help a disabled trans artist get a new ipad !!

hi! i'm Jellie. i'm a transmasc artist who gets most of my money through commissions of digital art to local businesses, friends, and family. all of my art is (or, more accurately, was) done on a 4th Gen iPad Pro that was purchased in 2020.

For the last month, my iPad has been having a problem which i assume is associated with the liquid retina display, where the middle 2/3rds of the screen refuse to accept any kind of touch. Apple pencil nor finger will work on the middle portion of the screen anymore, and when it's turned off at an angle you can see a large burned out portion where my pen nib wore down the internal screen through the glass and the screen protector.

TL;DR: today my iPad is finally entirely broke and i don't have a computer to get a drawing tablet for, so my only way of making money is down the drain. i also simply cannot send out physical commissions with my current living situation. along with that i use my iPad for quite literally everything, from applying to jobs to writing to talking to my doctor in order to get my medication. it's a vital tool.

because i can't draw to make money, i'm having a hard time supporting myself. i have a permanently disabled knee and bad feet, but either way i have been looking for a job that will match my needs. my problem now is that i use my iPad for applying to jobs through indeed, because the indeed app is ridiculously buggy on my phone. it's still usable, and i will continue to job hunt, but for now food is expensive and hard for me to afford, so money from the max goal will also go towards that.

i would love your help. please.

i would need 1.5k to hit my max goal of a new ipad, food, and medication in the meanwhile. if you want a writing blurb in return for your donation i'd gladly do that, and i'd be glad to do drawings in return in whatever medium is preferred once my new ipad is acquired. i understand that there are a loooot of people who need money right now, but if you have the cash a donation would be lovely and if not, a reblog is great too.
