A graduate of North Carolina State University, Chris Flouhouse earned a BS in business management. While earning his degree, he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and served as Treasuer on the interfraternity council board, as well as organized charitable events. Graduating in 1998, Chris Flouhouse secured a position with Wells Fargo Securities. Working with corporate clients, he is currently a Managing Director in Investment Banking and Capital Markets. Throughout his career, Chris Flouhouse has maintained links to Pi Kappa Phi as well as a number of charitable causes. He currently serves on the Cornerstone Committee for Teach for America in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also served as President of the Leatherheads, an organization dedicated to promoting tourism in Charlotte, North Carolina, through the promotion of sporting events such as college football games. He is a fan of the Carolina Panthers, the Charlotte Hornets, and the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

Charlotte Sports Foundation Presents the ACC Championship Game

A Managing Director at Wells Fargo Securities, Chris Flouhouse has worked since 1999 at the firm鈥檚 office in Charlotte, North Carolina. Alongside his professional activities, Chris Flouhouse supports several local organizations, including the Charlotte Sports Foundation. Dedicated to advancing sports-based initiatives in the Charlotte area, the Charlotte Sports Foundation sponsors a variety of events throughout the year. The organization鈥檚 signature events include the Belk College Kickoff Game, the Belk Bowl, and the Dr. Pepper Atlantic Coast Conference Football Championship Game, an event that generates tens of millions of dollars for the Charlotte community each year. The 12th annual Dr. Pepper ACC Championship Game will be held December 2, 2017, at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. This will mark the sixth consecutive year that Charlotte has hosted the Championship, which is one of the most-attended games in college football. In addition to a game featuring the top teams in the ACC, fans who attend the Dr. Pepper Championship are treated to two days of events, including a 5K run for charity. Fans also have the opportunity to enjoy live music, play games, interact with school mascots, and meet legends of the ACC.

Leatherheads - Promoting Sporting Events in the Charlotte Community

Chris Flouhouse is a Charlotte, North Carolina financial services professional with Wells Fargo Securities. An avid sports fan, Chris Flouhouse supports the North Carolina State Wolfpack, Charlotte Panthers, and Charlotte Hornets. He is a member of the Charlotte Sports Foundation Leatherheads Group and served as President in 2015 and 2016. The name of the group hearkens back to an earlier era of football when helmets were made of leather instead of a hard, padded plastic shells. It also pays homage to the George Clooney movie of the same name, which was filmed at Charlotte鈥檚 Memorial Stadium. The mission of the group is to promote the region鈥檚 vital sporting community, with a focus on college athletics. The group's activities include drumming up ticket-buying interest in local events among sports fans and arranging volunteer visits by players and teams to area hospitals and food banks. Inspiration for the organization鈥檚 founding came from The Thunderbirds, which launched in he 1930s and is responsible for hosting a major PGA Tour stop in Phoenix.
