she would be the first to admit how completely ridiculous this, as any other celebration, was. one day each year to glorify monsters, to hide behind masks and make-up, and then the remaining days of the year were spent avoiding just that. jiwoo had never understood the concept of halloween, or anything horror-related, and was therefore stood by the drinks contemplating whether it was too early to go home or not. her train of thought momentarily stopped as a small frame crashed against her, and her colorful drink spilled all over her and the other woman. the detective might’ve found herself growing annoyed had it not been for the pair of familiar eyes she saw when shifting her attention from her soaked blouse to narae. ❛ there are other ways to get me out of my clothes, you know. ❜

though the girl had no affiliation to halloween, or most holidays - there was one thing she was really good at and that was partying, she had naturally felt drawn to go there and now that she had arrived part of her believed that perhaps the girl opposite to her was part of the reason why. ever since she had interned for the other she had been weak, something about jiwoo’s presence so alluring to the younger. ‘ i would know, i’ve done it before haven’t i ? ’ narae replied, trying to pretend as if she wasn’t somewhat happy she had ended up spilling the drink. ‘ need any help cleaning that up ? i probably have a spare shirt somewhere.. ’

unlike most of the gwangsan citizens narae had never really celebrated halloween, out of all the holidays it was one of which her mother had deemed unnecessary - never having had time to sow up a costume for the girl or to paint her face. therefor the girl had ended up with some weird disassociation to the holiday, it hadn’t even come up to her to go to the haunted house party until she had seen endless snapchat stories of it. the brunette had put on a last minute costume, which was really just a dark blue skirt and a police officer’s blouse. as usual the girl made a flattering entrance, feeling as if she was being purposely tripped by one of the ghosts that apparently haunted this house she landed right against another party-goer, spilling the drink they were holding over the both of them. ‘ oh god ! i’m so so sorry ! ’

ok so narae is lowkey inspired by my homegirl meredith grey , aka one of my fav fictional characters of all mf time !!

she was raised by a single mother, her father left them when she was around ten and she hasn’t seen him since then and even if he had tried to reach out for her her mother wouldnt have let him. she has always held a massive grudge towards him for making her having to work less in order to take care of her daughter, she has always been the kind of woman who puts work before everything and not being able to do that killed her, and narae was the one who had to deal with it.

having a mother work as a full time lawyer narae learned very young how to be independent and that was something that always really stuck by to her tbh , the idea of having to depend on someone else kinda scares her nd she often finds herself getting attached p soon nd just ending up distancing herself the second she notices she does it

due to her mother being a lawyer narae spent a lot of her time as a child in police stations, law offices nd court halls nd due to that she found herself to develop an interest in true crime and the police, when she was a kid she wanted nothing more than to be a police officer but due to her eyesight not being well enough she’s given up that dream and is now studying to be a forensic scientist, she won’t be doing any field work but she’ll still be able to work for the police in the background.

she can be very outgoing and loud tbh , despite her passion for the law ig she likes to hav a good time nd will go out of her way to do so . she is a v excessive drinker, has used drugs on occasion nd is not opposed 2 hooking up or anything kjdhkfjhf she’s pan but she definitely leans towards girls bc i lov a Gay .
