Dear @playchoices
Hope your team is doing well at a time like this. You're doing great job listening to people and consider the opinions people bring up. From my side I thank you for being an amazing interactive game.
From the choices players I have some opinions to tell regarding the current book Open Heart Book 3.
This book is great with wide perspectives of MC and their travelling throughout the residency. I love how MC has developed so much and treating patients like a pro. There are some opinions we want to tell so your team could consider these and put them out in future plots ahead.
All love interests could be represented equally (the team's doing a great job in this book but could avoid too much gap on them) and not like missed few chapters on some of them.
From my side I wish that MC could become official (engagement and later a wedding with them please🥺) to the Love interest chosen and also spend some time and chapters with them. I want to travel more with them, know and understand them than working only at the hospital. People have life outside work as well! I don't want an ending where it's love words and poof it's finished.
The Love interests are showing great care and love to MC but they're like generic which could be fixed as we're all the way with 3rd book.
We want a satisfactory ending(If the team plans for another book please go for it🤩) for all the choices players as this book is the best and always has a special place in our hearts so please consider these for us.

Ok. So.
I am - like the majority of this fandom - aware of the issues PB have done. I’m sure we all know what im referring to; the misrepresentation of POC, not enough female LI’s and the bad distribution of screen time for LI’s in certain books. I think it is wrong that PB didn’t act upon player’s voices earlier, and how they seemed to brush people’s opinions away. That is not okay.
Although, I was personally very pleased with the statement that Oliver came out with. I think he did a good job apologizing and acknowledging his and the company’s mistakes. And I loved how he incorporated the ways to fix them, and telling us there will be a change.
Here is the problem;
I love being a part of fandoms, because you can share your personal opinions, feelings etc. and share your obsession for characters/celebrities/books/movies/etc. Something being a part of the choices fandom have taught me, is to look critically on plots, character development and storylines - which I am very grateful for. I love when I see people have an opinion that is contrary to my own. I learn, see things from their perspective and understand that your own identity and experience can make you look at things differently from other people. I will always be grateful when people educate me, other people and companies on their ignorance or misinterpretation. Therefore - I am part proud and happy that so many people took a stand with the Ethan/Rafael/OH2 LI, because it actually led to PB changing the storyline up for the better. I supported the constructive criticism, because I agreed with how unfair the LI’s were treated. Especially since OH is a book with such diverse characters, it is icky that Ethan was being focused so much on, as he is almost the only white character, and the only white LI. I agreed that PB could and should be doing better.
Now. Like I said, ‘I was part proud and happy’ and that is a reflection solely on the people that voiced their opinions and called PB out on the racial/injustice/unfair treatment issues. It is feelings I felt towards people trying to make PB a better company, and teaching them whilst demanding better. What I also was, was part frustrated and annoyed. This is towards all the people that was bullying not only a company, but actual writers - people, that have real emotions. And before you twist my words - no, I’m not baby’ing a company and grown adults. No, I’m not saying that racist behavior should ever be tolerated. I’m saying that those people who would leave criticism, hate and pure negativity for the writers - they made me feel frustrated and annoyed.
It is now to a point were we are judging every book, every character, every sneak peek and every move that PB does. Like I mentioned before, I love the discussions and different opinions. What I don’t love is how everything now is pure negativity. And the intentions are to make PB feel bad. The choices fandom is no longer a place where we can reflect and analyze, it is a place where everything is picked apart and people will get shamed for the stupidest reasons. I hate that some of the outrageous acts has been contacting writers and harassing them. That. Is. Wrong. I can’t comprehend that some of y’all actually think that is okay??? Not only is it of course extremely wrong, you are also removing the importance of valid complaints and issues - by acting childish and dumb, and only caring about spreading negativity.
I don’t really have a conclusion since I don’t know what to conclude. I just hope you understand the difference between wanting change for actual valid issues, and wanting to spread negativity and hate, only to piss people off and make the writers feel bad. That’s all. Thank you for reading.

