What had she expected? Had anyone ever in the history of being asked such a question, divulged a secret that was actually sincere? No, probably not. It’s too ambiguous, too vague, too open for interpretation for anything real. She herself wouldn’t have revealed anything too heavy had she been asked —naturally one would go into joking territory. Somin was pretty sure (no, scratch that, she was completely positive) that if she’d asked him any question he would have answered truthfully. She liked to learn about him,  but she enjoyed it moreso when it came organically, when their conversations go off on a tangent as they often have and he reveals something interesting.

So why had she inquired about this? Frankly, that was more to do with her inability to filter her thoughts, especially when in the presence of someone she’s so very comfortable with. It was a question without thought, though there must have been a part of her eager to discover how he may react to her odd request. Maybe that’s what it was. Maybe she just wanted to catch him off guard, for once, and see if she could unnerve him.

But he had this ability, uncanny and prevailing since the first time they’d met, of being so quick witted. He was able to build suspense and so very easily draw her in. In fact, she hadn’t even noticed she’d been holding her breath until she hears his airy chuckle, exhaling softly though her stare does not simmer down just yet. She listens to his words, intently, trying to work out the exact heaviness of his secret, so much so that his words almost go completely over her head. Almost, but not quite.

It finally dawns upon her exactly what he’s saying and when it dawns upon her, she rolls her eyes but cannot help but to betray herself instantly with braying laughter, her small hand barely flying up to her lips to conceal the noise best she possibly can. ‘ Yah, you’re really too much sometimes— dog. Definitely a dog. You know how i feel about cats. ’ He’s good at making her laugh, he always has been, no matter how much she might try and hide it. Somin admired his ability to be so quick on his feet, turning the dullest of conversational topics into a hilarious joke. Where she talked a lot, he used his wit and it made for a solid friendship. One she wouldn’t trade for the world.

Trying her hardest to swallow her shaky little laughs, she raises a brow, failing to appear serious even for a split second. ’ We’re not talking about the sims by any chance, are we? ’

With the obvious hints he left her, there was no doubt that she’d find out which game he was talking about and he was mentally prepared to admit that he’s succombed to the life simulation game’s charms yet he somehow couldn’t bring himself to say it and he had to close his mouth the next second. 

Confusion is clear on his face, brows knitted together and teeth digging into his lower lip as he’s unable to put his finger on what exactly’s blocking him from saying the truth - he doesn’t like feeling like this. It’s not like he’s ashamed of the game, sure the reason why he started playing can be considered.. embarrassing but he genuinely enjoys playing it, not to mention that he’s a pretty straightfoward guy, he should be able to proudly spit out his answer so why the hell ㅡ

“ah man ㅡ !” after what seemed like forever to him - when really his internal conflict only lasted a few seconds - he interrupts his trail of thoughts with a groan and he lets his body flop down, only to pull himself back up the second his skin comes in contact with the cold floor, a defeated sigh soon following. “yeah.. we’re talking about the sims and before you say anything let me just say that i find it very comforting!” 

The way she’s trying her hardest to hold back her laughter doesn’t go unnoticed and he narrows his eyes at her, a subtle smile tugging at his lips that he also tries to fight back. “so a dog it is.” he nods a few times, his hand reaching over the table to grab a pocky, tapping it against his lips. “now how should I name it... any ideas?”

Korea, Israel, USA.. Changkyun’s spent his childhood in different countries, always travelling and moving due to his father’s job. But this was nothing compared to all the travelling you had to do as an idol. Even more now, with their world tours and numerous overseas schedules. He never complained though, he loved it. Travelling meant visiting new places and meeting their fans while also increasing their popularity. 

However, no matter how great a thing was, it always had its side effects. He was tired, exhausted and in times like this he was extremely thankful for the flat bed seats on the plane, as it was the only place he could get some rest. At least until he could be reunited with his bed again, but it looked like this plan of his wasn’t going to go so smoothly.

