Iphigénié Volant (nee Limette) and Mélisande Trouche (nee Limette)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eleanor Tomlinson and Junia Rees as Iphigénié Volant and Mélisande Trouche, the oldest and the youngest daughter of Monsieur Armand Trouche, respectively.
They were the bridesmaids for their older cousin, Artemisia's wedding to Verus Malfoy. Soon after, prospects for "Iphi" had come flooding in after learning of the Malfoy connection. Iphi was married off to a Gervaise Volant while "Lisa" caught the eye of Faustin Trouche.

Headcanon: Not every Rosier is supposed to like roses. Some like hyacinths, some like lilies (omg I just realised this fits so well if you consider Pandora a Rosier but then again).
This shocks the partners of the Rosiers most of the time.

Savannah Steyn as Eudoxia Ottaline Rowle, a member of the Rowle family, cousin to Thorfinn Rowle.
Eudoxia Rowle was the much-desired daughter of Lord Otis Rowle, a twice-widowed man left without an heir until her birth. His second wife, Delphine Rosier, died in childbirth, and Eudoxia was raised almost entirely by her father - quietly, carefully, and with no room for frivolity. There were no doting aunts, no house-elves.
She learned how to sit straight at dinners, start cutting conversations at seven, and managed to evade the general "snobby Slytherin pure-blood" epithet that her cousin, Thorfinn, seemed to proudly take on.
It was set that she would reveal herself to be a true Rowle, who gravitated more towards her academics.

Matt Smith as Verus Octavian Malfoy, son of Octavian and Eurydike Malfoy, husband to Artemisia Black, and father to Hyperion Malfoy and Justinia Malfoy.
Son to Octavian Malfoy and his Greek wife, Verus, had grown up with the stories of Armand Malfoy arriving in England with William the Conqueror and founding the Malfoy Manor in Marlborough. One of the wealthiest and most influential pure-blood families would also be of the Sacred Twenty-Eight, nearly 169 years after Verus and Artemisia. The "main" line of the family lived in Malfoy Manor in Wiltshire.
Verus was a man of unshakable confidence, displaying no vulnerability or emotional weakness. Raised by a rather tyrannical father, who taught that strength is paramount, he embraced aggression over passivity, reflecting the harsh upbringing his father instilled in him. Prone to subtle manipulation paired with his charm, Verus managed to charm many ladies during his Hogwarts years, especially the domineering Artemisia Black. They were betrothed post graduation and married in 1785.
He knew how to control and grasp someone with subtle hints, yet with Artemisia, things seemed to flow differently. The dynamics seemed to shift. With him slowly listening more to her decisions as Lady Malfoy, it started affecting his relationship with his parents. Their son, Hyperion Verus Malfoy, would also be raised in a similar environment. Verus definitely cared for the family bloodline more, and the cycle would go on with Hyperion (b. 1787) and Justinia (b. 1789).
He was a fierce defender of his wife, almost her lapdog. A fact commented on by many people, stating that he was being too "lenient" to his wife. Yet Verus would hear none. They would go on charming and enhancing the Malfoy image.

Alyssa Sutherland as Lucienne Malfoy (née Avery), wife to Armand Malfoy III, mother to Abraxas Malfoy. She would be the paternal grandmother to Lucius Malfoy and the ancestress to Draco Malfoy and his son, Scorpius.
The House of Avery was a relatively small and tightly-knit family. Although they remained a small family by the end of the 20th Century, the Averys were tightly-knit and loyal to most dark-lords. They were neutral in terms of pure-blood supremacy, yet some members were known to be extremists. The House of Avery preferred to keep their bloodline pure, rather than hate on Muggle-borns, half-bloods and squibs.
Second oldest in the Avery family, Lucienne had a duty to fulfill: marry a respectable pure-blood and prove yourself worthy of the Avery name. Lucienne got many proposals from different families who would like to have the Avery line merge with theirs, but it was reported that Lucienne herself chose Armand Malfoy III's proposal. Her father had obsessively admired the Malfoy patriarch, waiting to be related or at least be him. He was cunning enough to climb the social ladder for that.
They were married in a lavish ceremony at the Malfoy Manor, Marlborough, Wiltshire on August 15, 1924. About nine months later, Lucienne had a son Abraxas Armand Malfoy on 15 May, 1925. And the Malfoys were satisfied and sufficient. Lucienne would meet a rather stupid ending by choking on a fish bone.

