its so silly to think about how intelligence can be influenced by genetics but is not necessarily a genetic thing. my maternal grandpa was one of the mechanical engineers who designed the airbag system used in most modern vehicles today, specifically the steering wheel / driver safety portion, and he's currently using that knowledge of engineering now to help rework a laser to preform an otherwise incredibly invasive eye surgery, at the age of 79. my father is reworking the entire aerospace maintenance system possibly worldwide by creating the first actual bridging software, because he's bored of doing it by hand. then there's me. the guy who teaches 12 year olds what verbs are for the 100th time.
