By the time I got back to the kitchen, the eggs had burnt. I had to start over, but I used the last of my onions on the last batch, so these weren't as tasty. I presented them to shizun and apologized but he refused to eat it (most definitely because the food was so bad and not because he's dead)"

The reason why I probably prefer cumplane soulmates rather than bingqiu soulmates is because bingqiu is the only MXTX couple that don't refer to themselves as soulmates in the book (as far as I remember). Wangxian call each other soulmates and hualian are tied by a red string, but bingqiu doesn't have that. Instead they had to fight fate to be together. Shen Qingqiu was the scum villain and Luo Binghe was the protagonist, they weren't meant to be, but they defied their destinies and fought to be with each other anyway

(You can think of Moshang the same way. Shang Qinghua was destined to be killed by Mobei-Jun, but he too defied his fate)

And also because cumplane soulmates is just so funny. Imagine indirectly killing a guy and ending up in the same world together in the next life. If you don't call them soulmates, then I don't know who is

One of the things that tickles me about SJ and SY fics is that well, sometimes they're brothers, sometimes they're parent and kid, etc, but the overall vibe is usually consistent like:

Turns out I was actually a lot more productive than I felt this year! I started trying this flat color style, starting with the Edelgard piece, and got to really liking and embracing it. It may be here to stay lol

also made some tristrat art, of course :) I want to do more for it in 2025

so, a very productive year! ...except for the part where I haven't shared a single shred of writing at all since October 2023. oops.