Tahpenia Black - "The Unknown Black"?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Blanca Suarez as Tahpenia Black, wife to Atlantes Black, and mother to Cetus Black I.
The maiden name or lineage of Lady Black was never explicitly revealed, which many found quite strange. It was simply stated that one day, Atlantes Black became the husband of this young, unsuspecting woman. She was a rather imposing presence in the original estate belonging to the Black family, and people often felt increasingly uncomfortable in her presence. Rumours spread that she was a descendant of Ezkridis, the original inhabitant of the fortress of Azkaban. But they were soon dispersed by her husband, set to be besotted with his wife. They had their son, Cetus, a year after they married, continuing the bloodline smoothly. Unlike most women expected to be submissive, she had her own ways of convincing hr husband to do things the way needed, to practice Dark Arts freely in their household without the Ministry being informed, to find more "wonderful ways" to keep the bloodline pure. She was even willing to resort to sibling incest.
She disapproved of her son's choice of a bride and was often said to have criticized Prosperine's every move, despite Atlantes and Cetus's increasingly angrier protests. She even resorted to harming Hyperos Black for courting a Nott, beneath their standards, before she was killed off by a tired Atlantes. Lord Black seemed to be in a daze afterwards, just realizing how much of a strange hold Tahpenia had on him.
Nobody afterwards spoke of Tahpenia as much, and her identity soon faded away by the time Cygnus Black I was born. It's like they wanted to forget.

The Noble and the Most Ancient House of Black - Licorus Black's generation
Licorus Nigellus Black (1808 - 1872): eldest son and heir, naturally, the middle name is after his father. Licorus is a form of the name Lycorus. In Greek mythology, Lycorus was a son of the god Apollo. Nigellus is of Latin origin, meaning "champion", or "dark-haired".
Phoebe Prosperine Black (1810 - 1882): middle name after Prosperine ofc, Phoebe is an odd name for a family with constellation theme but Phoebe is also the name of a moon of Saturn that is described as being lamp black in colour. This loosely fits in with the Black family tradition of using celestial names for their children.
Alexia Concordia Walkin Black (1812 - 1900): Her mother's heiress. Her middle name is after her mother, and also she took Walkin as a name.. which is pretty obvious.
Eduardus Leto Limette Black (1820 - 1899): Eduardus is a Latin form of the name Edward, meaning "prosperous, blessed guard". Leto is of Greek origin, meaning "hidden", or "forgotten" which seems to fit well since Eduardus was disowned, hence "forgotten" by later members of the family.
Hesper Plaides Black (1820 - 1820): The name Hesper comes from the Greek Hesperos (Ἕσπερος), meaning "evening star" — typically referring to the planet Venus when it appears in the evening sky.

Irene Manco as Taissa Kipling (Taissa K as her innie in Optics & Design, assisting Burt G.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Taissa has grown up in the cult of Kier as long as she can remember. Having to learn The Nine at the age of 10, she attended the Myrtle Eagan School of Girls alongside the Eagan heir, Helena. She was told to be proud that an Eagan could be her classmate and that to possibly befriend her could boost her advantage if possible.

And I do believe either Sirius Black II or Arcturus Black III had something to do with this. More leaning towards Sirius Black II. He was not pleased with his son's choice of a bride, considering the Macmillans were not the most "leaning in on blood-purity". And he believed his grandson had gone "too soft" because of the Macmillan blood in him.
Arcturus was rather helpless but had to follow his father's orders.
From what I’ve seen, Orion Black is portrayed as an abusive husband and mentally disturbed man who made his wife’s life a living Hell from the start to finish. Alternatively, I also sometimes come across interpretations of him being a submissive and acquiescent partner at Walburga’s side, watching as she mistreated both their sons with very little intervention on his part.
Although these are only some versions of how I’ve seen Orion Black portrayed in the perspectives of others, I REALLY want to see a softer, more caring side of him where he actually seems to love both Sirius and Regulus. I want to see Orion genuinely trying to show his children how much he cares, even if that means going as far as to divorce Walburga and take full custody of the children.
Orion just wants to run away with his boys. There came a breaking point in his marriage with Walburga where the man just had enough of the abuse and manipulation. He could no longer stand the screams of his children and the unstable state Walburga found herself in. Orion wanted to protect Sirius and Regulus, wishing them to give the two a safe and happy childhood.

