I think my favourite gag in Hunter the Parenting is Door believing that Carmilla is/was the first vampire. He says it at least twice, so it's clearly something he's quite convinced of, and I've either puzzled out why he thinks that or I've just tied a bunch of red string together but either way!

On first learning that vampires exist, it would be understandable for anyone to assume Count Dracula must have been the first. I mean, he's the famous one, he's the one everyone knows, it stands to reason. I think what happened is Door heard someone say "You know, Carmilla actually predates Dracula", talking about the novels, and he thought they meant the actual people, so he assumes A) Carmilla was also real and B) Carmilla the vampire predates Dracula the vampire.

Not being one for conversation he never actually ASKS if this is what the other person meant, he just absorbs that information/assumption at face value and carries on with his day.

Also I'm only up to like part 3, 3.something, so if this is explicitly covered or refuted later then uhhhhh sorry I guess
