so it’s come to my attention that a lot of tumblr users don’t know the difference between crediting + using, reblogging, and reposting. and so, i’ve compiled together a handy guide on which of the three are ok to do + not ok to do:

crediting + using: slotting our gifs into your fics with credits! (100% okay for most cc’s, ask if you can use it in a (genre) if you are a writer beforehand.) below is an example of properly crediting/using a cc’s gifs:

reblogging: absolutely encourgaged!! reblogging is hitting that green arrow and showing your support for our work. it’s appreciated by all ccs, i can promise you that <3

reposting: NOT OKAY!!!!!! you are stealing our work and claiming as your own, plagiarizing, and disregarding our efforts. these gifs aren’t here for you to steal. below is an example of what reposting is. notice that the “gif by ______” is MISSING. i can promise you no gifmaker will be happy if they find you reposting. we will report you if we catch you stealing/reposting.

i hope this clears things up! if there is anything else you’re unsure of, please ask!!!! we r not intimidating, simply tired of people stealing our work!!!!
