The Chicago Printmakers Collaborative is currently in its 26th year as Chicago's longest-running independent community resource for all things inky. Last year, CPC marked its 25th year milestone by launching an interactive endeavor called "The Apron Project." We designed this project to celebrate the artist-printmakers, students, faculty, friends and other inkslingers who have passed through our doors or who are currently running prints through our presses. We began this project in May of 2014 and have collected a boatload of photos from all over the world of folks sporting CPC aprons and have continued to accept submissions. So, send us your photos! Further apron accessorizing is encouraged; think tools, hats, cool environments, shooting skeet, etc). We'll continue to post them here on our specially-made Apron Project blog, and eventually make a second cool poster featuring everyone who participated (we already created version #1!). We've even made a special email where you can send us all of your Apron Project info: [email protected]. This Apron Project Blog was created to visually acknowledge the PEOPLE who have made this little engine of a printshop in Chicago last this long, and to showcase the vast and colorful array of artists around the world who wear our trademark Chicago Printmakers Collaborative aprons while creating art (or really good barbeque...). Enjoy! Love, The CPC Team P.S. - If you'd like to participate, but don't have an apron, borrow one! Or if the dog ate your apron and you want a brand new one, we can ship one to you. They're $20 if you buy them at CPC, or $25 (including shipping, both nationally and internationally) if you buy them online via Paypal. <input type="hidden" name="encrypted" value="-----BEGIN PKCS7-----MIIHbwYJKoZIhvcNAQcEoIIHYDCCB1wCAQExggEwMIIBLAIBADCBlDCBjjELMAkGA1UEBhMCVVMxCzAJBg...

He insisted on the pink apron. This was after he tried to print wood type on the litho press. Hmmmmm.
