fingers danced along the bartop, nails tapping in time with the beat bleeding through the speakers — can hear the counts in her head before luisa’s pulled from her temporary trance. snapped back to reality in record time, leaving little room for hesitation. “ hello, my friiiiend. ” greeting mirrored the lively lilt of his own, lips splitting into a grin that sat so comfortably on her face. apples of her cheeks were kissed with a rosy hue and lipstick marks on either side to match … evidence of a goodbye from dear friends she’d met all of what, thirty minutes ago ? or was it twenty ? she wasn’t too sure, far too swept up in conversation to keep track. splayed hands came together in a clasp as she mulled over the options for a moment. “ as tempting as it sounds, ” the cran-apple concoction, she was never one for gingerbread – found it tasted too much like a festive candle, “ i think i'm going to pass. how about you whip up a drink based on my vibe instead ? ” the proposition an attempt to break up the monotony. who knows how many gingertinis he was slinging that evening. based on a single glance alone she'd need at least two sets of hands to count. “ you up for a little challenge ? ”

despite living what he believed to be a fairly quiet life, angel seemed to thrive working as a bartender. he was always having lively conversations and being just a little bit showy when he made the drinks. he enjoyed the atmosphere, it gave him an opportunity to show his more extroverted side. after finishing his latest interaction, he turns to someone at the bar who had sat down just a minute earlier.

"is there anything i can get for you, my friend?" the question comes with a jovial tone and a smile on his face. "if you haven't been here before i would recommend our gingerbread martini or cranberry-apple sangria, both from the seasonal menu. personally, i'm partial to the sangria but you can't really go wrong with either."
