Cyber Horde, Opinions on a dark affair. Pt.2
Human beings are social animals in many ways not very different from other ape species with similar social dynamics and hierarchies, although as species we developed the hability to transform the territory we also created a series of rules and protocols within each society and territory, just like many ape species will have little communities of individuals within their territories, these communities will be subject to a common notion of rules that each ape must follow in order not to be alienated from it's community, the sense of loneliness and fear of social rejection in our species is something we keep from our ancestors and share with other ape species, this is one very efficient survival mechanism that keeps individuals inside a community in order to maintain certain possibility of survival. These are traits that in our context despite not being in the wild, still form part of our reality just like weapons evolve according to the needs of the battlefield, cultures, mannerisms, conduct codes, cultures and even civilizations are shaped to the needs, reality and perception of reality of each community, failing to cope with this codes resulted in alienation, exclusion or even violence from members of the community. Members from other communities as strangers represent a treat to the stability and survival of the group as a destabilizing agent. This is the very essence of several features of the modern world and the reason of their existence, one big example of these features in our context is the existence of Urban cultures and the animosities that can appear among them.
Ā Each individual within a society must cope with this codes in order to be accepted as part of it, despite this, an individual retain certain traits of individual distinction that will tell them from others inside a group, in addition to it's understanding and compliance to the codes the society where it belongs, these individual traits will determine the position of the individual in the hierarchy of the group. This behavior is easily observed not just in ape species but in several mammal species with social structures, the social position for several ape species including ours, is crucial for the survival and welfare of the individual as this can determine the access of each member of society to resources and mating within the society that embraces it. Scientific studies suggest the role of sexual hormones in the interaction of individuals in human societies, although it still to be concluded serotonin and cortisol interacting with testosterone and estrogen can influence the social behavior of individuals. The serotonin levels of an individual can influence substantially the social interaction of an individual, a healthy man for example, with a high level of serotonin and a high level of testosterone are prone to be leaders of groups and are less prone to aggression, in contrast with men with high levels of cortisol and low levels of serotonin but keeping a high level of testosterone are prone to have anger management issues and even can develop violent behaviors. In the wild for our ancestors this had a reason, A healthy leader would naturally assume certain responsibilities on it's group and keep other males subjugated through passive or aggressive displays of strength as a way to keep it's position, but an outcast driven by the anger related to his position would be willing to fight his way up in the hierarchy. This behavior although different in execution is present in females. The result of this dynamics in rejected individuals results in the painful sentiment of loneliness, fear and anger, this is the result of the rise of cortisol and plunge in serotonin as a consequence of the social outlasting, something that for our ancestors could dramatically change the survival of the individual. We can understand the behavior of individuals and groups through the biological knowledge but from the realm of psychology there are three influential authors that can give us fa good perspective of the group dynamics. In our current times despite not being in the wild, we Homo Sapiens Sapiens keep this traits of our ancestors as their direct descendants, our civilizations despite how different they can be from each other manifest this natural behaviors constantly, in Japan for example a very complex manifestation of these behaviors is the ā€œHonme-Tatemaeā€ phenomenon, a contrast where Honme (Japanese for true feelings) represents the true will and intentions of individuals is never shown in public and kept only to oneself and family or close friends, and Tatemae (Japanese for faƧade) represents the public face of an individual in compliance to what is expected by a society, from behavior to expression of opinions, failing to show only the tatemae of the individual or displaying honne is considered as shameful and at times a dishonor.

