Warnings: fluff, smut, minors dni, fingering, oral, riding each other (both females receiving on everything), kissing, breast groping, nipple playing, unprotected sex, orgasms with moans.
WC: 1.37k
Summary: you have a nightmare, so you call emily over to comfort you.
[A/N: this is a scene from a scrapped novel i wrote about two to three years ago, and thought since the scene from it goes perfectly with this scenario, i'd write it. and no, the scrapped story will never be revived and released. it's way too cheesy, and made me cringe so hard my neck started cramping lmaooo]
As you sleep peacefully in your bed, suddenly something bad pops into you mind, not letting you wake up while you dreams of your girlfriend getting pinned down with a knife against her stomach. You can’t seem to get to her as two men are holding him down as you watches the knife poke more into Emily's abdomen, hearing her scream in pain makes it even worse as more sweat soaks your body.
You toss and turn in bed, before a loud strike of thunder echoes outside, jolting you awake as you pant heavily whilst looking around the dark bedroom. Sitting up and taking a breath, you grab your phone on the nightstand beside your bed. You scroll through the contacts on the screen, wondering who you should text or call.
You wanted to call your therapist, but remember that they have a busy day in a couple hours since it was only 5:45 in the morning. You go ahead and click on Emily’s contact, biting your lip. You were hesitant and wondered if you should call her or not. However, you proceed with calling your girlfriend.
Putting the phone up to your ear, you hear the phone rings for a few seconds before someone picks up on the other end.
“Hello?”
"Y/n, why are you calling me at... almost 6 in the morning? Everything alright?” She asks, tiredly.
“I-I had a nightmare. Could you come over and talk to me or do something to distract me, please?”
“Yes, I’ll be there-- but can you come to me?”
“Yeah,”
“Okay,"
“Thank you, Em. Love you”
“You’re Welcome. I love you too,”
You hang up, sliding out of bed and rushing toward your closet to retrieve your robe. You grab your keys and step out the door, and over to Emily's apartment, knocking quietly while the tired young woman waits almost impatiently. The door softly opens as a half asleep Emily stands there, waking up more when she sees you. You saw the corners of her mouth twitch into a smile, welcoming you in. She closes and locks the door as you walks with him to her bedroom, trying not to disturb Ryan, who is currently asleep on the couch.
They walk into Emily's bedroom, as she closes the door behind you, staying in a standing position, smiling at each other. You pretty much forgot about your nightmare when you came face to face with your beautiful girlfriend, removing your robe as you set down on a nearby chair.
“How bad was it?” She questions.
“I had a dream where you were being stabbed by someone as two men were holding me back.”
“I’m so sorry, baby.”
Emily brings you into her embrace and holds you before breaking apart. Tears form at the brim of your eyes as one runs down your cheek. She notices and wipes it away before cupping your face. You stare into her eyes while you both stand in her bedroom. You rest your hand on her bare arm as the two of you finally realize how close you are to one another. You and press your lips against hers, pulling away after a few seconds before pulling your shirt over your head.
Your girlfriend stares down at your bare chest before bringing you towards the bed, making you sit down as she stands above you. She continues pampering your face with kisses. Emily pulls back long enough as she begins a trail of kisses down to your chin, then neck as she stops above your chest, looking up at you as you look down at him.
You smile, showing Emily that you’re comfortable with what she’s doing to your body as she continues, moving her lips further down your body. She stops at your pajama shorts before sliding them down your legs, piling beneath you as you step out of them.
She removes your panties in one swipe as she removes her nightgown and panties, then gently pulls you onto the bed next to her. You lie there, feeling her lips trace your body and inner thighs before glancing at you. Emily positions her between your legs, using her tongue to play with your clit.
You breathe out as she snaps his eyes up, glancing at you. “God, yes.”
Emily nods, burying her face lower as her fingers inter your wet cunt, pumping in and out. Your hand rests on her head, clawing for more. Emily reaches up and gropes your breast, toying with your nipple. You bit your lip feeling yourself get closer.
But Emily stops there, coming up and bringing her lips to yours. You pull back and grab Emily's left leg, swinging it over your hips and push on her right to tell her to straighten it out. You positioned yourself over her and slowly started grinding on her. She gains friction as you do the same, your clits passing along each other. You started moving your hips back and forth harder and faster. You attempted to keep your moans quiet, but yours and Emily's breathing began to speed up.
“Shhh, Ryan …is sleeping in …the next room, so we gotta – gotta keep quiet.”
“That’s… Ah! Hard—”
You grab her breast in your hand, using your thumb and play with her nipple as she moans out in pleasure. In the moment, you nor Emily are able to finish speaking to one another as the feeling inside your body builds with each aching thrust. You feel her fingers lace with yours as she quickens the pace, thrusting even harder as you both try to keep your moans quiet. Eventually your pace match, making her orgasm and soon, you feel yourself come. Your mouth opens as a loud moan fills the room.
You untangle your legs from hers, bringing her lips to yours as she stays there before pulling away. Both of you pant, falling on the mattress beside each other, pulling the duvet up to your chest. Emily helps cover your naked body up before you cuddle up to her as she wraps his arms around you, pulling you closer before pressing her lips to your head. She pecks your temple lightly before starting to feel sleepy.
“God, I love you.”
“I love you too, Emily.”
You smile at each other, with her knowing that you are beginning to feel better after the heated session between the two of you. She leans up and hovers over you, kissing your neck as you giggle.
Suddenly, there’s a knock on the door as you cover your mouth, trying to hide the snickering beneath the covers.
“Y-- Yes?” Emily asks, stammering as he glances towards you.
“What’s going on in there? Why are you making so much noise?” Ryan questions on the opposite side of the door.
“Uh, nothing. Everything’s fine. I– I can’t sleep, that’s all.”
“Okay,”
You look over at your girlfriend as she comes back to kiss you once more before you both fall asleep, cuddled up together.
~~
The next morning arrived and Emily was up and dressed. She walks toward you, kissing you awake as you look up at her. A smile forms while you sit up. Eventually, you slide out of her bed and throw on Emily's clothes from her closet, walking out of her bedroom hand in hand.
"Well, good morning." Ryan said, barely surprised that you're in the apartment. "I see you and your girlfriend has a wild night."
"We didn't do much. Y/n, here, had a bad dream and, uh, n-needed a distraction. So, I, uh, helped her--"
"She let me sleep in her bed, but n-nothing happened between us."
"I'm gonna make breakfast, and you two can figure out what to say then get back to me."
An annoyed sigh escapes your lips as you look at Emily. A smile is prominent on her face while a bright shade of red forms on both yours and her cheeks. You smile back, knowing that Ryan heard you both... feeling kinda proud and slightly embarrassed.

Trapped

Pairing: Cindy Berman x fem!reader
Warnings: swearing, slight smut???
Word Count: 1.1k
Summary: you and cindy get trapped in a neighboring cabin.

You were walking around camp, minding your own business until a girl catches your eyes as her boyfriend glares at you.
"Dyke!" He shouts.
You turn to him and put your middle finger up, causing him to turn in the other direction and leave. You continued to stare before you took a seat on the picnic bench.
"Go fuck yourself, asswipe." You curse under your breath whilst looking down, before seeing a pair of legs standing in front of you. Looking up, you see Cindy above- smiling like always. You hated it.
Ever since Cindy became a goody two shoes and started dating Thomas Slater, you knew she never was the same or liked you back which made you break into a million pieces and so you decided to find something else to do with your time.
But you two never expected to be trapped in a cabin together.
"So, I see you're messing around with Sunnyvalers again. You already got your second strike- do you know what would happen if you left?"
"What am I doing wrong? You're the one who's over here getting in my business." You say getting up from your seat.
Cindy follows you as she starts ranting about you getting in trouble. In that moment, you felt like Ziggy as you make your way into your cabin.
Standing in the middle of the cabin and watching Cindy closing the door behind her, still ranting. The two of you stop bickering as something loud barricades the door from the outside.
"What the hell was that?"
"I-I don't know," Cindy says as she walks over to the door and tries to rattle the knob.
She can't get the door to open as she can feel the heavy weight. She curses under her breath before leaving the door and sitting on your bed, you sit next to her. The two of you sit there awkwardly as the day slowly passes and soon eventually the two of you begin to talk. ~~~ It's been three hours since the two of you got stuck, you sigh while shuffling in your spot then grabbing your book from your bag. Cindy leans against the wall and sighs, trying not to swear out loud but it slips out.
"Dammit. Why isn't Tommy coming to rescue us? Surely, he must know that I'm gone. I'm his girlfriend, he should know."
"Ugh! Here we go again."
"Why are you so ...so mean? Is there something wrong with me and Tommy being together?"
"Yes, everything's wrong." You say. "I don't want to say it because you won't feel the same way- so I'm gonna keep my mouth shut."
The way you said made Cindy kinda mad, she glares at you before expression softens. Cindy stands up, she jumps on top of you and grabs your book from your hands, and drops it to the floor. You cross your arms, pout, and look away before she rests her finger under your chin gently making you look into her eyes. You uncross your arms and rest them on Cindy's waist as she leans in closer.
You freeze. Cindy fucking Berman is straddling you.
"Are you a lesbian, Y/N?" Cindy asks as you look away as tears form in your eyes. She wipes them as you glance at her. She gets off of you and moves away. She decides to look for another way out, trying to get away from this awkward moment.
"Yes," You quietly say.
"Huh? What did you say?" She asks, looking towards you as you begin to sweat.
"Yes, I'm a lesbian, Cindy. I'm sorry for not coming out prior."
"No, no. It's fine, Y/N. I am sorry for not coming to you first. To be honest, I've been hiding my sexuality as well. I've faked my sexuality because no one wants a lesbian goody two shoes gossiping about different people."
"Oh, my god. Cindy."
She shushes you when she hears scattering, she moves over to you as you wonder what's going on. She looks out the window and tries to open it, but nothing happens. She thought she heard Tommy out there but she then has an idea pop into her head.
"Fuck it. Y/N, I'm in love with you. Would you like to be my girlfriend?"
"Oh, Cindy. Yes. Yes! I will be."
"Great."
Cindy brings you into a kiss, her hands roam your body as you kiss her harder. She drags you over to your bed and you two plop down on the mattress, still kissing. She removes your shirt, then kissing again.
She shimmies out of her shorts, then straddles you. You giggle at her before pulling her face toward yours when you hear the door open.
"Holy shit. I'm so sorry." Tommy says.
Cindy and you part ways and get dressed as she fixes her hair, looking towards Tommy as he chuckles. He sees you and Cindy, his eyes go wide.
"I hope you don't mind." Cindy shyly says.
"No, I'm okay with it. Just still in shock."
You and Cindy walk out of the cabin, hand in hand, heading to the mess hall to get some food, not knowing that it's midnight already. You and her sit alone together, she smiles at you then take a bite of her food.
"I'm thankful right now." You say.
"Me too. I'm glad we are together, but also happy that someone saved us. Even though you didn't want it to be Tommy you should be happy about it."
"I am, just still a little embarrassed that he walked in on us almost doing it."
"Yeah, but at least we're not stuck and actually out and safe."
"Same. I can't sleep in my cabin tonight after getting stuck."
"Come sleep with me, you'll be okay."
You two clean up and sneak into her cabin and curl up together then fall asleep on each other. Even though things were awkward and weird today, you both manage to come clean with the truth. You now know who Cindy really is.

