This film is heartbreakingly beautiful, no other way to describe it. Anthony Hopkins has always been one of my favourite actors, this is yet another stellar performance. He received the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role, rightfully so. The Father received a second Oscar, Best Adapted Screenplay for Christopher Hampton and Florian Zeller. Highly recommend this film, one of the best I’ve seen in quite a while.
