thor illustration

I decided to go for  a mix of  a few designs for this version of thor, mostly inspired by j micheal strazinsky’s 2006 run on the character except i made him sleeveless to reflect the characters classic design.

Spiderman profile picture

Spidermans suit has changed many many times over the years, hes had an all black alien symbiot suit,  stealth suits, bullet proof suits to name a few but he always goes back to the classic red and blue spandex

Iron man profile picture

I based this mostly off the 2008 movie version of the suit with the exception of the longer boots, reusing the arc reactor and the mask from my earlier illustrations to keep a level of consistency

as hulk says, hulk is hulk. He has the most consistent look as his costume is just him wearing ripped trousers 90% of the time

I had the idea to make my colophon report a comic book, complete with a comic book cover, so i sketched out an illustration of the characters i focused on:

Here we have the fully finished illustration of iron mans origin. overall i really like how it turned out bar the gradient background in the top half which i just couldn’t seem to get right, but anything else just took away from the foreground

Sketches for site headers

As stated previously each character section would have a illustration depicting the characters orgin at the top of the pages, but before i create these in illustration i first sketched them out; 

I had the cool idea to have the two parts blend together in each a unique way to the next and would be given some life via a parallax scrolling effect perhaps.

Firstly is iron mans origin, the top half would be tony working in the cave with the scraps of weapons seen in the background then would transition to the blueprints of the mrk 1 suit almost stepping out of the page. the blue prints would be sitting on the table and would scroll ontop of the table as you go further down the page

then came the fantastic four, their spaceship being bombarded with the cosmic rays in the first image with the fire trail of the rocket flowing into the human torches flame with the fully assemble 4 all together in the bottom half of the illustraion

then came captain america, the first half being his creation in the lab with the scientists onlookers, the smoke coming out of the machine that gave cap his powers would transition into the clouds in the sky the day cap fell into the ice

and then thor, the first would be the hammer lying in the cave being discovered by dr donald blake then the stalactites would become stalagmites (or the other way round i can never remember) and we would see thor in his full glory

Into the spider-verse movie artwork:book

Arfter rewatching this movie for the millionth time i decided to buy this artbook as it may be my favourite marvel movie, even if it is made by sony rather than disney simply for the animation style alone, and if that isnt good enough the movie is hilarious and the amazing writing hooks you in, i absolutely love this movie and had to have the book to get a look at behind the scenes.

Wire frames of site

I decided before i sketch out my illustrations of the characters i would do a set of more detailed wireframes

the header section would be where the illustration of the characters origin would be, then a further explanation of the character in question in the bio alongside a ‘profile picture’ of some kind, perhaps my own illustration or the official drawing of a artist for marvel I haven’t decided as of yet.

the illustation in the header section would be of the charcters orgin in two parts with thought boxes that detail the events told by our sites ‘mascott’ eternity.

after these initial sketches i did a more streamlined outline of the site as you can see below