Chapter Nineteen
warnings: descriptions of injuries, hospitals, crying, fear, anxiety attacks
Once at the hospital, you had to get surgery since your knee was broken and the bone was sticking straight out, you were stabbed three times by Ruby Lane and two times by glass shards -- one in your hand and in your side, so you were pretty messed up. The doctors put you on strong pain meds so you were comfortable as you regained consciousness, looking around as you began to panic.
"Hey, it's okay. I'm here." A voice spoke.
You glanced over at Cindy, making eye contact with her. "Cindy?"
"You're okay."
"Where am I?"
"The hospital. We did it. We survived."
"Holy shit, we did?"
"Yeah,"
You looked at your body, a brace secured around your knee as multiple bandages seal your stab wounds including your hand. You weakly extended your arm out as Cindy grabbed your hand, limping toward you.
"I love you,"
"I love you too,"
She had a bandage on her chin where the ax had cut her, and had a slight limp from falling but other than that, she was okay. You brought her onto your bed and began sobbing. She joined you, crying into your gown. There wasn't much said, staying in the same spot before Cindy remembered something. She sat up and wiped the tears away, staring at you.
"Your daughter will be here soon. I called your aunt while you were in surgery, and although she wasn't thrilled, she decided on bringing Jennifer here, so you can see her again."
Those words made you feel good, knowing that you'll be able to hold your daughter had tears streaming down your face once again but Cindy helped wipe then away, sitting on your bed and making sure she wasn't crushing your broken leg. You told her you were fine, but deep down were scared the killers -- your brother would come back to haunt you once again. But your racing thoughts stopped when there was a knock on the door, expecting a fist to break through the window and enter to hurt you once again.
However, it was your aunt and your daughter. A smile grew on your face, unaware that Cindy had gotten up and laced her fingers together. You aunt raised a brow, but ignored it and approached you giving you a hug before handing you Jennifer. She had just turned four months a couple days prior, without your knowledge.
You held your baby in your arms as emotions filled your body, talking to her. You hugged her gently and knew that you were home and had a destiny... to protect your daughter with Cindy Berman.
Later, Cindy had a chance to hold Jennifer again as you were asleep. You go back to the few hours earlier, running away from your brother as he chased you. Chasing you so much and being stabbed by ruby made you squirm in your sleep as tears began running down your cheeks. You were scared, fighting back as your body began to hurt. You were stabbed again before dying.
You woke, gasping for air and looking around you whilst grabbing your side, checking for blood when all you feel is a bandage. You began to sweat profusely as Cindy rushed over, kneeling beside you. She held Jennifer in one arm as her other hand grabbed yours, making you look at her. Breathing heavily and groaning, she breathed calmly as you started doing the same, eventually calming down from your nightmare.
"Hey, you're alright. It's okay. I got you. I'm not letting you go anytime soon, especially this little one."
You smile weakly at her, knowing you lived for this and that's what you plan on doing.

Chapter Eighteen
warnings: major character death, mention of blood, performing cpr on someone
Cindy comes to as she slowly sits up, breathing heavily as she looks around. The possessed killers are gone as the bodies of her girlfriend and sister capture her attention. Panicked, she gets on her knees and begins chest compressions on Amelia as Ziggy layed there lifeless, bleeding out the rest of the way... dead.
"Come on, come... on." She huffs. "You...can't...leave...me. You have a daughter. If you won't live for me, live for her. She...needs...her...mother."
Nick ran up to Ziggy as he ignored Cindy and performed compressions on her but there was no use, considering that she died. He curses to himself as he hung his head low. You, however, started breathing although it was faint.
Suddenly you begin coughing and gasping for air before panicking. Blood soaked your white tank top as well as your blue jean shorts. Cindy holds her hands over your wounds, trying to stop the blood from pouring out.
"Z--Ziggy, where is she?" You croak out weakly before looking toward the body next to her.
"She's... She's dead, Bunny." Cindy speaks, tears pouring from her eyes as she gazes into yours, still putting pressure on your stomach as much as she can.
"Cin, thank... thank you for getting me. Not for you, but for my daughter, like you said." Bunny weakly smiles. "I wanna watch my daughter grow. I had already chose you as her godmother."
That made Cindy happy as you began crying but it puts too much pressure on your body, especially since you have asthma. You lay there as sirens wail in the distance, approaching Camp Nightwing.
Your best friend Ziggy -- Christine Berman died, and the love of your life saved you, not only for you, but for your daughter. You laid atop a gourney, going in and out of consciousness as an officer stood beside you as he snaps his fingers. Cindy kept a reassuring hand on your shoulder.
"Hey, what's your name? Look at me. What's your name?"
You gasps, barely keeping eye contact with the male.
"Amelia Slater" She replies in a weak tone.
"Where's Zig... Chris... Where's Christine?" You asked.
The offer stepped to the side as you got the view of your deceased friend lying lifeless on a stretcher as well. A coroner covers her face with a sheet before wheeling her towards a vehicle while you watched on helplessly, wishing she would have gone back and saved her.

Chapter Seventeen
warnings: major character death, descriptions of injuries involving the body, strong language
"There it is! Go, go!" You shouted, arriving at the base of the tree.
"Here?"
"Yes!"
You grabbed the shovel, digging up as much soil as possible. The Berman sisters were beside you and opposite of you, watching the tree line. You kept digging until the blade his something hard in the dirt.
"I hit something!"
Ziggy rushed over, dropping the spade and knelt down, digging further. Looking up, you noticed a boy wearing a mask and swinging a baseball bat, inching toward you and the sisters slowly.
"Uh... Cindy?"
She looked at you, looked at the kid and back at you. "Keep digging."
Finally finding what you hit prior, you pull out a large stone. Dusting the dirt off, trying make out the carved in words.
"The witch forever lives,"
"The witch forever lives," Ziggy repeated, looking at her older sister, panicked. "Cindy, what does it mean?"
"I don't know,"
"Where is she? Where's the body?" You asked.
"I don't know."
You let out a shaky breath, grabbing Ziggy and Cindy's arm, lifting them to their feet. You ordered them to take a nearby car and leave, if there is one. Cindy didn't want to leave your side or her sister's. As soon as you all faced another direction, Tommy was sprinting forward with his ax in hand. The three of you screamed, backing against one another and almost completely frigid from fear.
Billy Barker continued hitting his bat on the ground, Harry Rooker stalked closer with his knife, Ruby Lane was flipping her straight razor and Tommy who had his ax ready.
"What do you want, Sarah Fier? You wanted this? You can have it! Just let my girlfriend live! Just let my girlfriend live!" She pleaded as tears filled her eyes.
The shouting didn't seem to work and Cindy dropped it, defeated as she continued holding onto your hand. Looking into your eyes, her eyes were saddened but serious.
"You bled on the bone. They are after you. Get ready to run."
"No, you get ready to run." You stated as Cindy picked up the large shovel. "What the fuck are you doing, Cindy?"
"Saving you."
With a warning, the killers surrounded them as Cindy rushed toward Tommy, aiming the shovel towards his head. You screamed as everything felt like it was in slow motion. Tommy gained the upper hand and knocked Cindy out cold with the back of the ax as a thought came to you. The killers go after the one who bled on the bone you guessed, coming up with a plan.
Grabbing the spade shovel, you use it to stab your brother in the chest as he goes down once more but comes back a few seconds later. Not paying attention, Ruby tackles you to the ground straddling her before plunging the straight razor into the left side of your chest as Ziggy gets attacked by Harry Rooker, and stabbed.
Ziggy was on one side, Cindy in the middle and you on the other. You took another glance at the night sky, seeing it's filled with twinkling stars as dark clouds gathered. Billy Barker brings his bat down on your leg, snapping the bone as it breaks through your skin. It makes you groan and scream.
The pain gets worse when the blade hits you again then again, and finally once more time before she begins choking and spitting up blood. It runs down the corner of her mouth as your head falls slightly to the side.
Thunder rumbles above. A tear stream across your nose before it meets with your blood, running down her other cheek.

