Koushirou was no stranger to the library, he often frequented between classes and occasionally during the weekend in order to catch up on his reading or simply as a place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle.  More often than not, Koushirou was nearer the back of the library, dabbling in the thick and heavy reference books, this section was always the most quiet and saw the least traffic. Today however, he was in the mood for some lighter reading. Maybe he would even pick up something fiction to occupy him on the bus ride home. He had already picked up a couple of things when the near-silent library was filled with soft, but heavy-sounding thumping noises from the next isle over. Not an uncommon occurrence but the red-head went to investigate regardless, popping his head around the bookcases. The librarians really needs to consider fixing some of their shelves. Koushirou cleared his throat, "Hey, is everything okay over there...?"
Kouichi found himself going to the library a lot. It wasn’t that he was studying for anything important, he just didn’t want to be home. His mother had taken up another job, so she was rarely home in the evenings anymore. Kouichi found the quiet a little too quiet. At least in the library it wasn’t necessarily silent. He could hear people flipping pages or whispering quietly among themselves as they studied for a particularly difficult exam.
He ran his fingers along the spine of a book he was debating reading. In the past, he’d never been much of a reader. He wasn’t against books or anything, they just hadn’t particularly appealed to him. Maybe it was somewhat sentimental for him to pick up the habit now, remembering a little white digimon he hadn’t seen in sometime. Bokomon clung to that book religiously, and rightfully so as the book saved them or gave them answers so many times.
Just as he was about to pull the book he’d been debating about from its spot on the shelf, he spotted a book just above his head that looked interesting. The writing on the spine was golden, and for some reason that made him want to at least flip through its pages. He reached up to grab the book, but it was almost just out of his reached. Stretching a bit more to get a better grip on the book, he began to pull it from its spot.
That’s when the entirety of that shelf came toppling down on top of him.

{ooc} I'm totally bringing this blog back over the weekend, so let me know if you'd like to roleplay (if anyone following this blog is still active) I'm tracking my URL so feel free to stick starters or prompts in there. I'll get to it toot-sweet after work tomorrow. There's still a few things I need to work on, like fleshing out my headcanon but that can be done whenever. My Skype is available at your request.
