A bit of good news; A Scandinavian white power website has been hacked by AFA Sweden, with the names of their customers being leaked. A huge reminder to nazis worldwide that they're never safe.

"While the site offered a wide range of neo-Nazi music, clothing, and paraphernalia, its customers learned last week one thing they didn’t offer was infosec. This tough lesson was taught by AFA Sweden, a group of Stockholm-based anti-fascists, who ruined thousands of the site customers' holidays by releasing Midgård’s customer register.

“Since the 1990s, Midgård has played a significant role in the Nazi movement in Sweden, serving as an infrastructure for the movement,” reads the write-up accompanying the leak. “Over the years Midgård has actively participated in and financially supported several Nazi organizations as well as being present at internal events.

The data is freely available in a table on the anti-fascist websites and it contains not just the name of the probable neo-Nazis, but what they purchased, their phone numbers, the address they listed for delivery, and in the case of the Swedish customers, their social security number."

What’s even more frustrating is that I know y’all just gonna ignore this because tumblr is a very white dominated space and some of you don’t think you need to do any introspection at all because you think you’ve done the work already. But I am tired of y’all never centering or uplifting studs in lesbian spaces. They’re not the shadow of the rest of y’all. I’m pretty sure there’s like 2 Black lesbians, and like 6 Black sapphics on here (me included) and I have made the observation that y’all don’t really make it apparent to include us in sapphic spaces. We don’t get tagged to participate in games or selfie threads, we don’t get reblogged enough or y’all never reblog pictures of Black lesbians or Black sapphic couples because y’all don’t see us as the beauty standard, we get talked over in group settings, we get ignored when trying to make friends with y’all (I have noticed that white femmes tend to acknowledge me more than white butches tho) and it feels very isolating and ostracizing to see us as an afterthought and I genuinely think that’s why there’s hardly any Black lesbians on here or Black sapphics in general. Cus they don’t feel appreciated, seen or centered on here. Y’all treat us like an extension of y’all that’s not worth paying attention to. But the point is, is that studs and Black femmes have rich, beautiful experiences and we’re not the “Black version” of anything.

sorry but Michaela Coel was ‘fleabagging’ a year before Phoebe Waller Bridge. Chewing Gum was written by and starring Michaela Coel, she breaks the fourth wall and talks candidly (and hilariously) about her inner workings and sexual intimacies. She also began Chewing Gum as a one woman show and then developed it into a show, just like Phoebe Waller Bridge did a year later. The only real difference is that Chewing Gum is set on an estate in London and is predominantly concerned with a Black point of view within a working class community, while Fleabag is about a psychologically unstable middle class white woman. I’m not throwing shade at Fleabag - it’s beautifully executed, beautifully written and beautifully performed. But what I hate is that its style has been received as so ORIGINAL when Michaela Coel had done Chewing Gum already. Phoebe Waller Bridge did an amazing job with that style, BUT SHE DID NOT COIN IT.

It sadly doesn’t surprise me that Fleabag has made Phoebe Waller Bridge almost sacred in the theatre/tv community while Michaela Coel had to write, create, direct and star in ANOTHER masterpiece of a completely different style (I May Destroy You) before she even got into the same arena. That truly is double the work for half the reward.

Chewing Gum’s humour is colourful, loud, quirky and unflinchingly embarrassing. I love it. Also the main character, despite her flaws and many embarrassing encounters, is a truly positive role model for any young girl embarking into their sexual lives - she makes a lot of mistakes but she is earnestly pursuing GOOD SEX (whatever that means😭😭😭). Something I love is how she always completely unabashedly tells her potential sexual partners that she’s a virgin (“Oh no we’re 100% having sex. I just can’t do any tricks” 😍😍). Also, the sex scenes in Chewing Gum are 100000% funnier and more interesting than the sex scenes in Fleabag, because it’s about a completely inexperienced and enthusiastic (and possibly autistic? Not sure but it was a thought I had) 24 year old woman who is determined to lose her virginity - and often completely mistranslates her friends’ well meaning advice about the art of seduction. Give it a watch - it’s now on Netflix. Support Michaela Coel who is a PIONEER of television in the UK, and love to the hugely talented Phoebe Waller Bridge, too. Two women forging the way for young women to write and star in their own shows. But do your homework and don’t let the originators go by the wayside.
