It was just another normal day, right…? (Chapter 1: Glaze Lily)
Chiyoko woke up, stayed up late last night overworking herself, and ended up asleep on her desk, but the worst part was her crush Diluc in her dream…
After some self-reminders, Chiyoko started her day, she decided to go out for breakfast instead of making one. She also reminded herself of the missions of the day.
[“Drafts” added to inventory]
[To-do list: “Go to Wanmin Restaurant for breakfast”, “Submit drafts to Ms Utagawa” and “Commission: Submit hairpin to Lady Ningguang”]

But when she just stepped out of the store, she bumped into Zhongli. They had a little too long chat that the store manager interrupted them, reminding Chiyoko of her commission.

However Chiyoko asked, Zhongli agreed, they both agreed to stay in touch as well.

Chiyoko: (Everything is ever-changing, so why is the Raiden Shogun^ so obsessed with eternity? For her, what is eternity? Argh, why am I thinking of this...)
Zhongli: What's wrong?
C: (If it's Zhongli, then I guess it should be okay...) I... I just thought of Shogun-sama, I don’t know why.
Z: ...
C: Zhongli, for you, what is eternity? Or should I say, how can we achieve eternity?
Z: ...
C: (Did Zhongli just... remember something unpleasant?) I am sorry, I shouldn’t have said that.
Z: It's okay, it's normal for you to have such doubts. *Glanced at the sea* Hey, can you turn around?
C: Huh? Why?
Z: Please do as I say. And don't worry, I will explain it later.
C *Nodded,*: Okay.
C *Turned around*: (What is eternity? Can we even get close to it?)
Z: Sorry to keep you waiting. You can turn back now.
Chiyoko did as he said, and when she once again met Zhongli’s gaze, his gentle smile came into view, and surprisingly, he was even holding a Silk Flower.
Z: Every flower has its bloom and withering. But what if you take good care of it every day, witnessing its growth day by day until it fades?
C: ...
Z: Would you think that when it fades, it will end up vanishing from your memory?
C: Zhongli... (I... don't quite understand...)
Z: You don't have to give me an answer right away.
^ The Raiden Shogun is the Archon/god and empress of Chiyoko’s home country.

4 NB! Zhongli as Chiyoko agreed to meet and had a little chat.
It was Zhongli's voice that pulled Chiyoko back to reality, "Oh, sorry, I spaced out."
Throwing the doubts away, she apologized to him, "I'm sorry, Mr. Zhongli, I shouldn't have asked it."
"It is okay, Miss Ishihara, you don't have to take it to heart. But, a question if I may," Zhongli said as he studied her eyes, "Why did you ask it?"
"Uh, because… Well..." Chiyoko wanted to ask him why as well, "I-I want to know which type of girl guys generally prefer."
"..."
Chiyoko pursed her lips and continued, "There is a guy...I have liked him for years, no, I don't know if I still like him, I—"
No! Why am I… Instinctively Chiyoko turned her head away, covering her mouth. She couldn’t believe she just spilled the secret she had been hiding for years.
Zhongli didn't utter a word, Chiyoko had no idea what kind of expression was written on his face.
Inadvertently Chiyoko let out a sob, which she longed to undo, but it had already been gone like splashed water.
And it ended up drawing Zhongli’s attention.
"Miss Ishihara? What’s wrong?" Of course Zhongli was worried as Chiyoko could tell from his voice.
How careless I am… She hated her clumsiness, yet somewhat, she could feel a little bit of relief.
It hurts. It hurts to bottle it up and pretend everything is okay…
Chiyoko almost let out another sob. Squeezing her eyes, she swallowed the lump in her throat.
Yet, I don’t want to burden Zhongli with my past… Why? Why is it whenever I try to ask for comfort, it only hurts me more? Why would letting your heart speak hurt more than staying silent?
It hurt anyway.
Even part of her wanted Zhongli’s sympathy, Chiyoko refused to show him her fragility, hurriedly yet decisively she wiped her tears away, "I'm really sorry for saying something unpleasant to you. Don't worry, I'll be fine, just give me a moment."
Now, take a deep breath... Alright, no more worries, for they have been gone with the wind.
Despite the sadness, Chiyoko did not forget to take out her mirror and check her makeup. Fortunately, the one she had applied was a water-resistant makeup from Fontaine, otherwise she would have made herself a clown.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," Chiyoko finally made it to a normal mood and had her gaze returned to Zhongli, "As for my past, I really don’t want to talk about it, I hope you understand."
A few seconds later, Zhongli gave her a nod, "I understand, but please do not hesitate to request my assistance if you ever need help."
"Hmm, thank you." The heat on her cheeks just wouldn’t let her turn him down.
Though she was embarrassed, Chiyoko found no shame telling Zhongli her pretty little secret, in fact, she could feel that the chains of courtliness she had been bearing had shown a sign of shedding. Maybe she could tell Zhongli more about it when she was finally ready?