Chapter Sixteen
warnings: character death, strong language, and mention of self harm
Alice had a serious expression plastered on her face.
"I watched my dad go to jail when I was six. I watched my mom steal... so I could eat."
She scoffed. "First time I cut myself I was twelve. It was after... Well, you know when."
Cindy's eyes were glossy, knowing that she looked more guilty than you've ever seen her.
"And now tonight," Alce started again. "I watched your perfect boyfriend and your brother turn into a monster and killed the only person I've ever loved. I've waited...my whole fucking life for this. And now I've found it. Let me see this through. For Arnie...for Tommy...for Shadyside."
It took Cindy a few seconds, but she began nodding. "For Shadyside."
You looked at them with a soft expression, a small smile forming on your face. "For Shadyside."
You then looked toward Ziggy, who nodded with a smirk. "For Shadyside"
You and the other females exchange smiles once more before turning back to Alice, but your face drops. Tommy appears behind her, lifting his ax. You and Cindy shout Alice's name, but it was too late. When Alice look behind her, the ax came down and slid across her chest, making the pixie-cut haired female fall to the ground.
Even though you weren't close to Alice, it furiated you when Tommy murdered her. With a wave of anger, you rushed forward with your shovel, hitting your brother across his face with it. He dropped the ax as you sweeped it off the floor, dropping the shovel. Tommy leaned against the wall as you lifted the ax with a groan, using all her strength.
"Why won't you fucking die!" You screamed, sobbing.
Even though that was your brother, you wanted him die so there was no more pain and death in her life. When the shovel penetrated his neck, the blade went all the way through. His head was cut clean off as his head rolled towards the floor including his body. Black blood began pooling around your deceased, monstrous brother.
Looking back, you calmed her panicked heart down and taking in the air from her inhaler once more. You slide it in your pocket and glance over at Cindy, who was on her knees as Alice was bleeding out.
"No! Alice? Alice?"
Tears slipped down Cindy's cheeks as Bunny sank to her knees beside the older berman sibling. Cindy, however, held a firm grip on Alice's shoulders, not wanting to let go.
"Alice, just... Just stay with with me. Alice."
Alice's breathing had stopped, leaving you and Ziggy in silence as Cindy sobbed, leaning her head into the crook of your neck. You hugged her back, glancing down at Alice's dead body. You listened to Cindy's pained crying, but it was quickly covered up by singing coming from the grate below.
You always hurt the ones you loved
You looked up, meeting Ziggy's also concerned face.
"What is that?" Ziggy whispered.
"Ruby Lane," You responded quietly.
Without hesitation, the three of you rose from the wooden planks facing you as you told the Berman sisters to stay in the mess hall. But they didn't listen as Ziggy followed after her including Cindy, making you panic as the singing echoed through the silent room.
There was crunching of bones right when a hand appeared on the floor in the kitchen, exiting the open grate. A face appeared, it belonged to Ruby Lane. A shadyside killer whose incident happened in 1965.
"Run. Run!" Cindy shouted at you and Ziggy.
The three of you began running, Ziggy stepped back to grab the large shovel, but Tommy's hand snapped at her ankle. Cindy held out her arm and she caught it, pulling her out of his grasp.
The three of you continued running out of the mess hall and towards the hanging tree.

Chapter Fifthteen
warnings: not really just mentions of a deceased/lifeless body and mild swearing.
Alice hobbles toward one of the picnic tables before sitting down. Cindy laces her fingers with yours as you and her sit together, Ziggy joins opposite of you. Alice opens the shoulder bag and pulls out a skeleton hand.
You along with the three other females all exchange nervous glances.
"What? What is it?" Ziggy asks.
Alice inhaled, glancing at her. "It's Sarah Fier's lost hand."
"Nurse Lane..." Cindy started at the bone, swallowing hard. "She spent her entire life looking for this. A way to stop the curse that took her daughter."
You lightly squeezed Cindy's hand under the table and looked at her. Looking back, Ziggy was grinning brightly as you both shook your heads at her.
"'Without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm.'" Alice says, sliding the book over to Ziggy for her to read, trying to catch her up. "The curse will last until body and hand unite."
"That led us to the bone. And so... if the legend is true, that means her body's still buried--"
"By the hanging tree," You finished, looking at Alice.
"We can end this." Cindy spoke. "No more murders, no more curse, no more..."
Cindy's gaze wandered to Tommy's lifeless body on the tile floor of the kitchen.
"...pain."
You all exchanged quiet glances at each other, Cindy held your hand tighter, holding your gaze. "We can save Shadyside... Tonight."
You let go of Cindy's hand as you drag the hand bone across the table, toward you. You began to examine it, not noticing your nose beginning to bleed. Without realizing it, your blood drips from your nose and on to the bone, zoning out for a few seconds as you see the witch -- Sarah Fier -- angry and shouting. Cindy reaches her hand out, resting it on yours as you jump back with a sharp intake of breath. Concern takes over Cindy's face.
"My nose..." You breathed. "I bled on the hand and... I think I saw her."
"Who?"
"Sarah Fier,"
Again, you all exchanged glances at one another, panicking slightly.
"She was..." Continuing your explanation. "She was angry."
"We have to bury this thing.. right fucking now."
Cindy nodded before rising and running into the room over. Coming back, she passed you a shovel, Ziggy a smaller spade, holding a shovel herself.
"Okay, let's go."
Alice looked at Cindy, almost squinting her eyes. "What I have to use my hands?"
"No, you're staying her."
"Come on, I can hop just fine." Alice chuckled, showing off the few hops she takes.
She turned back to face the three other females, standing in front of the open doorway. Now Alice had a serious expression. You were worried about her, but knew it was best for her to stay here since you needed to bury the bone with the body to end the curse...
...For Shadyside.

Chapter Fourteen
warnings: strong language throughout, graphic horror violence, descriptions of bodily injury, fear, fights, trouble breathing, confessing one's love, kissing
The only thing in the room with you besides shelves of supplies was an overhead light. It dimly lit the room as you believed it'll be a problem. Reaching for the string, a loud bang causes you to slink into the corner. The ax breaks open the wooden planks that made a barricade. Tommy pretty much broke his way in before his dingy and bloody hand grabs the knob and enters.
The music continues to blast loudly even in the room over. Tommy goes deeper into the storage room as you quietly slips out from the claustrophobia-inducing cabinet with the large blade in your hand. Behind your brother, you continue stepping cautiously as you inches closer to him. You raise the large knife and begin to take another step when the music shuts off, the wooden planks creak beneath her foot.
Tommy whips his head around, but you manage to stab him in the chest before getting smacked and tossed into the shelf beside her. Falling towards the floor, Tommy pulls the knife out from his chest and tosses it before groping your neck, slamming your frail body against the shelf. You shrieks multiple times, most of it being in unbearable pain, oblivious of Cindy calling out your name.
His hands are wrapped around your neck as you struggles beneath him, choking from the impact as pain seeps through her torso. Having asthma wasn't the best thing to have during your fight with a serial killer. Coming back, you begin grabbing his wrists, barely having any time to think as you begin reaching around you. You manage to use your foot and push him back as you use your hands to push away Tommy's face away. Your hands slink behind you and onto the shelf and grab a brown potato sack.
You slam the bag over his face. His grip he has around your neck loosens, stumbling way. Keeping a tight hold on the sack, Bunny gasps for air as she makes him fall to his knees. He russells around, almost making you hit the wall. Standing your ground, you regain your footing, gripping the bag harder as your brother struggles beneath her grip. You manage to overpower him for the time being.
He grunts and groans with each tug. Tears pour from your eyes before he gains the upper hand, head-butting you in the face. The impact causes you to stumble back and eventually fall toward the ground. In a vulnerable position, you watch as your brother grabs the ax, scraping it on the floor. He rises, turning towards her slowly as the bag outlines his features. With the potato sack over his head, it covers the blood and dirt but makes your brother more terrifying as he holds the ax in front of him, keeping a promising grip on the handle. You crawl away for the second time tonight, trying to avoid the blows with each swing.
Managing to get on your feet, you sprint into the kitchen before his leg trips you, knocking you off your feet. The impact causes her to hit the floor hard. You squint your eyes as the pain takes over you, however, more intense than before. Struggling to push yourself away even further, pleading for Tommy to stop as he lifts his ax before stopping mid-way. You watch in utter horror. Behind him, a knife stabs him as he turns around. Ziggy rushes in, kneeling down and watches the commotion whilst helping you to a sitting position.
"Fuck..."
Another stab.
"...You."
Gasping for air, you watch as your brother's body hits the floor before looking up at the person who stabbed him, panting. You see who it is. Cindy Berman. Tears begin to pour from your eyes.
"You swore," Ziggy says.
"It's becoming a habit."
Ziggy chuckles as Cindy drops the knife and kneels down, bringing her younger sister into a hug. They sob into each other's shoulders before they pull away after a few seconds, smiling as she looks over at you. You stare into Cindy's big blue eyes and hold her gaze for a few seconds before she brings you into her embrace. The feeling of being in Cindy's arms made you feel safe as tears pour from your eyes, tightening your arms around her waist.
"You smell like shit," You comment
"Yeah, well, that's because I'm covered in it."
Sitting in front of Cindy with Ziggy beside you, you all look down at Cindy's polo.
"Do you think it'll wash out?" She asks.
"I think you might need to buy a new polo." Ziggy says, fixing the collar.
They chuckle before things get serious.
"I'm so sorry, Ziggy. I'm-- I'm sorry I wasn't here, not just tonight, but everyday."
"No, you were. You just--"
"No, no. I haven't been here. I know that now."
Tears begin to form in you, Ziggy and Cindy's eyes as you sit there and listen to the sister's conversation.
"I know that you just needed me to listen, to hear you. I thought if I just put my head down and followed the rules, everything would be fine." She continued. "That I'd get out of shadyside, but... but now I know you were right. Everything is cursed."
"I could have been nicer. I could have been less of a... of a monster."
"Yeah, well... you were my monster. And at the end of the day, Mom, Dad... Shadyside, Sunnyvale, I.."
She cups Ziggy's face. "I won't let anything pull us apart."
After the tearful reunion, Cindy's eyes dart toward the bandage on your side and hand, examining them both and looking you in the eyes then at Ziggy. You pulls your hand away, not wanting to explain what happened, but you do anyway.
"I got a shard of glass in my hand, pulled it out and bandaged it so I would bleed out. And in the Nature and Science cabin, Tommy dragged me across the table and threw me to the floor where again, I got stabbed by another shard. The piece of glass is somewhere in the camp."
"Jesus. Thank God, you're okay."
"Me too,"
Distant banging caused the three of you to turn your heads toward the open grate. You furrow your brows as Cindy gives you and Ziggy a look before sneaking towards the grate and peering over it. Alice appears as Cindy and you help her out, rising to your feet. Alice looks toward you, motioning you to tell Cindy how you feel.
You decided on confessing your feelings to Cindy, being sincere incase you and her die tonight. If you don't make it, at least you were able to tell her that you love her and pray your daughter is alright.
"Cindy,"
The female looks over. "Hmm?"
"There's, uh, there's something I've been needing to tell you. Well, something I've been holding back since our junior year of high school."
"What is it?" She asks.
"Remember when you started dating my brother, beginning of senior year?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Well, he talked about you all the time. Times where it would get frustrating, but I enjoyed listening because I... I developed a crush on you. And I know, I had that fling with Nick Goode and that resulted in me getting pregnant. But when you spent the night with me at the hospital, after I gave birth and helped me with Jennifer, I realized something... I was in love--"
Without hesitation, Cindy cups your face before bringing your lips to hers. You stay there for a few seconds before pulling apart, holding each other's gaze. You and Cindy felt as if you were the only two people in the room at the moment, but it subsides.
"I've felt the same way. Taking care of Jennifer made me want to be with you forever, to help raise her. You're the person I've loved for many years as well. I'm done hiding my true feelings. Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes, Cindy. Yes!"
You wrap your arms around her neck, pecking her lips once again as Cindy wraps her arms around your waist gently before Alice clears her throat, slightly annoyed.
"I hate to break up this sweet moment between the two of you, but there's other things we should be worried about."
Cindy pulls away from you before bringing Alice in a hug as well.
"Careful, okay?"
Cindy pulls back, furrowing her brows at the blonde.
"This thing's like a million years old."
"I bought that a month ago."
"I'm not talking about your stupid bag, genius. 'Blood will.' Satan's stone, okay? It was right there. All this time, buried under the moss, and I found it. I fucking found it."
"Found what?" Cindy asks, her brows furrowed.

