Ages in Dragon Hunters

shout out to the creators just making gwizdo (and lian chu to an extent) an 'immature' 30 year old than an overly mature like 15 year old. I know with most cartoons they tend to keep the ages under 20 for characters especially for an 5-12 year old age range for watching. The ages allow like more mature themes and problems for the characters to go through, (such as gwizdos and lian chus orphan childhood) and how they deal with it as adults and gwizdos money hungry ideologies due to it.

I had such a hard time deciding where gwizdo and hector go, in all reality they could be fit in both of the 'yikes' and 'we only have $12 combined' area. :')

Jenny-line would be like over ecstatic like how she usually is in romantic adventures.

Gwizdo would hide under a chair or like straight up pull an episode 15 season one.

Lian chu would mumble words of wisdom.

Also i keep loosing at this I'm only on season 1 still but it's insane how many times the animators put gwizdo into this fucking pose. LIKE STOP WITH THE ZESTY AHH POSES

Dragon hunters french comic books are a bit weird. I live in canada I was jokenly sending images of the comic book to my friend. They're fluent-ish in French Canadian and the French within the books keeps switching between french Canadian and just french according to them. The wiki for dragon hunters constantly calls it a 'french Canadian' TV show despite it only ever being dubbed in straight french or english, and was never broadcasted in any Quebec kids channels. It may be referred to as a French Canadian TV show due to the animation being linked to Tooncan (a Quebec animation studio in canada) and co-existed with futuikon which is a french animated studio. Also I found this posting about a possible English version of a comic being paired with a dvd aswell. They're very easily found and bought online so it would be interesting to own it.

I can only imagine the hassle of having to animate Gwizdo running like this. It's so funny re watching dragon hunters and seeing this dweeb run like a goofy cartoon character. It is very in character though especially for a 'younger' gwizdo. Also I get that production messed up the timeline and they had to be careful with how to put things out but canonically gwizdo literally lost his mind at some point in his 20's. It's interesting to see how madness is interpenetrated in the dragon hunters universe (the eyes being all messed up) and watching the movie now with gwizdo threatening after his madness zoe it's a very weirdly dark moment in the film. LIKE HOW SCARY IS THAT?? (ik it looks funny screenshooted)

Obsessed with Dragon Hunters

I'm like actively drip feeding myself episodes of dragon hunters (currently only on season 1 episode 15) and I'm like so un-ironically glad that there is also other people actively obsessed with this niche tv show. I'm also very glad that this media did not get lost thankfully due to the timeframe of its release and the publicity it had from the movie as the creators obviously put heart and soul into the project. ps. Gwizdo is unironically like the most down bad I have been for a character it's insane.