Cyber Horde, Opinions on a dark affair. Pt.1
ā€œSocial justiceā€ is a term with a very broad and loose meaning towards to an specific concept, according to different sets of individual ideas the meaning of ā€œsocial justiceā€ can be associated to all sorts of ideologies and political movements according to the convenience and comfort of any individual person within the realm of the own perception of reality, which is itself the essence of any ideology, a conceptualized portrait of reality based on observation, analysis and interpretation of the ones who formulate such portrait. This is not surprise considering the nature itself of the human brain, a brain that evolved to recognize patterns in the chaos of the wild, the difference between life and death for our ancestors depended on their ability to recognize patterns in it's environment, from the edible plants to the potential threats and concrete dangers, deep rooted in us this survival mechanism remains wired in our Homo Sapiens Sapiens brain as part of the set of natural response to diverse stimulation, happiness, sadness, sexual desire and hunger are no different from this pattern recognition trait of us, the shape we can see in clouds and the face of a mountain in a photography of Mars belong to a phenomenon called pareidolia, the most basic of the manifestations of this human trait, there is however another manifestation of the pattern recognition and interpretation in our minds; Apophenia, the recognition and interpretation of patterns of cause and effect. The fear of the individual to the uncertain and chaotic is the most natural reaction, finding ourselves in a totally unknown environment can be stressing and intimidating, frightening at many times, the sense of alert is constant and that is the reason we feel the need for certainty in our context, certainty of the environment, direction, decision making and what for this topic concern, the certainty of cause and effect in our ā€œcorrectā€ understanding of reality. In the age of Social Media the individual remains weak as part of the forces of society but is far from powerless, a single individual expressing insights or mere opinions can pass without any pain or glory in the stream of information that social media that contains them, however this insights, opinions, feelings expressed or reactions can mean a diverse range of implied elements of the frame of reality that many individuals have fashioned for themselves, elements that might form part of the cause and effect identification process by or just for mere co-relation that confirm that vision of reality for each individual, under a common social interaction that mechanism is constant, and it is the cause of our repulsion or attraction to other individuals, in a mob mindset however this can lead to unfortunate consequences.

A Dark Mood Pt. 2
Is not that we are lazy, we are not in alert.
Tumblr media
Procrastination has nothing to do with laziness, as a matter of fact it is very likely that our perception of reality can be considered as alienated and sick in comparison with the human beings that lived thousands of years ago, in the context of the modern human being the survival in the wild is totally out of context, there is a survival context for many people around the world taking for example the situation of poor urban communities in Mexico in which violence is the daily reality of people,Ā ā€œKnowing how to move aroundā€ as us Mexicans say is a social skill that has to do more to do with survival than making friends, flirting or networking, knowing how to move around is being aware and alert constantly of the dangers of their quotidianity, therefore despite the high rate in antisocial and borderline personality disorders and high illiteracy the way the brain of people in this circumstances is wired and developed in different ways that the brain of a resident of a high income neighborhood. Kinesthetic and Spatial intelligence are very well developed in these individuals and those who at the same time manage to develop interpersonal intelligence are more likely to survive. What makes other people from middle class neighborhoods different in a neurological point of view? for start, better nourished, better educated and in relative safety the development of their brains is focused in the development of other skills, their sense of alert is way less activated that the one of the not so fortunate ones, after all the need of survival in a hostile environment will make them develop a very different sense and ways to deal with the sensation of danger. In the same fashion our need to learn skills and cultivate ourselves is always different. Letā€™s say our friend Chuck who is interested in learning how to play guitar can get a guitar and find tutorials on YouTube, that person might find it challenging and can have certain progress but in the middle of the road Chuck might find himself frustrated with a lack of advance and many people like him will eventually quit or remain in the reached level without further pursuit of improving, it is also important to mention that a person surrounded by the temptations of entertainment that can be accessed just by reaching to oneā€™s pocket and pull out a smartphone is constant and the social media platform developers and entertainment content creators make sure to make these as tempting to the user as possible, after all their revenue depends on it.Ā  So what would make a difference? letā€™s say our friend Jimmy decided to take lessons unlike our friend Chuck and decided to pay to a instructor, in these situation the instructor will know how to rail Jimmy into a path of learning and will be aware of what kind of things are easy and what other things are challenging for Jimmy, with this in consideration the instructor will develop a strategy for Jimmy and a certain grade of commitment will be expected from our friend, Jimmy will take some serious effort into this as a result of the pressure and guidance of the instructor. Needless to say that Jimmy is more likely to learn to play guitar faster and better than Chuck, and probably this is an overthought example of why despite in an age of digital communication where information is so accessible to many people so much of them prefer not to learn or pursuit something new. If we are not being chased by a horde of angry Oompa Loompas what is the point of running?, Why not watching anime on Crunchy Roll or Playing Doom Eternal instead? After all day working my assets off why would I want to make something else? Is there something we can do? of course there is!