Chapter Thirteen
warnings: graphic horror violence, fear, blood, descriptions of bodily injury
You and Ziggy continue sprinting out of the cabin and down the few steps with Tommy hot on your trail. After a few more steps from sprinting, the girls manae to get away long enough and to take a panicked breather.
"Kurt! Will! Anybody!" They shout.
Stopping in their tracks, you look down at your blood soaked clothes as Ziggy does the same. "You need help."
"No, shit. Wait. Mary's cabin."
"We won't make it, it's too far away. And, Tommy could be anywhere right now, so we need to just find Cindy and leave."
You glance toward the entrance of the camp, pointing toward the escaping bus. You both watch as the large vehicle exits under the Camp Nightwing sign. You're only chance of surviving left. You thought you may be able to get Ziggy to leave and you stay behind to wait to rescue Cindy and make peace with your possessed brother. But with a large figure barreling towards you, you suddenly change your mind.
Tears well up in your eyes, breathing heavily as her hand clutches her open wound. You and Ziggy's breathing is almost lined up on how panicked you both are.
You pull out your inhaler, puffing the air back into your lungs before running towards the mess hall with the red-head. Piling in, Ziggy stands there, you close the large door behind you both, rushing toward the loudspeaker. You begin playing back the song from earlier as you look Ziggy in the eyes. The music will be loud enough so Tommy doesn't hear where you are at or hiding.
Carry on my Wayward Son There'll be peace when you are done...
"Hide. I'll handle this. He's my brother."
"No, Bunny, no. You can't. You're already injured and losing enough blood."
"Ziggy, please. Go. Hide. Now!"
Leaving you alone, you think long and hard before running into the kitchen and opening the drawer of knives from this afternoon. She pulls out a large kitchen knife, eyeing her reflection in the blade before stepping into the closet, shutting the door behind her. In the moment, you search for anything to tie up your gaping wound when a first aid kit catches your attention.
Stepping towards it, you keep yourself aware of your surroundings as you pull the kit down. You open it to find gauze and tape. You pack your wound and tape it off before sliding the first aid kit somewhere else before grabbing the knife, holding it close to you. Also, you were unaware of Cindy below the grate in the kitchen, trying to escape the cave. She hides in a crevice of large space, waiting as her breathing is hitched and tears prick at her eyes.
Please don't let me die... You think to yourself.

Chapter Twelve
warnings: depictions of injuries, graphic horror violence, strong language throughout
"No! Ev-everyone's headed back to the Mess Hall. I just... Where's Nick?"
Ziggy pauses, trying to find the words when muffled screaming causes her to look at you then at Gary as his brows furrow. The muffled shouting continues as Ziggy steps into one of the stalls, opening the lid and peering down. Behind her, you and Gary watch as the shouting gets louder.
"Cindy?" Ziggy asks, surprised.
A spark of happiness shoots through your body as you too, enter the stall, gently pushing the other female to the side so you can see what's happening.
"Oh, my God! You're still alive!" Cindy shouts.
"Yes, I am. I'm so relieved to see your face again. Is there another way out?"
"You're poking your head through our way out." Alice commented.
Ziggy comes back. "What are you doing down there?"
Cindy and Alice glance at each other before peering back at Ziggy and Bunny.
"It's... It's kinda of a long story. Are you guys okay?"
"Yeah, just hold on a second."
Ziggy rises to her feet as you stays in her spot, smiling at the dirty brunette wishing she could give Cindy a hug... and a kiss, but that clears out when Ziggy tells her to move. Ziggy can step on the toilet as she reaches the bucket, lowering it to you.
"What is going on?" Gary asks.
"My sister's in the toilet."
"What?"
"Gary, just help us!" You shout.
The three of you manage to get the bucket down as Ziggy lowers the rope, further and further down the chute as the bucket sits level with the two females. Gary stands behind you as you and him hold the rope, soon Ziggy joins. In the cavern, Alice sits on the metal bucket as they begin pulling the rope. With enthusiastic laughs and pained grunting as well as tugs, the rope creaks under them right when the door abruptly swings wide open.
Standing there, Tommy enters the outhouse with a large ax in hand before swinging the tool towards Gary, decapitating him in the process. It automatically drag him along since the rope was being tied around his upper arm. You and Ziggy didn't have time to reach as you both watch as the rest of Gary's bloody and headless body flies past, and down the toilet.
Since the swing was strong, it makes both Ziggy and you fall to the ground as Tommy draws the ax before bringing it down. The blade lands between the two females as screams fill the outhouse.
Ziggy gets up, pulling you along with her, exiting the small cabin as Tommy stands in the doorway. Below, Cindy consiynuously shouts for you and her sister, worried Tommy killed you.
You keep up with Ziggy as she lets go of your hand, both gasping when they run into Nick again as he asks them what they are doing.
"He's here,"
In the process, Ziggy can't muster the right words before Nick pushes you and the red head toward the nature and science cabin. The Sunnyvaler closes the door behind you, locking it as Ziggy slides to floor. You join her before Nick approaches the two of you as he makes eye contact with the two females.
"Did we lose him?" You ask.
"I think so. Are you guys okay? You hurt?" He asks.
You and Nick look down at Ziggy's top then yours. "It's not our blood."
"It's Gary's." You add. "And yours?"
"Um... Sean, Jesse, Rod, Stacey."
"Jesus. It's the curse."
Nick then cups Ziggy's face as you felt no emotion towards the act since she was in love with Cindy. although, you had history with Nick Goode and didn't know how to initially react, considering you were very much in love with him at the beginning of your pregnancy. In the moment, you had this time to calm down and think.
You think about Caroline... Cindy... and your daughter. Mostly your daughter because you didn't want her to be raised by your bitchy aunt. You sigh as tears begin to form in your eyes, wanting to hug your precious baby and getting the hell out of here.
You come back to reality when you feel Ziggy's hand rest on your bare thigh. "Are you okay?"
"Y- Yeah,"
Nick continues. "It's, uh, it's just some psycho."
"No, no, it's not some psycho. It's my brother Tommy. Ziggy's sister's boyfriend perfect, virgin, boring boyfriend. She did this."
"Cindy?"
"The witch!"
"That's not real, Amelia."
"That's exactly what a Sunnyvaler would say. I thought you were different." Ziggy commented.
"I know I've let a lot of people die tonight."
"Nick, this isn't your fault."
"Not you! I'm not letting either of you die." Nick sweet talks Ziggy, earning her trust. "Now, come on, we gotta get out of here. We'll call the cops. Your sister's gonna be alright. First, we gotta get on that bus.
You rise to your knees, peeking over the table with Nick and Ziggy when a sudden frantic banging erupts on the door. They continue watching the entrance when suddenly a fist -- Tommy's fist -- breaks through the glass window before his hand rests on the door knob, turning it before entering.
With a slight creak of the door, the three of you duck down as they stay very quiet, swiftly moving beneath the tables, trying to stay out of your brother's sight. Heavy breathing gets closer and a snake hisses in its habitat. You sneak behind a table that is further away right when glass breaks from the impact of the ax, causing you to shut your eyes tight.
You were seated beside Ziggy, glancing over at a yellow-brown snake begins skulking towards you as your eyes grow wide, panicked but stay calm. You gently grab her knee to gain her attention of the snake slithering towards you all. With footsteps approaching and a snake slithering on the girls' bare legs, the air around them was tense and quiet.
They exchange eyes contact with one another before a hand grips you hair, pulling you up as you scream. Tommy slams her body on the table, dragging her across causing many habitats and papers scatter to the floor.
"T-Tommy, it's--it's me. Please," You beg as he lets you go, making you fall off a table as you groan in pain before looking down.
Another glass shard has impaled your stomach, sticking out as you squirm from the pain. Tears form in your eyes before gaining the strength to get away alive, pulling the large shard out. You crawls away as your brother raises the ax before bringing it down as Nick pushes you further away, ax penetrating the back of his leg. Grunting in pain, he shouts for Bunny and Ziggy to leave.
"Run. Aaah! Run!" He shouts.
And that's what they do, exiting the Nature and Science cabin and leave as you hold your side and grabbing Ziggy's hand. Bleeding out, you continue.

