History nerd alert! Check out this really cool find. It's a photo of #Dahlonega #Georgia from 1904. In the center of the frame is the oldest courthouse in the state of Georgia. The Lumpkin County Courthouse was decommissioned in the 1960's and converted into the Dahlonega Gold Museum. At the bottom of the frame is The Smith House, identifiable by the lone dormer / skylight which adds character to the hotel's guest room #3. At the top of the frame is Hillcrest (former funeral home on north Grove St) which was built in 1899 for the President of the Consolidated Mining Company. On the left side of the frame is Hall's Block (Paul Thomas Chocolates) and on the right side is the former Dahlonega Baptist Church building.