Due to technical difficulties, the baggage delivery for their flight was delayed and a look of annoyance immediately took over his face as he eyed the two words on the tiny screen above his head. A quick glance at his members and he could see that it was the same for them, even if they tried to hide it. Lucky for them, more people started to gather around the carousel and all of them were soon allowed to wait outside of the area - a win for him. 

While most of his brothers went shopping to kill time, the rapper chose to rest a bit more instead. Lazy feet leading him to the first empty seat he spotted and only when he’d claimed it did he realize there was a person sitting across of him. “I’m sorry ㅡ “ suddenly he was wide awake, eyes round as he straightened his posture, ready to get up if the female’s answer was positive. “..is this seat taken?”

In between holidays was always a whirl of glee and sorrow. Sooyeon tried her best to be with her parents and younger sister, but it was never more than a day or so before she had to go. She was bound to schedules that caused plane seats to be more of a common place to sleep for her than anywhere else. The past twelve hours had been no different, except perhaps the holiday spirit that still wanted to shine in her. 

Exhaustion was evident in her slow strides as she deplaned, but her eyes still held a mystery sparkle of excitement. On a rare occasion, Sooyeon was by herself in the airport, not even a manager with her. With her black face mask snug against her face and her baseball cap pushed as far down as possible, she was hoping to glide alone with the traffic of people without getting noticed. The woman always found it a bit exciting to hide from paparazzi and fans, even if she adored her golden stars, she needed to do somethings without it being documented. 

Eyes glued to her phone, she was looking at how long it would take for her to get picked up. Wanting to use a more private driving service than just a cab for safety reasons, she couldn’t help but let out a small sigh as her lips formed a pout. The wait time would be roughly thirty minutes which meant she had time to kill. Gathering her belongings, Sooyeon began to look around for a more empty place to sit and wait. Quietly, she made her way to the corner, near a large window before taking a seat. 

“May time speed quickly.” She mumbled to herself.

“It’d be better if people weren’t so afraid of their feelings.”

A low hum was all that came out of him for a short while as he briefly left the practice room to get water for the both of them. How they ended up talking about this was a mystery to him, but he didn’t mind – he loved hearing the younger’s opinion on things.  “some people are afraid of their feelings, like others are afraid of ghosts and i think it’s alright.” bottles in his hands, he handed one to his friend before flopping down beside him. “the world’s always taught us to be scared of them, those driven by their emotions were always perceived as the weak ones and people don’t want to be weak. That’s why they choose to ignore them, it gives them a sense of control.” brown eyes shift to focus on the male beside him. “when was the last time you tried to ignore your feelings ?”

having a moment to step back and bask in someone else’s company— even by phone was, to say the least, rewarding for hyojung. every day passes and she’s so caught up in her own work that sometimes she forgets how to socialize … especially with those she was once close to. though, his sudden words through the phone are enough to dawn a smile across her features and she’s left mustering up the will to break it just to say something.

❛ it’s so good to hear yours as well, changkyun-ah, especially after all this time … hope you’re doing well with all the touring and filming. ’

the smile on his face widens when he hears her answer, appreciating the fact that she’s been keeping an eye on them despite having her own share of schedules.  " the world tour’s done, but there is so much left to prepare so, i’m trying my best.” he admits, leaning back against his chair as he starts to scribble on a piece of paper; getting rid of the thoughts he couldn’t say out loud to focus on the positive ones. “you know, we went to saudi arabia a few weeks ago. they sent two private jets just for us, and the hotel we stayed in? the biggest hotel i’ve ever seen it was incredible! and the crowd, woah.. most of them didn’t know us but they still gave us such good reactions, they were amazing ㅡ “,  only when his pen starts to dry up doees he notices he’s been rambling for the past minutes. 

“ahㅡ i’m not bothering you noona, right? i forgot to ask.. tell me if you’re busy, i can call back later!”