Chapter Eleven
warnings: strong language throughout, graphic horror violence, fights, depictions of injuries involving glass shards
Getting back to camp, the sun has already went behind the mountains as bulbs of light shine in the distance, but are hard to see due to the large pine trees. You stop in your tracks and bring your hand in front of you. A shard of glass sticks out in your palm as you stumble toward Mary's cabin, you stumble in and begin pulling the shard from your hand.
Your body shakes while you released a pained scream, depositing the shard on a nearby table before heaving. With crimson exuding from your palm and a wave of fatigue hitting you as well, you manage to pull yourself together and wrap the wound before wiping the sweat and tears away. Walking towards the door, you close it behind you, continuing your search for Ziggy and Caroline. Color War was also afloat, so you had an even bigger problem considering there were even more targets. Quickly inhaling from your inhaler, you run anywhere so you are not trapped in one place.
Feeling a brush of someone's hand, you look back and startle seeing Caroline. You manage to calm yourself down, straightening your stance, breathing heavily.
"Jesus, you scared the shit out of me."
"I'm sorry," Caroline giggles. "Where have you been? I've looking all over for you."
"I was in Mary's cabin with Cindy and my brother, searching for anything that made the nurse "crazy". Then, Alice and Arnie took off with the pills and we found a cave after someone else was down there. And Tommy... he had no remorse, bludgeoning Arnie in the face, leaving a gruesome scene. Finally, I got seperated from Cindy and Alice due to a cave-in."
"Holy shit, that's a little..."
"Crazy? Yeah, but it happened, and there is a killer after us. It's Tommy. My brother"
A laugh escapes from Caroline. "Come on, that's bullshit. You keep planning that gore-filled book of yours, and I will get back to supervising the Color War. And, please don't waste anymore of my time."
Caroline takes off, leaving you alone, trying to calm yourself down before running off. Suddenly a scream catches you off guard, following the noise as giggles follow. You approach the outhouse, watching as Nick and Ziggy spirit towards another cabin; The Nature and Science cabin, following after them.
Approaching a door, you go to open it but since the wood is locked in place, you stay standing on the steps as you looks through the window. You watch as Nick Goode and Ziggy Berman stand in front of each other, their faces inching closer. Soon enough, you see Nick planting his lips on Ziggy's right when a scream echoes in the distance.
The scream breaks your attention as you stalk down the stairs. Exiting, Nick and Ziggy rush toward the noise as they run into you. You all greet each other before quickly running towards the scene. A boy lays still. His arm lays off to the side as a pool of blood lingers beside the body. In the puddle of crimson, a pair of glasses sit untouched. With frantic shouts and a small crowd forming, Gary manages to hold the other campers back while Ziggy, you and Nick get a good look at the crime scene.
Panic ensues on the red-head's face. The three teens run off, almost scared. You, Nick and Gary round the campers up as they get pushed into the mess hall.
"Five... seven... eight... ten... fifthteen... eighteen-" You count.
You get cut off as the light shut off. Many kids scream in fear. Ziggy looks around, panicked as Nick stands toward the main double doors.
"Stay calm! Everything's alright."
"How many?" Gary asked.
"Twenty-three." You replied, attempting to stay calm.
"That's thirty missing at least."
Nick rushes toward the telephone that hands on the wall. Below a table sits with a radio and microphone. The rock has obviously fallen off the button as everything remains untouched. Nick pulls the phone of the receiver, putting it up to his ear.
"Where's Cindy, Kurt, Joan?"
"I don't know. I haven't seen them."
For a few seconds, you had hope that Nick would call someone only to find out that the phone is dead. Ziggy panics about warning people and begins talking about her sister as Nick tries to reassure her. You watch only standing a few inches away from the two.
"Ziggy, Amelia, stay here. Me and Gary will go."
"What?" Gary asks, scared.
Nick then steps up to the table, Gary following behind him. The Sunnyvaler picks up two flashlights, handing one to the other counselor before exiting the cabin as Ziggy then gets taunted by Sheila's minions.
"Where is she, witch?" Becky asks.
"You kill her like you killed Jeremy?" Annie interrogates.
"What are you talking about?"
"Sheila!"
"Where the fuck is Sheila?"
Ziggy curses before sprinting out the mess hall as the doors close behind the female. You decide to follow after her, shutting the door you, and take off. You catch up to her as you stops the red-head.
"Ziggy, stop!" You shout.
"I can't. We need to go find Sheila. Me and Nick locked her in the outhouse for taunting me."
You giggle before becoming serious again, concerned about yours and Ziggy's safety. "What? Ziggy, that could be another strike for you."
"No one's gonna give me a strike when a fucking killer is running around."
Ziggy grabs your hand, dragging you toward the outhouse which is locked due to a screwdriver sitting in the lock. A twig snaps, causing the anxiety to rise even more. You both enter as you shut the door behind the two of you, stepping around various types of bugs including a tarantula. The sight of it makes your skin crawl, like it's on you. Unexpectedly, Sheila emerges from a stall and behind Ziggy.
"You bitch!" She shouts, lunging toward the other female.
They struggle for a while before Sheila throws Ziggy against the wall. Ziggy tries to help Sheila by explaining that there's a killer when the Sunnyvaler throws a punch, as the red-head ducks. You throw your fist as it collides with Sheila's face, knocking her out cold as she falls into one of the nearby stalls. You curses under her breath from the pain in your knuckles.
Gary emerges, starting the two females as Ziggy gasps.
"Is everyone okay?" He asks.

Chapter Ten
warnings: strong language, graphic horror violence, descriptions of injuries, fear and anxiety
You observe as the tall male lifted the ax off the wall and swung it into Arnie’s face. You were frozen in your tracks. But Tommy didn’t stop, he sent another blow to Arnie’s already deceased body. You witnessed the horror as your brother turned into a monster.
Eventually, he turned towards Cindy, you and Alice as you shines your flashlight on him. Her hand shook before he started trudging toward the three of you. You screamed before being pushed back by Cindy, rushing into the room they were in prior — through the archway and past the sacrifice room.
You managed to get past Tommy and survey as Cindy and Alice try to flee for their lives.
“There!” Cindy shouted.
You soon heard a loud rumble as an avalanche of rocks fall from above. The cavern shook with all its might, causing her to panic. Once when the large rocks settle in place, she hears heavy breathing as she steps closer to the male. He rises and stands in front of you, raising his ax high before plunging it down. Luckily you managed to escape, but panicked. You scream in fear.
You hold the flashlight trying to turn it on when it slips from your grip, breaking on the steps below you. You curse under your breath, feeling overwhelmed.
He had no emotion toward his upset sister as you began to shake, pulling herself up the stone-like steps. Your hand hits the broken shard, stabbing into your delicate skin as the pain settles. You are in unbearable pain, but push past it. Running past the tables full of previously lit candles and 16th century decorations, you exit the cavern and sprint through the woods, and hide in a bush and a large pine tree. In the distance, a male is seen approaching the woods as the glimmer of a large ax sits in his hands. From what you can see, Tommy's expression is emotionless, almost like there wasn't anything left.
Tears welled up in your eyes, knowing that Cindy was likely dead and Ziggy was running around camp unaware that a killer is on the loose. Once Tommy is nowhere to be seen, you carefully go back to the place you were earlier, over to the caved-in rocks as you look back, grabbing something to protect yourself.
You turn back to the large rocks, sighing and praying that you can interact with Cindy somehow. You had little hope, tears now rolling down your cheeks.
"C-Cindy, are you there? Can you hear me?" You ask, waiting for a response.
No one returns your call as you speak once again, this time louder. Beginning to turn away, you faintly hear Cindy's voice. It's panicked but stern, almost delicate too. She speaks but it's too muffled to understand what she's saying.
"Cindy, Alice, if you guys can hear me, I'll save you. I promise. I can't lose you. Please, stay alive as long as you can. I— I— nevermind. I'll be back!"
From what you could make out was sobbing from the other side, getting a positive thought that Cindy and Alice are still alive. You let go of the relic in your hand and carefully makes your way back to Camp Nightwing, panicked as she needs to find Ziggy and Caroline and get them to safety.
"Just my fucking luck. A fucking killer is on the loose, and it's my own fucking brother."