A Dark Mood Pt. 1
Tumblr media
The world has inevitably changed for who knows how much time, someway or another we like to believe by the next year things are going back to what we know and yet no one knows if that is actually going to happen in any moment, in the meantime all of my lectures and everyday activities are mostly conducted online, this is the reality I have to embrace despite all of my discomfort and reluctance. Reality is what it is and never what we want to believe it is despite the deep rooted beliefs of people and their singular way to view things. Ideologies, Religion, Politics and Biases of all sorts float freely in social media, unfiltered and raw in all of itā€™s splendorous wave of collective hyper individualism, a dangerous situation for an immature species biologically shaped not just to regonize but vehemently embrace patterns that will give order to the chaos inside our frightened minds, after all that is the way we evolved and the difference between life or death to our ancestors thousands of years ago, but as the children of the Homo Sapiens that roamed this planet 12,000 years ago, us Homo Sapiens Sapiens retain the traits of our grands, and even if for many of us privileged humans we donā€™t have an immediate threat most of the time we have have grown comfortable enough to embrace tranquility as our Status Quo and everything that might change that reality or perception of it will be seen as a potential threat and chaos to our animal driven survival mechanisms, deep rooted and programmed inside us.
How is this expressed on our current situation? well... for a decade already the great hopes for the humanity regarding to the use of internet and information technology as the great tool for the empowerment and liberation of masses have faded into oblivion, regardless of all the great information any individual might have access to in order to improve oneā€™s life through knowledge there will be always two great elements that are not necessarily the cause of this broken paradigm, it is a constant on the evolution of the internet user. It is true that oneĀ  can learn everything just on YouTube, Myself I learned to bake through YouTube videos and learned the basics of how to drive a motorcycle, after watching a series of videos on YouTube I knew what to do and how to do it, at least in theory, after all I had to take my motorcycle out to put in practice everything I learned, even more remarkable yet, my friend changed her professional perspectives by learning marketing on YouTube, as a graphic designer herself she found a new opportunity of improving her life through the power of Internet. This is something that happens constantly and a game changer for many people and even nations, however... as mentioned before there are important things that we must consider in order to understand our reality as members of society and humanity as a whole.
Is not that we are lazy, we are not in alert.

OLD EXCERCISES This pictures belong to the C coding lessons Iā€™ve taken back in 2017, I remember how complicated yet simple it was to do certain kind of things and how I had to renounce to a certain mechanism of thought in order to follow a more logical one.Ā  Old joke for programmers C++ā€™s mother askā€™s him to go to shop -ā€Go get 2 boxes of milk, if you find eggs bring a dozenā€-. C++ gets back home with 12 boxes of milk.Ā
As lame as this joke can be, this joke fully explains the nature of coding,Ā  my teacher was good and told me something very true, coding is like playing an instrument or learning a language, ā€œthe more you do it the better you get at itā€, and certainly since I left the choir I donā€™t sing as good as I used to and there is no way I can read a Japanese text without a dictionary, from all the 800 Japanese characters I learned in 2017, I probably remember and still know how to use about 20. UsingĀ ā€œyo mamaā€ jokes to learn Japanese characters was always the best way to learn how to read them, I hope I can find a similar way to learn coding again.Ā

My html experience
The year was 2004, I was a kid listening to japanese rockbands from the 80ā€²s, watching anime and complaining about life, in my prep school we had a little computer lab in which our lessons were mostly focused on Office but at certain point we started to recieve html. I remember I was excited about that as back in the time I had the desire of making my own fan websites towards my interests, at the time something special. I remember doing a Fan Website for the Japanese Rock Bands Buck-Tick and Lā€™Arc~en~CIel, 4 years before the sites would be nice and probably even popular among spanish speaking fans, but the truth is for that moment the use of more sophisticated software used for the layout design of the sites made my sites a bit lame for the moment, this made me a bit frustrated as the old Windows 98 PC I used since I was 12 couldnā€™t run the versions of Corel or Photoshop of the time, so everything regarding to graphic design was made by someone else.Ā  After some years of the incident that led me disabled for 5 years and my rehabilitation html was long forgotten, html 5 was something for the moment and I remember a joke that statedĀ ā€œSteve Jobs died because he decided to bet his life on html 5 instead of flashā€, lame and distasteful for some, funny for my peers, pointless to be honest.Ā  At the time I didnā€™t cared too much about it. Today Iā€™m learning html 5 and re learning C coding, after all these years it kind despite a few mistakes it is kind of easy for me to understand the structure of html, C on the other hand always kept me awake trying to figure out how to do things in the most efficient way, challenging but refreshing nonetheless. Today I reviewed manuals from Mozilla and my lectures, certainly I forgot part of my assignments is to upload my thoughts about the topic in this blog, so in a spirit of haste and desire to accomplish my duties here we start. Welcome to The Chocobanana SyndromeĀ