My Two First Loves, Ch. 1-3 AKA To Two of the Boys I've Loved Before
What happened this week:
Bachelor #1, Mason, is very much the jock stereotype, and also happens to be your longtime crush. However, before you could cough up your puppy love crush to him, he dips and says that he’s got a girlfriend. Oof, your teenage dreams are crushed.
Once again PB spins The Wheel™ and this time, it lands on “dead parents”! That’s right folks, your mother is sadly no longer with you. Your father seems to be rather absent, and your sister’s pretty chill. I bet y’all a nickel that she’s involved with whatever tomfoolery Noah’s up to. Who is Noah, you ask? Keep reading and you’ll find out.
Ladies and gentlemen, enter the female best friend! Ava Lawrence, who is bound to be either the third, “surprise” (codeword for “sidelined”) LI, the “I’m only here to improve your fashion” BFF, or the prime source of your exposition on what’s going on in the world around you. Take your bets, people. Which’ll it be?
In a *shocking* turn of events, Ava is actually Mason’s girlfriend. How will MC get herself out of this one? Stay tuned to find out.
She runs into a drug dealer, that’s how!
Bachelor #2, also known as Noah, saves you from the drug trouble and in return you can give him a tour of the school. I don’t know why, but the dialogue between him and MC felt really stilted? Like a really bad game of verbal ping pong. Something about it just felt unnatural.
Thoughts:
I thought that treating this review like a game show would make me smile a little more. I was right. And in a surprise bonus round, PB spins The Wheel™ again! This time it (unsurprisingly) lands on “*That* [White] Male LI”! I should really make an updated version of this thing.
The past tense first-person writing shocked me for a bit but I think it was an interesting decision for this type of book. It gives off the coming-of-age vibe that a lot of these kinds of stories have. It didn’t work with StD, but it seems to be working with this one.
CGs are beautiful, as always. Say what you want about PB but the artists are talented.
How. The hell. Did PB stretch this book out so much that each chapter is shorter than a Witness chapter. I know it’s for the daily release schedule but come on. The bar is practically underground at this point.
I can’t believe that PB reused names for all of their main characters. Emma Hawkins, Mason Dalton, Mackenzie Harris, Ava Cunningham, and Noah Marshall all don’t deserve this. There are so many names in the world. And they reuse all of them. Hell, they even reused the Harris surname! What is this, the fucking Hunger Names?
Still disappointed that the two first loves are both male but here’s to hoping MC will have her bi awakening so wlw players can somewhat enjoy themselves while reading this book. How much longer until a prioritized female LI, huh, PB? Still coughing up empty promises?
The fact that the entire main cast is race customizable (even though PB still never bothered to create new MC faces) deserves its own bullet point.
All in all this book is simple, cute, and not overly cheesy. It’s chill. I didn’t want to make the same mistake I did with MotY and assume/judge a book by its cover but I’m decently enjoying it. Fingers crossed it goes well.

(Chap 26. OH AU 3) - A Good Deed
I can’t believe it! Only another four more chapters and OH AU 3 is coming to an end 🥺😢 On the plus side, I’ve got a few things in the works 😋 I’ll announce more when we get to finale time 🙌🏻 I ALSO LOVED THIS CHAPTER
(Chap 1 - 25. OH AU 3) - Masterlist
(Chap 26. OH AU 3) - A Good Deed
“Um, Ethan?” Denise glanced out the car window then turned to Ethan with a confused frown. “I don’t understand…” He had pulled up in front of an abandoned office building when they were suppose to be meeting Hunter for dinner at ‘Maison du Peuple,’ the French restaurant near the Charles river. “I thought we were meeting Hunter for dinner, why are we parked in front of an abandoned office building?“
“We are going to dinner, but he texted and said to meet him at this address first.” He reached for her hand as he turned to her with a smirk. “You know, if I had your sense of dark humor, I’d say something like…‘I’ve brought you here to kill you and inside that abandoned building is where I intend on dumping your body.’” She snorted, then burst into laughter, making him laugh too.
“Wow, Ethan.”
“I can listen and learn.”

