EXHIBITION REVIEW
When we started working on the Sound + Vision project we went to see the exhibition at 180 the Strand called United Visual Artists Other Spaces. The exhibition features three large scales installations: Our Time, The Great Animal Orchestra and Vanishing Point. In my opinion, the message of this performance was very clear: being able to make the viewer perceive the space through sound. The spectator - in addition to perceiving the space that surrounds him - also manages to imagine a space that he cannot be seen, external and wider. An example that explains this concept is the installation The Great Animal Orchesta. In this room people can hear several recordings of different animals in their natural habitat, accompanied by a colorful spectrogram landscapes depicting the environments in which they live.In this way, people can imagine the natural space in which these animals live. I personally think that the first installation of the exhibition Our Time would work perfect with the brand Yeezy. I believe that if we put the Kanye West Yeezy Season 2 show that he did in 2016, with several models standing still in the space with the game of lights and sounds of the installation, it could be a cool idea. In this way the audience will not only see the clothes, but will also feel a sensory experience. I think this exhibition target audience would be anyone because even a kid would prefer to see some lights moving in the space rather than some old paintings on the wall. Nevertheless I also believe that people over 18 might be able to feel something that goes beyond what they are looking at. Thanks to this exhibition I made a new experience which opened my eyes because I have seen a new way of creating art and how art and new technologies can now coexist and give new point of view of how we usually perceive art.

SOUND WORKSHOP
We did this group workshop in class at the very beginning of the Sound + Vision project. The aim was to go around LCC and record some sounds and then create a moving image with those sounds. In our case we recorded the sound of a buckle of a jacket which reminds of the sound of keys.

VISUAL WALKING
After taking the video I tried to visualize the walks.I used a tracing paper, trying to create some lines. I tried different versions - one line for foot or two lines for foot - but in the end I didn’t like any of them. After working on this I started thinking about another gesture and that is where the sound gesture comes from.

SECOND GESTURE
I decided to try with two different walking moves to see how it would look

GLOBAL LOCAL GESTURE
Going back to the Global Local Project, before deciding to use the sound gesture, our first idea was to find a way to create a gesture from a person’s walk. I tried to make a gesture starting from a slow motion of a person walking.

FINAL OUTCOME
After my last tutorial I decided to change the beginning of the video. With my tutor we realized that the first scenes all had a circular shape apart from one. So I managed to change this scene and replace it with a clock I found at a tube station. I also changed the sound of the first part of the video. I added a clock ticking sound because time is a valuable factor in each and every journey.

AFTER EFFECTS ON VIDEO #2
This is another draft, the same as the previous one, in which, however, in the last frame there is only the logo without the writing. I personally like this version more because I find it cleaner and simpler.

AFTER EFFECTS ON VIDEO #1
After testing and understanding how After Effects works I started working directly on the video. In this first draft, in the last frame there are both the logo and the brand name.

AFTER EFFECTS 2
This is a second test that I did. First the tagline is shown in such a way that it follows the dynamism of the video and then the logo appears with the word Transport for London.

This is the final video with all the changes put together. All that's left is to insert the TfL logo.

FINAL SCENE WITH MUSIC
After deciding the scene, I added the music and the two things put together, I think, work perfectly: the beginning of the final fade of the music matches the moment when the final scene, from dynamic becomes static on the subject (the Shard).

FINAL SCENE THIRD DRAFT
I like having the Shard as the final scene, but I find the scene too long so I decided to change it with this one, very similar, but faster and the last second is more static on the Shard.

FIANL SCENE SECOND DRAFT
I decided to work on the final scene again, since I find the final subject of the previous draft insignificant. So I decided to replace the Piccadilly scene with the Shard, which has also become a symbol of London.

FORTH DRAFT
This draft is the sequel to the previous one in which the only things that change are:
- The second static scene is a pedestrian crossing seen from above, at night. I decided to put this video instead of the previous one for two reasons: the first is to have a shot at night, the second is because TfL is responsible for the maintenance, management and operation of London's traffic lights.
- I finished the sound level of the video, concluding it with an effect output that links well to the previous one. With this final music, the tagline and logo will be inserted.

THIRD DRAFT
In this third draft I assembled the two previous videos together. Now that the video has taken shape, I have worked on the sound level: urban traffic is heard in the initial static scenes and then a rhythmic music starts which follows the dynamism of the video. Still missing is the editing of the sound in the final scene.
