- Even in timelines where Tomoya survives it was a close thing, with Yuki managing to talk him before he kills himself and finally apologizing - They get together in their second year of middle school, with particular circumstances. Tomoya stayed at Yuki's house overnight, and Yuki's in the bathroom, sad about how he's skinny and small. Tomoya tries to tell him he doesn't have to be big and strong, which Yuki deflects saying that's easier for Tomoya to say when he's so tall and has his muscles, but Tomoya says 'I really mean it. I think you're gorgeous the way you are.' 'You think I'm what...?' and it goes on from there - Tomoya moves out of his parents' house to live with Yukinari in high school - Whenever Yuki is feeling down about himself, Tomoya likes to kiss the part of his body he's worrying about and say 'I love you the way you are, Yukinari-kun.' 「僕はそのままのユキナリ君が大好きだよ」 - Likewise, when Tomoya is feeling down about himself, Yukinari is there to remind him of his positive qualities like his kindness and optimism - Yukinari studies English at university, while Tomoya studies education - Yukinari ties Tomoya's ponytail in the morning - They don't really tell people about their relationship, but they're so touchy and cuddly most people figure it out pretty quickly - Tomoya takes care of most of the cooking, but Yukinari insists on making breakfast - usually omurice

So in Yukinari’s premium epilogue to Kou’s story, he visits his old elementary school, which has been shut down now. He decides to finally write a reply to Tomoya in the diary, and finds a time capsule Tomoya buried with a letter inside, and he writes his own letter and buries it again. Below are my translations.

Yukinari in the diary: Tomoya-kun. I'm sorry I left you alone for so long after that. I did something to you that I can never take back. I never considered your feelings... I just ran away. I can't ask you to forgive me at this point... So I thought I would at least try to understand your feelings today, by retracing my memories... Tomoya-kun... I remember you were always smiling. You always put other people before yourself. You were too kind... I'm sorry I ran away, and that I couldn't protect you. I'm sorry we couldn't stay friends. I.. (At that point he’s crying and can’t keep writing)

Tomoya’s letter: To Future Yukinari-kun Hello, this is Tomoya from fourth grade. I wonder how old we'll be when we read this? I'm looking forward to it! What are we doing now, Yukinari-kun? I hope to be a PE teacher one day; did I manage it? Are you enjoying every day, Yukinari-kun? I'm having fun right now, talking to you, playing with you, sharing our diary. Let's go the beach together next summer, okay? And let's share sweets! There are so many things I want to go to with you, like fireworks festivals and autumn festivals! But there was somebody who pushed me to want to change. He was strong, and he loved his family... He was a kind man. In the end, I couldn't save him, but... It's thanks to him that I thought to face up to my past with you. So I came back to the school today, for the first time in so long... My memories with you are some of the most fun ones I have. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARU SHINKAI!!!!

I still love Appmon, but have never been able to find time to draw something for this good good goggleboy’s birthday. I was determined to make up for it this year! I played around with a couple ideas, but the one I had the most fun with was him getting hit with with several surprises at once. I don’t know why Yuujin thinks streamers and confetti are the same as mistletoe, but he had to continue the tradition of decorating Haru’s hair for major celebrations :3 The present is a new book Haru’s had his eye on for some time (obviously).