Chapter Nine
warnings: strong swearing
You and the couple made way through the dense woods that surrounded Camp Nightwing. You held a flashlight in front of you, following behind was Cindy and Tommy.
“Alice!” Cindy shouted. “Come on, it’s disgusting in here!”
“We’re close, Berman, hang in there!”
They kept onward, being determined to get their things back from Alice — more like Cindy was determined while you were there because you wanted to get away from the camp in case Nick Goode tried interrogating her on their baby, but mostly to be around Cindy.
“Alice!” Cindy shouted again before a thine caught on her polo, ripping the material.
“Shit! Oh, it’s ruined now!”
You helped Cindy get free from the thorn as you felt her warm breath on your neck and began blushing, heating up.
“You cursed again,” Tommy stated, almost shocked.
“You want me to murder you?”
Tommy shut his eyes, holding a hand to his forehead.
“Tommy, are you okay?” You asked, worried.
“Yeah,” He replied. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
Pushing You forward, you pointed the flashlight in that direction and moved further into the woods. Suddenly, they all hear Alice scream. Cindy turned, grabbing your wrist harshly without realizing, and dragging you along. The three of you make it to Alice who is climbing out of the newly dug grave, dusting dried dirt off her knees.
“Watch your step.” Alice said, wincing at the bright torch.
Tommy and Cindy stepped toward the hole, looking over it. You saw the book laying next to it.
“Is someone digging a grave?” Tommy asked.
“Graves,” Alice pluralized, shining the flashlight on a bunch of other holes.
They all look at Tommy as he mumbled. “Mary.”
Alice squinted at him, confused. You watched her brother stumble towards the book, picking it up.
“The X’s, look.” He showed them the map, again, pointing at the markings. “She was marking where she dug.”
Alice thought for a few seconds before turning the page to some writing.
“‘But without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm and the curse will last until body and hand unite.' ”
Chills were forming down your neck and back as you felt a hand intertwine with yours. It was slow, but it felt good. Cindy swallowed, leaning her head on your shoulder.
“Are you tired?” You ask in a low tone.
Nodding, Cindy stood closer as your heart fluttered as you brought your inhaler out, taking in a few breaths before stuffing the piece of plastic in her pocket.
“Maybe Mary was looking for the hand,” Tommy said, coming to the conclusion in his head. “To end the curse?”
“That made her daughter lose her mind.” Alice finished, nodding.
“Guys, come on. This is silly.”
“Yeah,” Arnie spoke. “I gotta piss.”
They all grimaced except for Alice.
“I really did not need to know that.” You murmured.
“Let me see that,”
Tommy began to pass the book over to Alice but Cindy let go of your hand quickly once again, stepping toward them and grabbing it swiftly.
“You can have it, but first give me the drugs,” Cindy demanded. “If nurse Lane took them and went crazy then those drugs are very dangerous.”
Alice laughed. “Oh, my God. What happened to you?”
She stepped closer to Cindy, a centimeter of space was between their faces. You felt something rise in your chest, once again not knowing if its anger or jealousy like earlier.
“You remember when we used to have fun?” She asked.
“Alice, that’s enough.” Cindy demanded once again.
Soon Arnie comes back. “I found it!”
The three teens, including you, all look up from their respective places, all walking toward the male to see what he found. “I found the witch’s house.”
Alice and Arnie rushed over, laughing whilst you and Cindy and Tommy walked slower. Again, you had the flashlight in your hand, unsure of what was found. It seemed to be one side of what the house that used to be here in the 1600's as Cindy stood beside you.
“Was I the only one expecting, like, I dunno, a house made out of candy?” Alice laughed.
“Maybe there’s candy down there,” Arnie said, glancing down another entrance,
This one was different, it seemed to go underground. The couple began playing around, scaring each other which made you glance at Tommy and Cindy. Nearly falling into another dug grave, you make a pass standing behind Arnie and Alice. Speaking of Alice, she was crouched in front of the entrance.
“Hey, Sarah, you got any candy down there? We’re high and hungry.”
She paused.
“Sarah Fier!”
“Okay, we've seen enough.”
“Alright then, go home, Berman.”
Looking over at her brother, he seemed to be going in and out of consciousness as it made you frown.
“Tommy, you okay?”
“Yeah, she must’ve gotten me pretty good.”
You sent an uneasy smile towards Tommy, turning back to Alice and Arnie, who jumped down the hole, making their way inside. Cindy followed behind as well as Tommy and you. You made her way down the steps and into the dark and dingy cave.
“Hey, someone’s been down here!” Alice shouted, looking at the nib of the candle.
“Like recently.”
You began to sweat from the nerves of being down there, staying on the steps as the three teens investigated further in the cave, eventually it brought her down there too.
Walking through an archway, you saw what looked like a sacrifice room. On the floor was the witch’s mark, remembering it from earlier in Mary’s book. What looked like black fluid flowing through the engraving, making you wrinkle your nose. Alice and Arnie began messing around on one end of the cave. You continue holding the flashlight as it’s now been turned off.
“It’s kinky.”
“It’s the witch’s mark,” Cindy announces,
Alice leaned away from her boyfriend, turning to Cindy with a confused look.
“The what?” She asked.
Cindy opened the book, showing a replica of the engraving on the floor.
“‘A deal was made with the devil. Sarah Fier cut off her wicked hand on Satan’s stone in exchange for eternal life, scarring the soil beneath with the witch’s mark, bringing darkness upon the land.’ ”
“That’s it!” Arnie shouted.
Everyone looked at him in utter confusion.
“It’s acetaminophen.”
“Arnie, what are you talking about?”
“L484. It just hit me. It’s fucking Tylenol. It’s nothing.”
“Are you sure?”
You began to come to the conclusion that it wasn’t drugs that made Mary act the way she did and that made you worry, if Sarah Fier is causing her brother fatigue and pain.
“Positive. Come on, Alice. Let’s get out of here. Pretty sure Joan might still have some weed if we pay her.”
Arnie ducked under the archway as you stood in the entrance, eyeing as he approached him, talking before smacking him on the shoulder. Right when Alice and Cindy exit, Tommy stands, walking toward the side of the cave wall and pulling an ax off the wall. Arnie turned around from the entrance of the tunnel as he smiled, thinking it was a joke.
“What the hell are you doing, man? Tommy…”

Chapter Eight
warnings: mention of drugs
Later, you saw as Color War was beginning soon, wishing you were out monitoring campers instead of snooping in Mary's cabin as well as snitching on her. Slipping out of your cabin and jogging toward Nurse Lane's cabin, you see Tommy and Cindy. You greeted them.
“Let’s go.”
Cindy unlocked the cabin as her, Tommy and you stepped inside. A lamp was on, generating a source of light to search around in.
“What exactly are we looking for?” Tommy asked.
Cindy passed him the keys, turning her back to him.
“Answers.”
“It doesn’t matter, alright?” Tommy tried to convince her, but knew she was stubborn.
“It matters. There’s a reason Mary did what she did and said what she said. We’re going to figure it out now.”
Both Tommy and his sister sighed, only his was pained and fatigued.
“Come on, Cindy. Please, I...”
Cindy ignored him, looking in Mary’s office. She huffed, annoyed. She rummaged through the drawers until she pulled a bottle of pills from the desk. She chuckled, bringing them into the light.
“No label, half-empty. Like I said, she was on drugs.”
Tommy looked at his girlfriend as well as you.
“Get these to the cops, then they’ll tell us what they….”
Cindy paused as Tommy picked a book up from the desk. A symbol stood out on the page. ‘Witches Mark’ it said.
“What is that?”
“‘A deal was made with the devil. Sarah Fier cut off her wicked hand on Satan’s stone in exchange for eternal life, scattering the soil beneath with the witch’s mark, bringing darkness upon the land.’ ” Tommy read from the book.
You saw an unimpressed expression on Cindy’s face. She looked like she was about to say something when glass broke in the other room, located in the back of Nurse Lane’s cabin. Cindy gasped, grabbing your hand and squeezed it. She began walking out of the office, Tommy first, followed by his sister as you pulled Cindy closer.
“Did you hear that?” Tommy asked.
You both nodded as he went further, book still in hand. You followed him, leaving Cindy behind as she’s hesitant but stuck with you, holding hands. The three of you emerged into the main room with the medical beds, looking around.
“Hello?” Tommy asked. “Hello, is somebody here?”
Abruptly, Alice jumped from behind the door, screaming as it made Tommy jump back. It also startled you as well. Soon the three calmed down when you realized it was Alice and Arnie. Alice laughed, nearly falling over herself.
“That’s not funny.” Tommy complained.
Cindy walked forward, letting go of your hand.
“Alice? What are you doing here?”
She scoffed.
“Looks like we’re both here for the same thing.”
Alice pointed at Cindy’s hand, pointing out the drug capsule.
“Must really want me to scrub those toilets.”
Cindy put the bottle in her shoulder bag.
“This isn’t for you.”
Alice glared at you then at Cindy.
“Wait, Berman, I didn’t know you were into that sort of thing.” Arnie smiled, pointing to the drugs, bringing everyone’s attention back to them.
“They’re not for me.” Cindy glared. “I’m giving them to the cops.”
“Oh yeah, the cops. Yeah, right, of course. No, what are you talking about? What, now you’re gonna snitch on Mary, too? Amelia, are you joining the snitch team as well?”
“Can you… can you not, please?” You said, swallowing the lump in your throat.
Arnie lunged for the book in Tommy’s hand, lifting it up so he couldn’t reach.
“This for the cops too?”
“Give that back!”
“Come on, don’t be a dick.”
Arnie threw it to Alice as she caught the book, opening it and began reading.
“‘She emerged from the meeting house, one hand severed, lost forever. We hanged the witch, body chained and buried but without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm.’ Ooh. This is Sarah Fier shit!”
“Alice, come on.” Crindy pleaded.
“‘When she is near, blood will fall and the curse will last until body and hand unite.’”
“Alice, it’s Mary’s diary. Let’s put it back.”
Alice flipped through the book as you sat next to the sweaty male, checking to see if he’s okay.
“It’s not just a diary. It’s a map.”
Alice turned it over, showing a map of the camp, but it had markings all over it.
“What?”
“Crazy Nurse Lane made a crazy map.”
Alice walked toward Tommy and you and placed the opened book on the bed. You kneeled down next to Cindy, opposite Alice with Arnie standing at the end.
“It’s camp, but looks like she drew all over it,” Alice announced, pointing out one part of it to Cindy and you. “1666 Union.”
“Union, that’s Shadyside.” You began.
“What?”
“The settlement before it was divided into Shadyside and Sunnyvale.” The other brunette finishes.
“Really?”
“If you went to class.” Cindy comments.
Tommy spoke. “So, the camp is built in the same place as the settlement?”
Arnie loomed over the end of the bed, pointing at the map.
“Woah, look! Sarah Fier.”
The name Sarah Fier was written in the corner of the map, but all around it was covered in exes.
“Do you think that’s her house?”
“What are the exes?”
“There’s only one way to find out.”
Alice got up quickly, picking up the book and Cindy’s purse.
“Hey, that’s my bag.”
The blonde ignored her, ordering her boyfriend to grab a flashlight as they rushed out of the cabin. You began following them as Cindy was close behind, but Tommy walked out slower.
“Alice! Bring that back! What are you doing?” Cindy yelled.
“Come on, Alice. Give it back!” You shouted, hoping she'd listen.
“It’s called fun, Cindy Berman and Amelia Carter. You both used to have it, remember?” Alice spoke, rushing toward the woods, holding Cindy’s bag. “We’re gonna find you, Sarah Fier!”
You and Cindy glanced at each other, wondering if you should follow the couple. Tommy walked out finally, holding his head in his hands. He was pale and sweating profusely once again.
“Tommy?” You question.
“Tommy!” Cindy yelled harshly.
He shook his head, looking at the brunettes.
Tommy put on his plaid jacket and ran off after Alice and Arnie. You stood there, rigid but was brought back to reality when Cindy groped your hand.
“Come on. They took everything!”
Cindy, you and Tommy ran after the mischievous couple.

