Kawaki and Sarada have their first 1 on 1 interaction and become friends is called Flowers, while the title of the episode is called A Vase. Both of which are symbolic of them, flowers for Sarada and the vase for Kawaki.

Lastly, Sarada is associated with the color red, which is the color of the Carnations she brought in the ending, and the red Camelia on Kawaki’s clothes in the Yokai series. Several times on the manga covers & anime Kawaki is depicted with the color red, the Karma he has is also red. This could just be to contrast him from Boruto but its still interesting to note since the flower color associated with them most is red, the color associated with Sarada.

Note: In case anyone brings up that time he wore purple on a cover, compare that ONE time to the plethora of times he’s depicted in red. Using the flashforward scarf thing isnt valid at this point in time because Ikemoto already plans for Boruto and Kawaki to look much different than what was shown because their timeskip designs were something he came up with in a rush to meet the deadline, so until then that should be disregarded for now until we get the actual set in stone design when we get there.

I may make a separate post talking about what the symbolism and meanings of these flowers mean for their relationship since theres so much to delve into but for now this is where I’ll leave it. Thanks for reading.

One thing that I love about jinko (Jin/Zuko) is that Jin isn't badass and tough and violent (not a bad thing at all)

Like she's not the Avatars eathbending teacher or his waterbending teacher, she's not the princess of the fire nation or one of her two badass and highly trained friends, she's not the leader of a highly skilled group of warrior women or the princess of the Northern water tribe

She's literally just a random girl from Ba Sing Se who thought Zuko was cute and I think that's really cool

Like don't get me wrong, I can get behind Zutara or Zuki or Zue or Maiko when I'm in the mood (and if I have a good fic waiting for me) but sometimes I just want to read about Zuko falling in love with a regular girl who likes pretty fountains and cute boys and isn't involved with single handed ending the war

Especially since the peasant x royalty troupe is usually the male peasant x the princess so it's extra points to see it inverted

I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.

Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

it began with a simple jibe from a simpleton.

some wrongs couldn’t be undone.

he scoffed at the jailer but said nothing. sakura would be furious of he managed to muck up whatever progress she’d made.

the metal bench beneath him was cold, and a small part of him was grateful that at least the jailer was there. at least he had something to stave off the chill and the boredom.
