Documenting the Process

Hi! I'm Evelyn. I am the author of a fantasy series titled The Chronicles of Keon. The first installment was published under the Wandering Minds Publishing umbrella this past January after years of rewriting and reworking until it came to be what it exists as now.

I spent about 7 years working on the novel. I started it as a teenager and as my writing abilities grew and evolved, so did my life as a whole. Writing would fall in and out of focus over the years until I hit a point in life that allowed me to really dive in and wrap things up.

Something I so wish I had the ability to look back on is just how the years of working on The Oracle went. Why so many things changed, why I hit walls, and what details I scrapped as time passed. I wrote and edited book two (titled The Myst) while freshly postpartum last year and, again, didn't document hardly any of what that looked like.

I created a separate tumblr for general author things and decided that I would try my hand at something wholly dedicated to writing The Chronicles of Keon.

So that's what this will be. It feels slightly odd to be making this post. I haven't had a tumblr in years--since simblr during Sims 3. It is nostalgic while plucking at slight anxieties and vulnerability. I thought at 25 I would be past such worries when it comes to putting myself out there, especially having been published.

But it's an attempt worth going for and I am working on finding a way to structure this blog to properly host all things Keon. I hope people find it and enjoy being a part of it.
