Create a blog about how social media has helped families, social workers, and the government in discerning information during calamities. Differentiate it from the past where information is only provided by the media (TV, radio, and print). Submit the link of your blog post to your teacher.

Social media nowadays has a big role in our daily life. Social media helps us to communicate with our family around the world. Also social media keeps us informed of what is happening in our county, like calamities and different kinds of disasters. It helped families, social workers and the government in discerning information during calamities. Through social media every family can easily communicate with their relatives from other places especially those outside the country. While social workers it can be a tool to educate them about information during calamities. Our government most especially can spread or disseminate information through the use of social media. Mass media like television and broacasting is a gift of modern time that is a big help for us.

STEM is an educational program developed to prepare primary and secondary students for college, graduate study and careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). 

1. Technology

- Our today’s gadgets and devices are made by professionals or experts which excel in the field of electrical and mechanical engineering.

Example: Technology is the application of scientific knowledge to the practical aims of human life.  

2. Development

- This word is basically talks about the development of the student after he/she takes the STEM strand. Maybe that person will become better at something or will become a better person (maturity).

Example: The software is still in the early stages of development.

3. Skills

- the ability to do something well.

Example: The work is difficult and requires a lot of skill.

4. Talent

- Well talent is not a thing in being a STEM student or in the STEM strand itself. Perseverance, hard work and concentration is enough to carry out the whole STEM strand.

Example: There are many good players on the team, but she's a special talent.

5. Planning

- Planning is very prominent skill a STEM student should possess. It refers the process of making plans for a specific thing, which is centered by goals and objectives.

Example: Anything is possible with enough time and planning.

6. Communicate

- to share information with others by speaking, writing, moving your body, or using other signals

Examples: The two computers are able to communicate directly with one another.

7. Experiment

- An experiment is a scientific procedure undertaken to make a discovery, test a hypothesis, or demonstrate a known fact.

Example: Yesterday, we conducted chemistry experiments

8. Calculation

- Calculation is described as a mathematical determination of the size or number of something. It could also refer to an assessment of the possibilities, or effects of a situation or course of action.

Example: Careful calculation is required to determine the required amount of fuel.

9. Measure

- Ascertain the size, amount, or degree of (something) by using an instrument or device marked in standard units or by comparing it with an object of known size.

Example: Measuring the height of a child to keep his/her growth record.

10. Theories

- A supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something, especially one based on general principles independent of the thing to be explained.

Example: There is no evidence to support such a theory.
