you can tell a show is written by people who've never left LA when the characters are like "I'm from a small town with one traffic light where everyone knows your business" and then the town has a population of like 35,000. bitch life in a town that big is just like life in a city except there's no airport
#as someone who went to college in a small town of 27k this is accurate#plenty of stoplights and fast food restaurants#the only real difference between this and a larger town was that there was a lot more independent mom & pop stores/restaurants#and it took like 10 mins to drive from one side to the other#also you can tell no one ever left LA due to horrible knowledge of the area they writing#like a map and google exists#THE INTERNET EXISTS#nothing make me laugh harder than when people set their stuff in tx and you can tell they never looked at a map in their life#it's so fucking funny
