I've always hated autumn. I feel blue when the days get shorter, darker, colder. I live for the warmth of sunlight on my skin and seeing the sun shining until late. Everything dies, in autumn. That's why I love spring.
But this year, for the very first time, I'm trying to see autumn with different eyes, trying to give it a chance. Even if I still can't stand it, I've definitely fallen in love with its colors.
This summer I stayed away more than a month, and I traveled a lot around Spain and Italy. I came back less than a week ago, and I decided to try to look at my city with different eyes: just like a tourist. This is the result. I've just had a walk around my neighborhood, and in 10 minutes I noticed so many beautiful views and details. Sometimes we just need a break in order to appreciate what we already have.
“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”
