Cincinnati Romans was a proposed name and aesthetic concept for a Cincinnati-based NFL expansion team in 1965, with the team's uniforms envisioned to include white helmets with laurel wreaths and warm-up jackets like Roman capes, but the NFL franchise was awarded to New Orleans, and Paul Brown eventually chose the name Bengals for the AFL team that would later join the NFL.
