My grandparents are baffled when we just don’t care about certain things. The last time we did a socially distanced lunch they were complaining that our neighbor keeps really old broken cars that he likes to work on in his front yard and we were like “Yeah, and?” and they didn’t know how to respond to that.

Like the very idea that we would just mind our own business and tolerate mildly annoying behavior from other people is like rocket science to them. They just can’t comprehend it.

As much as I know this is just lazy doubling up of resources, I'm really enjoying the mental image of Dad running to different spots in the crowd and shouting support in an increasingly ridiculous series of disguises.

So I’ve been reading through Lovestruck stories at the moment and when you get to read through a lot of different stories in quick succession, it really calls you out on if you have a type.

Apparently my type is tall, buff bodyguards who try to stay away to “protect” their partner and have to survive way too many assassination attempts

Voltage Reaches Agreement with ‘Lovestruck’ Writers, Ending Strike

On August 6, Voltage Entertainment and the Voltage Organized Workers announced that they had reached an agreement, ending the 21 Day Lovestruck strike that began on July 16.

The strike began after all 21 freelance writers for Voltage’s Lovestruck app, a romance visual novel style platform, banded together under the name Voltage Organized Workers (VOW) to demand better wages, conditions, and transparency. According to VOW, the writers were often forced to work under tight deadlines and were paid half the industry standard. The strike led to the delayed release of many “episodes” on Lovestruck.

Negotiations between the two seemed to stall on July 21 when Voltage released a public statement refusing to recognize VOW as a union and engage with collective bargaining. This response generated pushback within the Lovestruck community, as both fans and former Voltage employees pushed back against the company’s unfair wages and supposed union-busting tactics. However, VOW said that they remained hopeful.

The reaction on the fanbase and continued stance of the writers appear to have been effective, as Voltage and VOW announced that they came to an agreement. VOW released a statement on Tumblr announcing that all 21 writers had received “a meaningful pay increase and improved transparency at work.” They went on to thank their fans’ support during the strike and expressed their enthusiasm at returning to work and welcoming players to return to their favorite characters.

VOW told YuriMother: “We really hope this turns into a net positive for everyone. We want fans to play the game”

Voltage’s statement thanked fans for their patience and claimed that new internal policies were implemented as a result of the strike. While the release schedule will continue to be slow, the company hopes to get back to full-scale daily releases.

Why can't anyone in this stupid fandom act grown up for once? Y'all do realise that, if you have a problem with something, you can still be civil and call it out like normal people? Without insults? It's one thing to hate the thing written, I hate it, but you don't see me going on her twitter to insult her. What does that even accomplish?

Ya know if you have a female Sam the scene doesn’t really make much sense. Like this dude is marrying his daughter off to a successful business woman for her reputation. How can he say shit like women belong at home when he has a gay daughter marrying a business women ??! like might as well add a dash of homophobia to the mix to make the female Sam storyline make more scenes jeez
