RunStreak Day 869: Sunrise run and bassing. Whenever I have a few minutes to spare in the morning, I like to hop out back and cast out a few times before getting the day started. So, @fieldandstream is running a clearance sale on the @stcroixrods and I picked up the Legend Tournament Bass rod and I tested it out today. Got a little bass this morning while casting out a few times before work, and then I went out on the yak after a nice afternoon shower and whoa buddy they were biting! They weren't big, but they were very aggressive tonight! One after another! I think I had 5 total plus 1 that shook loose at the boat this evening! RunStreak Day 866: Streaking Update! First of all, thank you @vantasticrunner for enticing me out of my routine of JAM (just a mile) runs which had been going on for nearly three months! Her extra mile yesterday inspired me to go ahead and run that extra mile this morning, and I'm so glad I did. I had been wondering how the heck am I going to get my complacent self to do more than just JAM runs. I just needed V to call me out. 👊🏼😘 Thank you! I'd say I'm still dealing with plantar fasciitis, but it's more so have been just resorting to living with it since nothing I do seems to alleviate it in a lasting manner so I'm just riding it out. It's not getting better, but it's not getting worse. So I just keep keeping on. Secondly, I've somewhat turned into a, #gasp, a morning runner! 😱 I've been running in the morning every day since early June, before coffee, which used to be a big deal for me since I don't function too well pre-coffee. ☕️ #caffeinateme Also, I've tried taking a few selfies to post on here, but I'm just not that photogenic in the morning, but who is? Not that I'm all that photogenic in the afternoon either. But that's beside the point. 💁🏻😅😂 Last but not least, I have a new streak going on! Well, sort of. A fellow streaker and sandal runner, Don Gmann, had challenged me a while back to start a bass fishing streak, since it had become my latest obsession. So, I tried to see if I could catch a bass every day, since I have a lake in my back yard and all. I think, so far, my longest #bassstreak is 3 days. I don't get to fish everyday, and even when I do, it's not everyday that I get to land one. But it's so much fun, and it's definitely making become a better angler. As of today I am a proud owner of a kayak! I got a sweet deal on an Ascend FS128T from Bass Pro and had tight lines and bent rods on its maiden voyage. I usually release my catch, but the first bass I caught from my new yak went belly up when I cut him loose, so I decided to thank him for his meat and Cajun fried him. RunStreak Day 826: Still running every day (albeit only a mile or two ) despite this lingering plantar fasciitis.