Chapter Seven
warnings: mention of drugs
Cindy looked at Joan, who was sprinkling weed into paper.
“Maybe she was on something.” She suggests.
Joan rolled her eyes. “Drugs are peaceful, not violent.”
You glanced at Gary as he and you tried to stifle a laugh.
“I’m not talking about marijuana.” She said firmly.
You watched as Gary laughed with Joan which caused her to snicker.
“Just admit you’re jealous that the witch wanted your hubby all to herself!” Gary joked, pulling Tommy into a headlock and ruffling his hair. Joan laughed.
Tommy pushed him off, not finding any of this funny. “Be serious, man. W-why would nurse Mary wanna do something like that? Why would she want me dead?”
You looked into your brother's eyes and saw confusion.
“Oh, no. She wouldn’t.” Gary shook his head.
“But the witch might!” Gary and Joan cursed, laughing together as Tommy leaned forward.
“Hey, they’re just playing around,” Cindy comforts.
“Don’t listen to them.” You reassure.
Tommy leaned further forward, completely serious.
“Did you see her eyes? There was something in there, something wrong.”
Both you and Cindy had serious expressions plastered on your faces before startling when suddenly Kurt clapped loudly from the front of the mess hall. He snaps the teens out of their stupor and looks toward the front.
“Alright!” He shouted. Sunnyvaler’s cheered. “Chicks, dicks, listen up! We had a scary situation, but we cannot let that mess with the most important night of our summer. Tonight is Sunnyvale versus Shadyside. It is red versus blue. It is good versus evil. Tonight, we commencicate color war!”
“It’s commence, my god.” Gary groaned.
You rolled your eyes. the blonde Sunnyvaler was being over dramatic as well as being a huge dick. Sunnyvaler’s cheered as Shadyside groaned. Joan licked her joint to roll it up.
“He might be dumb, but he’s kinda shagadelic.”
You look back up and see him cheering himself on. Gary turned to joan.
“He’s disgusting. You’re disgusting.”
Kurt began talking as you groaned, not wanting to hear more bullshit from him.
“Tonight’s first event is capture the Flag, baby.” He lifted up a red flag that belonged to Sunnyvale. “Yeah, yeah, yeah! Now, Sunnyvalers… We have never, ever… lost a Color War! So let’s not let tonight be a stain on our legacy.”
He pointed at the Shadyside flag, but you ignored him as you sighed in annoyance.
“And let’s go out there like our ancestors before us and murder those Shadyside witches!”
Looking over at Tommy, you saw that he began sweating profusely and bowed his head down from the constant cheering. Joan got up and walked toward the front, being the spokesperson for Shadyside
“Uh, hi!” She giggled. “Thank you, Kurt, for that neat-o speech. Now, Shadysiders, let’s get out there and do our best because—”
You stopped listening from there, noticing that Cindy was gone. Tommy didn’t seem to notice, looking as if he was about to puke. You got up from the bench too, following after the older Berman.
Wondering where Cindy went, you overheard her talking as you watched Ziggy and Cindy in the Arts and Crafts cabin. Not wanting to eavesdrop, you did it anyway as your stomach churned.
“...Not in the mood,” Ziggy replied, hitting the top off a paint can.
The older Berman sister ignored her and carried on speaking.
“Earlier, you said Mary was upset.”
The red-head scoffed, turning around and faced her sister.
“Oh, so now you care!”
“Ziggy, this is serious.”
“It was serious earlier, and you didn’t give a shit.”
You continued watched as Ziggy grabbed the paint can, walking toward the cabin entrance. You didn’t want to be seen, so you hid behind the treeline, being able to hear them from afar. Cindy walked after her younger sister.
“Come on, you were the last person to see her before she snapped.”
The sisters walked further along the camp path as Cindy struggled to catch up with Ziggy’s wide steps.
“What about drugs? Did you see any around?”
Ziggy rolled her eyes. "She's a nurse, so yup."
"Well, did she mention anything or--"
"Nope,"
"Ziggy, I'm just... I'm trying to understand what happened today."
"Who cares? It's over."
"Not for Tommy. He's still freaked out and acting weird and... Amelia doesn't seem okay from what happened. Also, it's just a big joke to everyone. 'Mary was possessed by the witch'."
"Maybe it was the witch," Ziggy shrugged.
“Ziggy...”
"What? That doesn't fit your carefully constructed bullshit view of the world?"
"Why are you being like this?" Cindy asked.
"I dunno. Maybe because apart from Amelia, Nurse Lane was the only person who was nice to me, and now her life is over because bad things always happen to Shadysiders."
"Nothing just happens. There's always a reason."
The two sisters reached Ziggy's cabin, both of them stopping outside.
"Not always a rational one," Ziggy responded. "Deep down, you feel it, don't you? Shadyside, there's something here. It's just holding us down, cursing us."
"Ziggy, that's enough," Cindy said, not amused.
“You’re too scared to admit it. When things go bad, you wanna explain it away.”
“I’m sorry. I’m not going to blame everything on some fairy tale. Life sucks sometimes. I get that. I mean, God knows it's been hard since…”
Bunny saw Cindy’s eyes fill with tears. She wanted to rush out and comfort her.
“Since what?” Ziggy tried antagonizing her older sister. “See, you can’t even say it! Since Dad left! Since Mom started drinking. Since we’re going to lose the house. And it’s not gonna magically get better. And saving up all summer to buy a super cute polo shirt can’t hide that either. Trying to explain why nice old Nurse Lane almost lost it today can’t either.”
Ziggy took a step towards Cindy.
“We’re all cursed. For Mary, it was today. But someday, it’ll be you. And this whole fake bullshit life of yours, it’s gonna come crashing down.”
“That’s a horrible thing to say.”
“It’s not horrible if it’s true.”
There was silence between the two siblings as Cindy tried working out what she wanted to say, not wanting to cry in front of Ziggy.
“I don’t know who you are anymore, but… but you’re not my sister.”
Ziggy didn’t seem to be fazed. “Then who am I?”
“A monster.”
Ziggy smiled sadly, walking back towards her cabin, opening the door and putting the paint cans inside. Cindy walked forward to see the inside of the cabin. You stepped closer, seeing partially inside as the cabin was vandalized likely by Sheila.
“That’s what they say.”
Ziggy then forcefully shut the door in Cindy’s face.
Stepping up to the Berman sister, you ended up startling Cindy as you apologized. You looked the saddened brunette in the eyes.
“What’s going on?” You questioned, acting as if you weren't eavesdropping.
“Nothing. Just sibling issues.” Cindy said, putting on a smile. “Anyway, we need to find Tommy.”
“Why? What are we doing?”
“Sneaking into Nurse Lane’s cabin. We need to see why she tried to kill Tommy.”
“Okay.”
“Get what you need, and meet us outside her cabin in ten minutes!” She shouted, ushering away.

