I have been lucky enough to make a coloring book sponsored by the Leominster Cultural Council through the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

The original idea was to make a book that showcases different clothing and styles from around the world. There will be brief descriptions of each article of clothing and where it’s popular or the area where it was originated from.

I’m aiming to have these available to order sometime late November: just in time for the holidays if you’re looking for a gift for a friend (or to just treat yourself) 😉

I hope you enjoy these and learn a thing or two about feminine fashion while having fun.

Roses for Mom

I know this is a little different than my usual work, but my mom commissioned me to paint some pink roses for her.

The 16 x 20” print came in the other day and it looks so beautiful printed. I can’t wait to see it in situ!

So this is going to be my last drawing of the Inktober challenge for the year. A lot of stuff has been piling up, but I’ll continue the series next October!

I wasn’t really feeling it with this one and may have been overthinking it. Something told me to “keep going”, but I knew it wouldn’t look good if I added more details. It’s quite easy to get carried away when drawing in ink. It’s almost like a coloring page where you feel like you have to color every part in. Anyone else feel like that sometimes?

This month was busy for me and I’m hoping to have a little more time soon, but it’s not easy to say with the holidays coming up.

I do plan to complete this series. I’m aiming for the end of November or December at the latest.

Anyways, this is a new style for me that I attempted. (If anyone knows the name of the style, let me know!) Not sure if I like it, so I may try again later in the series.

I know I’m being slow this year, but I’m trying to be considerate of my health. I’ve got a lot going on and I haven’t gotten my Covid booster or flu shot yet. The Covid shot usually wipes me out for an entire day, so I’m trying to fit that in my schedule 😅

I believe this is the first time I’ve drawn dreadlocks. This one was kind of tricky tbh (but fun). ☺️

So... fun fact about me... I used to have eye problems when I was a kid and the pain would leave me in the dark for a week (maybe close to 1.5 weeks if the "damage" was really bad). I never got a pretty eye patch like this... it was sticky tape all over my face which left a lot of residue... yuck.

My heart goes out to anyone suffering any eye problems. It can be very scary. Having vision is a gift that I don't take for granted. Remember to do some eye exercises every once in a while if you're staring at a screen for long amounts of time!

These are being done on standard U.S. sized paper (8.5 x 11”). I think the size is affecting my work because that was a lot of crosshatching and feel like I could’ve done better.

But hey, it’s a challenge for a reason. May not be my best work, but I found a way to make an image in a day that isn’t half bad! 🙃

Day 02 of Inktober. I did finish this yesterday, but was too tired to upload to all my social media.

It’s finally October and you know what that means… Inktober is back! I honestly am not sure if I’m gonna do it this year… but I’m giving it a go. I might get a few commissions/projects soon, so I may have to stop. I’ll try to do as much as I can and I’m thinking if I don’t finish this month, I may just continue because I really want to strengthen my skills at this years theme.

So this year’s theme is “Facetober”. I wanna practice inking in different types of hair styles and “things” to go with portraits (glasses, masks, tattoos, etc..). All pictures will be done with references and I will share them so you can see the original.

Day 01 is “light wavy hair with freckles”. I actually did this one last year, but things got crazy so I never was able to do Inktober last year. Oh well.

Paper Puppet Doll Prototype

I’ve been playing around with crafts and such for the past year and now I’m working on paper puppet dolls. This is still a prototype, but I’m almost there! I’d like to add it as a download to my shop (instructions would be included). Would anyone be interested?

Secret Garden

I usually don't paint landscapes, but this was a special request from my brother-in-law for his wedding. It's a beautiful arboretum where he and his (now) wife would go during the COVID lockdown in 2020.

I just never got the time to sharing it until now 😅

This was just a quick painting to honor the people of Iran in their dream of becoming free. It has been proven that when victims/prisoners have their names go viral, the Islamic Regime does not un - alive them. The only theory I have of this, is that the IR doesn’t want the spotlight of how evil they truly are. So please, even if you don’t make a post, like any hashtag of any of the victims to save a life. It has and does work and only takes a second of kindness to do. I have a video on YT if you’d like to see the speed-paint.