(Chap 25. OH AU 3) - The Waiting Game
Denise sat beside Ethan on the couch, her iPhone in his hand on speaker as they chatted to Hunter. They’d tried to call using Ethan’s phone but because it was an unknown number, it had been diverted to his assistant, Harry Denholm instead. Being a recent hire, Harry had no idea who Denise Hogan was, unlike Hunter’s last assistant. He’d hung up on them with zero hesitation, even after Denise introduced herself and asked to be transferred to Hunter.
“He just hung up on us.”
“Yeah, but I’m not surprised.”
Thankfully, Denise had kept her old phone number moving from California to Massachusetts. Recognizing the phone number and area code flashing on his screen, he’d picked up her call with a laugh.

(Chap 24. OH AU 3) - New Money
Taglist is acting up again, so check if you’ve read the last chapter first.
(Chap 23. OH AU 3) - Moving On
(Chap 1 - 23. OH AU 3) - Masterlist
(Chap 24. OH AU 3) - New Money
It was during lunch with Denise and Naveen that Ethan disclosed to them of all he’d been doing since his suspension. He broke down all his research, relayed the information from the discussions he’d had with consultants, laid out the steps he’d taken and the steps that were to come. Ethan and Denise then told Naveen about Eleanor’s cheque and letter; the beginning to the end of Ethan’s career at Edenbrook, but the start of his forever.
It was evident to Naveen just from the way Ethan talked that this private practice was going to be his forever. He had the same look on his face talking about it as whenever he talked about Denise; a look of absolute clarity and sureness as though he’d been asleep and was finally awake, seeing the world for the first time with all its golden opportunities.

(Chap 22. OH AU 3) - The Brand New Batch
(Chap 1 - 21. OH AU 3) - Masterlist
(Chap 22. OH AU 3) - The Brand New Batch
The two older doctors stood by the elevator with the young intern and waited. Denise chatted with Rosie, answering questions she had both personal and professional. Ethan half-listened, his eyes trained on the entrance. Would they even come through the main atrium, or enter the hospital from the staff entrance by the parking lot? Rosie said she was waiting for them, so clearly they’d arranged to meet in the main atrium by the elevators.
“Thomas, James!”
Even with his eyes trained on the entrance, Ethan had missed the two interns while deep in his own thoughts. By the time he had snapped out of it, Dr. Thomas Bryson and Dr. James Reid were standing in front of him. Though they were looking and smiling at Denise, or at least Thomas was; James had a somewhat indifferent expression on his face, a man of little emotion apparently.

(Chap 21. OH AU 3) - Reputation
Ethan and Denise walked alongside each other through the hospital’s main atrium towards the elevator, her hand in his. He loved holding her hand and held it whenever he could, but this morning it was more to provide her with a little warmth than affection.
He’d noticed a while back that her hands were often cold, even when it wasn’t all that cold out. He’d teased her with a fake diagnosis after he made certain she didn’t have any serious health conditions; he was a doctor first and foremost and cold hands were a symptom to several illnesses.
Ethan walked over to where Denise was sitting in his office and descended onto a knee. “Are you okay?” She looked up from her textbook with raised brows, then quickly furrowed when he took both of her hands in his. “Uh, Ethan?” She eyed him peculiarly. “What are you…doing?”

(Chap 1 - 19. OH AU 3) - Masterlist
(Chap 20. OH AU 3) - The Next Steps
Denise was up at 4:33AM the next morning, though it was really the same morning as she’d fallen asleep at 1:08AM. By the time Ethan joined her in the kitchen at 4:50AM, she was already on her second cup of coffee and halfway through her bowl of oatmeal. As her fiancé, it definitely made his heart ache seeing how exhausted she look. But as a fellow doctor, her predecessor- he felt like he was looking at a mirror. This was the life they’d sign up for, the sacrifice they had to make for the sake of their patients.
“Good morning.” He pressed a quick kiss to her cheek then moved to pour himself a cup of coffee. He didn’t have as long a day ahead as she did, but he was a little addicted to the caffeine. “Is that your second cup?” He asked after taking a sip out of his own.
“Mm hm,” she nodding, sipping her coffee as well. “I didn’t make you breakfast, by the way. I’m sorry,” she apologized though he waved her off. “I wasn’t sure if you wanted to wake up since you don’t have to and we had a pretty late night.”