Chapter Six
warnings: knives, attacks, strong language throughout
Eventually you got back to the mess hall and watched as Tommy already had the buckets full of soapy water as well as two sponges handing his sister one of each before you walked over to the window, setting the bucket down and spilling a little bit of soapy water on the floor in the process.
You knelt, wiping down the wooden floor as Cindy bursted in before grabbing a bucket and sponge. She dips the sponge before ringing it out and throwing it beneath her. Cindy was on the floor, sponge in hand as she washes the wooden planks. Tommy watches, barely doing his job.
“I swear to god everyone just wants to ruin my life.” Cindy complaints. “Alice, just like.. She won’t let it go. It’s like we’re still 12 years old and her whole goal in life is to— to punish me for something that wasn’t even my fault.
You watched closely as Cindy began scrubbing the planks harder compared to you and your brother’s smooth and slow pace on the tables and windows.
“I can’t believe you guys used to be friends,” Tommy replied.
You stayed quiet as Cindy placed the sponge on the floor, washing harder.
“And Ziggy…” Cindy groaned. “It’s only a matter of time before she ends up in jail or worse.”
You continued watching, keeping quiet so Cindy didn't bite your head off next.
“I’m trying to be a good role model and make something of myself. But no, no, I’m the stuck up priss who hates fun, which isn't even true. I like fun. I like fun!”
You and Tommy glance at each other before looking back at the brunette, amused.
“I just… I just want to get out of Shadyside. Is that so crazy?”
One more hard shove and the sponge split into two, making Cindy panic more.
“Shit! Shit!” She curses.
“Did Cindy Berman just swear?” Tommy asked.
Cindy glared at her boyfriend, annoyed. You were quiet, not wanting to say something toee either Tommy or her, but continued cleaning.
“Tommy! Not in the mood!”
Cindy stepped up from where she was kneeling, walking out of the room with foamy hands to search for another sponge. Tommy looked at you as you noticed his gaze upon you, raising his brows and telling you to follow the older Berman. Nodding, you draped the sponge on the bucket and followed Cindy. Walking into the storage closet, you heard the female muttering to herself.
“It’s okay. You’re okay. You’re okay.”
You walked behind the older Berman, grabbing her shoulders as Cindy jumped at your abrupt presence.
“If you begin talking to yourself, people will start thinking Sarah Fier possessed you or something.” You teased.
Cindy glared at you unamused before grabbing your hands from her shoulder and held them. You began to heat up at her touch, feeling her pruney fingers against your delicate skin. You release a breath you weren't realizing you were holding.
“Don’t tell me you believe that witch stuff.”
"You never know,"
Letting go, you manage to find another sponge before the goody two shoes notices and grabs it as the brunette realizes how close she and you are. Instantaneously, from the corner of your eye, you see a shadow pass into the mess hall as you freeze in your spot.
Cindy saw the same thing since she almost drops the sponge, and squeezes your hand. You both rise as you pull Cindy behind you, making your way into the kitchen.
“Tommy, is that you?” Cindy asks, softly.
You were silent and rigid, but continued on as you knew Tommy would never do this even on you favorite Holiday -- Halloween. Trudging, you and Cindy walked past an open drawer. When you peeked inside, it was full of knives. Cindy closed it and continued, approaching the mess hall.
When you arrived, Tommy was nowhere to be found as the mess hall sits the same as it did prior. The silence creeped on you, making it eerie. The sounds of shouts and laughter are heard outside. Cindy let go of your hand since it began sweating.
“Tommy, what are you doing? You’re really…. Freaking us out.”
“What is it, Babe?” Tommy asked from behind them, startling her and Cindy.
“Jesus Christ.” You curse under your breath.
Giving each other relieved smiles, the floorboard nearby creaked as you turned toward the noise. Nurse Lane stood in the kitchen doorway. The older woman looked more tired and worn since earlier, her wrinkled face glistens with sweat. She walked out from the doorway and towards Tommy.
“Nurse Lane?” He questioned, nervously.
Cindy abruptly hit your arm, following her gaze to the older woman’s hand, seeing that Mary was holding a large kitchen knife. Nurse Lane threateningly made her way over to Tommy.
“I saw your name. I saw it on the wall. One way or another, you’re gonna die tonight.
Both of you stayed rigid, holding hands once again. Your fingers laced together with hers as if you've done this before.
“What are you talking about?” Tommy asked, stepping back as sweat formed.
Nurse Lane lunged forward with the knife, pushing Tommy down onto one of the mess hall benches. Cindy and you gasped and watched Tommy struggling to hold the knife away from his face. The male managed to gain the upper hand and push them both off the bench, hitting his head in the process.
This left him vulnerable and Mary was about to Stab him as he pushed her against the bench, knocking her unconscious. The older woman fell to the ground as you heaved, watching the stressful situation slowly flood away. You grabbed your inhaler and put the red breather in your mouth, puffing little air into your lungs.
Tommy looked at you — sliding the inhaler in your pocket — and his girlfriend as he touched the back of his head. Bringing his hand back, his fingers doused with blood. His hand shook as their eyes met, looking very scared in the process.
Later, you sat between Tommy and Cindy as the cops questioned you all. You watched as Nurse Lane was wheeled out on a stretcher with a bandage wrapped around her head. Tears pricked at your eyes.
“You got some history with her? She had a grudge against you?” The officer asked.
“No grudge. No, we barely ever talked.” He replied, gesturing across the camp. “I… I go get bug spray from her. That’s it. It just doesn’t… it doesn’t make any sense.”
“Why— why would she do something like this?” You asked, brows furrowed.
The officer looked up from his notepad, unamused. “She was nuts, just like her kid.”
“But she wasn’t crazy,” You spoke.
“That’s what she said about her kid, but sane people don’t chop up their friends. Now, tell me again what happened.”
Tommy re-told the story as Cindy zoned out, glaring at her sister as you followed her gaze over to Ziggy who is being harassed by Sheila and her bitchy friends.
The ambulance began to leave, followed by the police as you walked up to Cindy, who stood in front of the Camp Nightwing sign. They both watched as everyone began scattering from the crazed event that occurred. You and her turned around, walking toward the mess hall before approaching the counselor’s table.
Soon enough, rumors floated around the mess hall as the story of Nurse Lane made way to everyone’s tongues. A different story was told, most of which involved Sarah Fier’s witch curse, but the people who really knew what happened were you, Tommy and Cindy. The three of you sat at a table with Gary, Joan and other Shadyside counselors. You sat beside Cindy who was seated next to Joan, across from Gary and Tommy.
“She said one way or another, I was gonna die tonight.” Tommy replayed the story to Gary and Joan.
Cindy looked at him with a sympathetic expression whilst Gary leaned toward him, wiggling his fingers.
“Spooky!”
Joan, who was rolling a joint, begins to speak. “The kiddos are right. That’s, like, totally witchy behavior.”
Cindy and you both looked at Joan with unamused expressions. The brunette shook her head.
“It’s just, there must be some explanation. The witch isn’t real.”
“Like what?” You asked.
“Well, maybe…” Cindy looked at Joan.

Chapter Five
warnings: mild language throughout
You stepped behind Cindy, who was very much upset from the stressing situation from earlier involving Alice.
“Cindy.”
Something inside the brunette snapped, her tone changing from sweet and happy to vague and rude. You were only here because she dragged you with her.
“What? Can’t you ever leave me alone? Why do you always follow me around like a lost puppy? Stop following me everywhere I go. You need to get a life.”
You stopped, tears pricking at your eyes. You forced the tears back, knowing Cindy was upset about Alice and will be her normal, "perfect" self later. You stay behind Cindy, not leaving her side. You reach the bottom on the cabin stairs as she grabs your wrist. Her emotions changed almost immediately.
“Amelia, w–why didn’t you chime in?”
“Cindy, just knock it off! And, how can I when you’re being a bitch right now.”
You pull your hand from Cindy’s grip as she flinches at the bitter tone in your voice. The two of you stayed silent for a few seconds after.
“Berman!”
Kurt appeared in front of you, glaring at the older Berman sister. You knew this was about Ziggy and that she was definitely in trouble with Cindy as both of you were startled from Kurt's sudden appearance.
“Where have you been? I’ve been looking all over. Your sister—” Kurt stops as he begins sniffing the air around Cindy and you. “Cindy Berman, Amelia Slater, that smell better be skunk.”
Bunny rolled her eyes, Cindy sighed.
“What about my sister?” She asked.
Without hesitation, Cindy began walking as she called you with her, this time a little less bitchy. You both walked to Nurse Lane’s cabin as you feel eager to apologize for your actions from earlier.
“Cindy, forgive me about earlier.”
“It’s fine. You know I have already forgiven you. Don't put so much pressure on yourself.” Cindy responded.
Finally making it into the cabin, both of you opened the door to find Ziggy sitting on one of the medical beds, Nurse Lane across from her. You glances at the two females, keeping your eyes on Ziggy.
“Hi, Nurse Lane.” Cindy greeted, sweetly as if she weren’t pissed off.
“Hi, Cindy, Amelia.”
The fire haired female rose, standing up from the bed, looking toward her sister, almost afraid.
“Ziggy,” Cindy said in a tense tone.
Trailing behind the Berman sisters, you stay quiet as you listens soon after Cindy begins speaking. You, including the Berman sisters, exit the cabin, and step down the few stairs outside.
“You realize what happens if you get kicked out, right? How awful that would be for me?”
Ziggy ignores her older sister, brows furrowed and look as if she were worried about something.
“Did someone do something to Nurse Lane? Like make fun of her daughter?”
“Ziggy, are you listening to me?”
“She was upset.”
“I don’t care! I… Do you hear what I’m saying to you?”
“Loud and clear, ma’am.”
“Well, you don’t. We had this conversation last week and the week before that.”
“Yeah, well, once again, I’m not gonna get kicked out.”
“That’s not what Kurt thinks.”
“Yeah, well Kurt can suck it.”
Cindy grabbed her sister's arm as you continued to stay silent behind the Berman sisters. They stand in place while you do the same, stopped in the middle of the path.
“No! Ziggy, no!” Cindy begins. “If you get kicked out, I do too. Mom can’t work and take care of you. Then how will I pay for college, huh?”
Ziggy scoffs, chuckling and rolling her eyes.
“Oh, that’s funny to you?”
“Yeah, kinda.”
The three of you keep walking. “Explain to me what’s so funny.”
“How dumb you are.”
You walk off, not wanting to be the bearer of distraction for Ziggy as you wander throughout the camp, wondering where Tommy went. You walked toward the mess hall, looking back and saw the two sisters still talking, staring at Cindy's delicate features as your heart fluttered.
Without realizing it, your cheeks turn a bright shade of red when Caroline and you collide. You look at who she ran into.
"Oof. I'm sorry, Carol."
Caroline was a close family-friend to your family. She was also someone who stayed by your side throughout your pregnancy, and would've taken your daughter in, but volunteered as a counselor at Camp Nightwing so Jennifer had to go somewhere else for the summer. Caroline knew your sexuality and luckily supported you, hoping for the best.
"You're fine. Holy shit. Your face is a bright shade of crimson."
"Is it? Oh, fuck. I must be getting sunburned."
"Or you're blushing because of that Berman sister you like." Caroline teases.
"What? I- No. No, it's not that. I'm-- I'm getting sunburned."
"If you say so,"
You roll your eyes at her before saying goodbye to Caroline, and head off toward the mess hall like you were supposed to do prior. However, you get distracted by Cindy Berman...
