An update on an old friend

I came up with the design over 20 years ago, now that I got a cintiq I decided to play around with it some more.

Finally finished this. Started it in an intous and finished it in a cintiq. Lots of learning here and still more learning to do. The plan was to make an X series design using the zero series coloring style.

Edit: also did an alternate version with the original concept I had years ago with black limbs and gold joints. Fiddling around with the logo a bit to be more like the Zero one but keeping the same shapes. Considering adding the circuit look inside as well. That’s a work in progress though

Batmobile 2.0 a new project using different paints and methods . Using iridescent purple and green over black with a semi gloss clear coat. Used alclad black chrome for the turbine.

Working in a new model trying something new. I just want to put a disclaimer here and say I’ve got ADD so I always have a million projects going at once. Any way, I did one of theses when I was 12 or 13 and I used a brush on the body so it looked really bad.and I painted it flat black. However the interior was really detailed as I painted every little knob and dial. Long story short my nephew got a hold of it and ripped it apart. So as I’m older I do a bit more mental prep work as into what colors and stuff to use. I saw on an interview in the movie this car had purple and blue flip flop paint. Now I painted that first (as you can see in the first two pics) but it was way too noticeable. So I sprayed over it with some tamiya flat black and it’s exactly what I wanted, this is what you see here in the last 4 pics. (The last one is just with flash on) but the plan is to spray a semi gloss clear coat over the whole thing. Also when I originally painted my first one I had painted it more to the batman returns movie scheme. This will be like the first movie version. Again, ADD so I’ll work on it a bunch then stop to do something else. I’ve got the BvS batmobile right next to it that hasn’t even been assembled. The Tim Burton batmobile wil always be my favorite (with TAS batmobile being a very, VERY, close second.) so much about this car is just so amazing

Finally got some colors on this thing. I have an alternately colored version I’m considering but this is the classic colors

Finally painted up my RG wing like I wanted to. Early color style. This sat in a box with the colored parts primed with grey primer for 3 years. Most of the white parts are bare plastic other than the shoulders, forearms, and skirt tabs.
