katiebirch:
Of course Weston had mentioned in passing that his sister was back in town, because how could he not? He was a man devoted to his family, and to his little sister with big dreams. But still, whenever people came back from the big city, it was usually not a great sign. They’d either self destructed, or they’d just failed to make it and couldn’t cope with the constant rejection. Katie had never shared those desires herself, she had no dreams of going on the stage or flying the coop to make her name in the big lights. No, she’d been quite content with staying in her home town, like each of her family members before her.
She had been out running errands when she spotted her, phone in hand as she tapped off another item on the to-do list. For that was what she’d become, a woman who ran her life through complicated list systems to ensure that everything was done right. But, seeing Ava in the flesh still stopped her in her tracks; everyone in that family had good genetics, but it was the frustration on the other woman’s face that more caught her attention. “Do they not do pennies in the big city?” she asked, coming to a stop near the fountain as she did. Of course, now they were a cashless society they had no need for coins, but she was sure she had some dusty old penny in the bottom of her purse. “Need a coin?”

Part of Ava had wished that nobody would see her in one of her lowest moments, but another part of her had begged for any form of warmth and contact. Even the donation of a tiny little penny shook her to her core. The small bit of kindness was something that Ava had been searching for since she lost her footing in Los Angeles. A small and ironic laugh bubbling underneath the surface, she turned to face the person who spoke to her. “Oh, they definitely did pennies in the big city. I’m just a big ol’ clown who doesn’t know how to keep track of it all.”  Her eyes narrowed as she tried to connect the face to a name that Weston had mentioned in her gossip sessions, but she just couldn’t figure it out. A functioning memory just wasn’t in the cards for her.
“If you don’t mind parting with the coin, I’d love it. I need the wishing power of the fountain to cling onto,” she joked. “I remember when I was younger, I had wished for a new dress to wear to someone’s birthday party. When my mom bought me the dress as a surprise, I felt so powerful. I genuinely believed that this thing could make my wishes come true.” Extending her hand out to shake the woman’s, a smile grew on her face. Alright, so maybe decent human contact was all she needed to improve her spirits. Unless this was a messy ex-girlfriend... But that’s a bridge she’ll cross when she gets there. “I’m Ava, by the way. Obviously you knew that if you knew that I moved, but I am super bad with faces and names. Which Eurekean are you again?”

( @eureka-starters ) Ava was so used to flying into Eureka and rushing out as soon as the holidays came to an end that she had no idea what to do with herself. She never really left her family’s side when she came back to town, so now she didn’t know where to go or what to do. The city that she had grown up in seemed a little distant in her memories and she felt a little displaced. But as much as she yearned to go back to Los Angeles, she was broke. Jobless and alone, Ava started to wander around the neighborhood for some inspiration. What the hell was she going to do with herself?
She found herself by Carson Square, leaving her to wonder how she had walked so far without noticing. Realizing that the fountain was right in front of her, Ava stuck her hand in her pocket to fish for some change. “Oh, c’mon... I don’t even have a penny?” she asked out loud before throwing her hands up in frustration. “Can I not have this one thing?”

OPEN START @ HENDERSON’S FARMERS’ MARKET
The day was full of errands. And for the first time in over a month, Sara was alone as she completed them. First to Happy Hands to submit final paperwork for upcoming childcare and then over to the Eureka Valley Tribune. More paperwork. Some time was spent shopping for new clothes, since her old things didn’t quite fit yet. But, most of the time was spent missing Benny. Six weeks had crept up on her unfathomably quick and she dreaded the coming Monday. Instead, she preoccupied her thoughts by strolling about Henderson’s, giving herself some time to adjust to being without the little bundle.
Before long, she’d accumulated a substantial bit of groceries. Much more than she could carry alone. Without wanting to make a second trip, she turned to the person closest to her, a bright smile curling the corners of her lips. “I’m sorry,” she started, adjusting the two bags already filing her arms. “But, would you mind helping me get these to the car? I’m parked just that way,” she nodded toward the parking lot where her silver Traverse waited.

Being back home wasn’t pleasant. It wasn’t that Ava harbored any ill feelings toward Eureka -- she’s just carried those feelings from freakin’ Los Angeles. She had to get out her frustrations, even if it was just a temporary release. It was still a little too cold for a swim, so Ava went to her next go-to. As she jogged, her memory started to shake off its rust and her path came naturally. If she could stay on the bright side of things, at least she wouldn’t get lost in the local neighborhood. She turned the corner, and Ava was a little disoriented. Alright, maybe she could get a little lost. Maybe playing Linkin Park while she ran in an angry daze wasn’t a good idea.
Ava seemed to pluck out her earbuds right on time to catch someone asking for a favor. “O-Oh--” she stuttered, not expecting to actually get into human contact. “Oh, of course! Sorry, I’m a little distracted.” She grabbed the next two bags that she could, her eyes popping a bit at the weight. “Holy-- This would be a good workout if I actually knew the proper form. Where should I go again?” Ava stumbled a bit with the bags, a little embarrassed to display just how weak she was. Her upper arm strength? Non-existent.

what is up demons, it’s ya girl! anne! this is ava jameson, she’s back in eureka to lick new wounds and try to get over the old. you can message me here or on my discord at big time rush stan#2868. under the cut is the quickest lil summary you’ll find about her as i’m still figuring her out. you can read more details here!
Ava is a Eureka native, born and raised. She left town at around 18 to pursue her dreams of being a singer in LA.
She actually made it! She became a lounge singer at a relatively popular club and she lived with her boyfriend who owned the place. Jackpot, amirite?
She’s Weston’s younger sister, so following along his bio, she’s lost her mother recently.
Because of the emotional turmoil of losing her beloved mother, a lot of bridges imploded in LA. She lost her job, her boyfriend, and her apartment in one fell swoop.
Ava tried to get back on her feet on her own in LA but eventually she had to move back to Eureka.
So she’s just moved back and boy, is she hurt and jaded.
Personality-wise, imagine Ariel from the Little Mermaid, Xiomara from Jane the Virgin, and Jason from The Good Place. She’s a little naive and idealistic, but she’s the most determined and passionate person you’ll meet.

Quote
She apologized all the time, as if it was a habit; but you could see it in her eyes that she meant it. Every apology was sincere. She was sorry for the way the world worked. She was sorry for everything.
