Our Journey So far....

  Initially, we all five  (Ishan, Druv, Avanish , Yash, and Saharsh) were pulling up ideas which one to choose but eventually, it turned down on the topic of how to evacuate fastest and safest way from emergency situations. 

We did according research on several websites for emergency exit in different emergencies like a natural disaster, fire , hurricane, mud sliding and many more gradually our topic got narrowed down to School Shooting Situations.

Simultaneously we have started working on robot missions, as well with core values.

During our journey, we met several experts like (Police Station, Phunware, Moms on-demand group, middle school, fire station )which gave us tremendous good feedback which helped us not only upgrade our app features but also our view got changed to look at the school shooting. We learned a lot of trivial knowledge and micro things we need to consider while developing an app.

The final day came when we all were ready for competition, and we made First place in our project presentation.

Project: So as we said in our last blog, we will now talk about our project.

We have made a mockup of our app, SafExit. This app will help student evacuate a building fast and safe in a school shooting situation. This app will be uploaded on each high school students phone. This app has an indoor navigation of the building. There are beacons installed on walls of each room in the building. These beacons send signals to the app. With help of the beacons the app can give the exact location of individual students. This will help the rescue team know the concentration of student population. In the Florida shooting this was the main problem because of which the rescue team wasn’t able to find many of the hiding student.

Once the rescue team knows where the hiding students are they can send safe path maps for the safest and fastest exit.

This app also has another great feature where the students can pin point the location of the shooter.

Shooting Shadows

Hello, we are the Shadow Breakers and we have been competing in a competition called F.L.L (First Lego League) for 2 years now. Our team members are Ishaan, Dhruv, Saharsh, and our 2 newest memebers, Yash and Avanish. There are 3 major concepts, Robot Game, Project, and Core Values. So the Robot Game is us making a robot out of the EV3 Kit and accomplishing missions for set amount of points. There are 7 Core Values which are Impact, Innovation, Inclusion, Fun, Teamwork, Discovery, and Coopertition (Cooperation and Competition). For Project, we get given a Head Topic, which this year is "City Shaper". For our project we decided to choose an innovative problem to solve which is school shootings in high school. We decided to make an app to evacuate high school students in the "Fastest and Safest" way possible in a school shooting situation.