Ben Daniels as Radolphus Lestrange I, husband to Lutsilla Karkaroff, father to Pyxis, Radomir, and Alesfina Lestrange.
He was the Minister of Magic from 1835 - 1841. He attempted to shut down the Department of Mysteries during his tenure, and eventually resigned due to ill health, which was rumoured to be an inability to cope with the stress of the office.
He was a member of the pure-blood Lestrange family and had entered office during his late 20s. He was married to a Russian pure-blood socialite, Lutsilla Karkaroff, in one of the grandest weddings Wizarding Britain had seen. By the time he became Minister, he was the father to three children: Pyxis, Radomir, and Alesfina Lestrange.
Alesfina, at a young age, developed pediatric MS, better known as multiple sclerosis in adults, an autoimmune condition that affected her nervous system. Due to the said system, it had attacked her myelin cells, which were the protective covering of her nerves, and disrupted nerve signals to her body, rendering her muscles weak.
She would develop a foggy memory but would generally be assisted by a healer, specifically appointed by Radolphus. But her condition only worsened, Pyxis and Radomir watching as their sister slowly and steadily became "useless" according to some.
During the New Year's Eve Gala at the Lestrange Manor, Alesfina, still wheelchair-bound, enjoyed the celebrations from the top of a bannister, overlooking the extravagant ball. Someone decided to play a cruel trick on her, and the next thing you know, the daughter of Radolphus is hanging from the bannister. Her grip slipped, and she immediately fell with a thud, alerting everyone. Alesfina was dead.
(will continue this!)

Holy cow I absolutely love Proserpine. Few questions:
Are Artemisia and Verus direct ancestors of Abraxas, Lucius, and Draco?
Do you potentially see Hyperos having children?
Do you have a family tree link for your headcanons?
🩷
hi! and tysm!
Artemisia and Verus are, in fact, direct ancestors of Abraxas, Lucius, and Draco!
I haven't really planned on making a family tree as such, although I should.

A Black Ancestor?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lotte Verbeek as Prosperine Black (nee Limette), daughter of Aymeric Limette II and Artèmise Limette (nee Gage), wife of Cetus Black I, mother to Nigellus Black I, Artemisia Black, and Hyperos Black III.
Prosperine was born into the prosperous Limette family in Languedoc, France. She was the only daughter of pure-blood nobles Aymeric and Artèmise. Two years after her entrance into Beauxbatons, they welcomed their son and heir, Armand Limette. While she was beloved by some, others criticized her, but she was growing into a lovely young woman, deemed suitable for marriage and blessed with the potential for motherhood. The Limettes were harsh and zealous in their blood-purity values and instilled the same onto their children. She was often distant from Armand for their age gap was too great for them (12 years) to ever actually bond properly, yet there was always a sense of protectiveness over him.
It was during this time that she met Cetus Black I, a pure-blood who was nearly six years her senior. The Noble and the Most Ancient House of Black's history was popular, even in France. And a marriage to their heir would deem good political connections in Wizarding Britain as well. The Limettes were influential, yes, but only to a certain region. Beyond Languedoc, they didn't have much influence like the Rosiers. So, if a Limette daughter were to marry a Black heir, that would not only boost the status quo of House Limette but also pull them out of the obscurity cliff and possibly give them more power.
Kind of like a jackpot if you are well established in your home region already and want to spread your influence.
She was married off to Cetus Black I in her seventh year, becoming pregnant with their heir Nigellus Cetus Black I (1783) during their honeymoon. They soon moved to England and settled in the Black family Estate inherited by Cetus.
Almost three years later, Lady Artèmise Limette would pass away from a riding accident, leaving Aymeric, Prosperine, and Armand devastated. In that same year, Cetus and Prosperine would have their daughter, who was named Artemisia after her late grandmother. Not after the ancestor who turned out to be a half-blood. Their youngest child and second son, Hyperos Gaius Black III, would be born five years later.
Her son, Nigellus Black - I would marry a Concordia Walkin and become the father of Licorus Black (1808), Phoebe Black (1810), Alexia Walkin Black (1812), since Concordia was an only girl and they needed someone to continue the line if possible, Hesper Black (1819 - 1820), and Eduardus Limette Black. Armand's heir, Aymeric III, had passed in stillbirth, and he only had five daughters, so Eduardus was soon taken in by House Limette to be their heir.
Her daughter Artemisia Black would be married off to a Verus Malfoy and bear his heirs. (names tbd)
Her youngest child, Hyperos, would be married to a Nott and they would move to Greece.
