i really can't overstate how fucking furious i am that corrupt egyptian officials have become millionaires from charging palestinian refugees thousands upon thousands of dollars to escape genocide and not only that, that it comes down to the generosity of normal people like you and me to fund these people, to feel guilty over not being wealthy enough to do more, to feel the pressure of choosing which fund to donate to, to have to shoulder the emotional burden of deciding which lives to save, when politicians will get absurdly rich off of insider trading and taking bribes from companies as they help engineer a worse world for all of us to endure.

the scarf is not "hijab". hijab is not a headscarf. hijab is modesty. it means to cover. the hijab is to cover your body. not just women wear hijab. men have their own hijab too. hijab is the concept of modesty, it does not just refer to a random scarf on your head.

do not call a headscarf a "hijab" for non muslim women who wear them, especially if they are not living a modest lifestyle. hijab is for every person who is muslim, whether it's for a man or a woman or whatever else. it does not refer to the scarf. the scarf is just a small part of what "hijab" is. hijab a concept, not an object.

We are still suffering. It is the same suffering and much more severe in light of the siege that we have been experiencing for six months, lack of healthy food, drink and medicine. Today, Rawan and Razan are thalassemia patients receiving blood transfusions, and there is no room for them inside the hospital because it is crowded with sick and wounded people.
