im talking about this here because i need to let this off my chest. but i went into a trade program for lower incomes. and today, without any warning, we were cut off. the entire program was shutdown NATIONWIDE. leaving so many people without some sort of income, or homeless, or forced to return home to abusive households that they were trying to escape. there are so many people who lost so much in ONE DAY. please understand that so many people are now left with nothing. this was a trade program for people who wanted to LEAVE POVERTY AND ENTER FIELDS WHERE THEY HAD A CHANCE!! and today it was STOLEN. and then to add insult to injury. staff members who are going to LOSE THEIR JOBS. are still stuck there for two more weeks while being forced to find something else in such a short notice. no one. and i mean NO ONE. was given a proper fair warning. please dont leave us to be forgotten.

it's so wild to me that you absolutely cannot force a hyperfixation to happen. like you'll watch the most perfectly tailor-made-for-you content that everyone says you'll love and feel absolutely nothing, and then the thing you watch on a whim to fill time will reach through the screen and put its damn fingers in your brain and start rearranging the neurons right in front of you and every single time you're like THIS??? THIS??????? and this happens like every 6-12 months forever

So did anyone pick up on the fact Luthen was teaching Kleya from a young age that the way to be strong was to use her hate; very similar to the way of the sith. He brought her to a place (i think it's Naboo?) and 'gave her a choice' while she is surrounded by happy families of which she has none. She is a young child at this point, unable to fully comprehend the extent of the actions she wants to take, but instead of trying to kindle hope and joy in this scared and lonely child, Luthen uses her drive for better things as personal motivation. Yes, he does ultimately click the button that triggers the explosion, he still forces her to feel that anger, that hate and pain. And then he tells her to let it grow.

I personally think he and kleya are Sith and apprentice—minus the force; After all, it's following darkness rather than light, and these two were stuck on the idea of the empires destruction rather than freedom. They were motivated by destruction not freedom.

Even Kleya is against coming to the rebellion, against joining the greater movement that she and Luthen claimed to support. Eventually though we see her have a moment where she stands there and takes in what she has built, and it almost feels like she has found the light, to me.

Idk this is just what I've been thinking about today

Also don't get me wrong, I LOVE Kleya, I think Luthen is pretty cool, too but not as much

Even though they say 'through victory my chains a broken', are they not still bound the sith code? As a master they are still forced to train only one appresntice; why follow a rule made up by a dead guy who you would have killed anyway? (Rule of two)

And as an apprentice, your life is a constant cycle of being abused and controlled. Just look at Vader, he was groomed since he was 9, and proceeded to lose everyone and everything he cared about over the years. Only for him to become a shell of a man, literally and emotionally; all of this doesn't sound like freedom to me...

FEAR IS THE PATH TO THE DARK SIDE. FEAR LEADS TO ANGER, ANGER LEADS TO HATE, HATE LEADS TO SUFFERING.

Is this not at the core of the Sith code?

I don't have the words to talk about it intelligently right now, but something about the peppy hyperpop music playing over top shots of Brasso's body and Bix grieving and Cassian staring blankly into the camera and Mon dancing manically all throughout is a very good illustration about desensitization to tragedy - people are suffering and dying and the world's going to shit, but hey, a new nostalgic beat just dropped so let's bop until nothing feels real anymore.