Narrative Homework 3 - Red Dust 紅塵
Ishihara Chiyoko, the young mistress of the Ishihara family, she traveled to Mondstadt and met the young master of the Dawn Winery, Diluc Ragnvindr, and ended up falling for him. To be his perfect lover, she began to pursue perfection.
Perfection to her was absolute, just like how it was to jewelry.
But things went south, Diluc “friend-zoned” her, she had to pull herself together and was finally determined to be a jewelry designer, one day she might have to take over the family jewelry business.
A Coin Has Two Sides: Kindness and perfection
Everyone said Miss Ishihara was a very nice lady, she showed her care through words and actions. Other than that, they also said whatever happened, she always prioritized others before herself, yet it also led to her bottling up all her sadness and loneliness, always forgetting to fix her big yet broken heart.
Chiyoko was born a designer, her talent and carving for perfection was a match. Though she had been trying to be better, closer to perfection, always did she pay attention to her subtle, unnecessary mistakes instead of improvements. Until a certain someone came into her life, she wouldn’t realize it was her own longing for perfection holding her back.

Narrative Homework - Red Dust 紅塵
2. Environmental Storytelling
As always, Liyue Harbor was already lively in the morning, the port was crowded with busy workers, while fishers selling seafood in the seaside market as customers came and went.
The weather was lovely, as the Ginkgo trees bathed under the clear sky, sunlight showering the red walls and green roof tiles of Feiyun Slope.
The peaceful singing of birds could be heard besides the window, a friendly reminder of which a new day had started.
Despite the merchants and pass-bys, Feiyun Slope seemed quieter as the hustle and bustle from Chihu Rock vaguely reached here, echoing through the avenue.
If Feiyun Slope was the downtown of Liyue Harbor, then no doubt Chihu Rock was the heart of this seaside city, a subtle yet wonderful community that always stayed young and lively even when night fell.
Citizens could all recognized the mouth-watering flavor from a certain restaurant, the smell of finely cooked fish in a spicy soup felt so good that it always turn on everyone’s appetite and brightened their day. A crowd had been formed outside the Wanmin Restaurant, customers inside the store were either enjoying their meal or waiting for their order, while those who were in a bit of a hurry waited for their breakfast.
"Uh... I... fell asleep..." Chiyoko rubbed her temples, it was the birds’ melody that woke her up.
The bedroom was tidy and clean, yet the desk was as messy as a battlefield, drafts and art supplies came into view, all shattered all around the desk.
Chiyoko recalled last night’s memory, she remembered she worked until midnight, her work was almost completed so she insisted on getting it done. Yet, fatigue grew heavier, so she took a nap and rested her eyes, which she ended up asleep on the desk.
But even though it was a silent, peaceful night, Chiyoko still felt tired, she had always been exhausted, both physically and mentally, it was not a fatigue that would be gone with a sleepful night. Growing up meant more and greater responsibilities, gradually memories faded under the baptism of work and duty.

Narrative Homework - Red Dust 紅塵 (A Genshin Fanfiction)
"I am afraid that noctilucous jade does not match the colors of these two crystals," Ms. Utagawa circled the magenta and violet on the butterfly wings. "You have a good aesthetic, Ojou-san, but in this case, I suggest you pick the ones with lighter colors."
  Chiyoko let out a sigh.
On her hands held a luxury-looking gift box, inside the box placed a flower hairpin. When the store manager opened the box, Chiyoko’s heart uncontrollably beat as if she was afraid that she would spot a flaw at a glance.
Yet when a gleaming Glaze Lily was presented, it was relief let out from her lips.
It was perfect, just like Lady Ningguang, who requested it.
Ningguang was a crazy rich woman so no doubt she was picky, but Chiyoko believed she would like it.
Thanking the store manager, Chiyoko left the store at a somewhat fast pace.
I hope she will be satisfied with it, or else everyone will—
  "Ah!"
Chiyoko felt bumped into someone. Instead of stepping back, she subconsciously raised her head, the moment she looked up, her purple eyes met a dust of gold.
Holding her breath, she failed to look away. The one she bumped into was a gentleman, a very handsome gentleman to be precise. As her gaze fixed on that stunning face, heat rose up on her cheeks, which brought her back to reality to wordlessly blame herself for her inappropriate behavior.
"I-I am sorry! I didn't mean it!" Taking a step back in a panic, Chiyoko bowed to apologize.
But she heard him let out a low chuckle, "My apologies, I was distracted."
That voice of his... sounds good... Her cheeks went even hotter at the thought.
Standing straight, Chiyoko once again met his gaze. Her eyes traveled up and down on him. She didn’t get it. Why was he wearing a suit when the weather was this hot? And he even looked totally okay. But it was not the point, she couldn’t help but look him in the eyes, that amber eyes of his were… breath-taking, perhaps not even the finest cor lapis could meet their beauty. And he even put on red eyeshadow, such an icing on the cake.
"Hmm," he casted a thoughtful look, "You look a bit like a friend of mine..."
  "Huh?"
"Oh, please accept my apology for saying such words."
"Ah hahaha, it's okay!" Chiyoko laughed it off, her instinct told her that he was a person with fascinating stories, in the meantime her heart urged her to further the chat.
"By the way, I am Chiyoko Ishihara. I work in Ishiharaya, which is this jewelry store. It is a pleasure to meet you."
"Likewise. I am Zhongli, consultant of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor." He gave Chiyoko a small smile, small yet big enough to melt her heart. "Is this your time to come to Liyue?"
"Oh, no, I've been here before," she clenched her chest, her heartbeat had stabilized, "I just moved here recently."
"You mentioned that you work in this jewelry store," Zhongli held his chin, "May I ask you something?"
