Question for the Jemily shippers:

Would you genuinely like to see JJ and Emily become a thing in the show? How would you actually feel if they kissed after all these years?

I feel like our little jemily community has widely different opinions regarding this ship. We all love Jemily, but there are so many variations of them that we've headcannoned over the years and now with the cme social medias queerbaiting us (boldly too), I feel like there's a rift in the community. I, for one, mainly ship early seasons jemily. The writers weren’t intentionally queerbaiting the audience with little nods, but rather both characters were queercoded (which isn't great either but I don't think they did it intenially, again). As the series progressed though, and the show became aware of the ship and started playing into it/teasing the audience, the less I was into it actually becoming cannon. I think at this point it would feel really forced and out of character for both of them. Even if they theoretically tried to sell us on some bullshit like one of them saying they used to have a crush on the other or... ahem... thought of them as a third for a threesome their ex boyfriend suggested... it wouldn't undo the years of ignoring the pairs' potential as a romantic couple. So, to answer my own question, I think it would really weird me out to see them become a couple in cannon--- not that i think it will happen. Because I don't. I fully believe we're being baited through and through which pisses me off. I think it would feel a little uncomfortable??? I just think the writers/producers toying with us has made it feel.... like a joke? And I prefer to keep young jemily in my heart with their subtle looks and caring acts and hallucinating/dreaming of one another. I think in another universe they got to be together from the start, but in this one they shouldn't be and that's ok.
