Prob you r the culprit of it-

They rarely get upset about anything unless u dont speak to them, ignore them and dont cuddle with them on purpose.

They will do anything to make u forgive them for whatever they did to make u upset.

As for kaku he will constantly ask himself what did he do, why r u upset, is it his fault? Did he do something wrong without knowing? He will follow u around the house trying to get the courage to ask u but u end up ignoring just crushed the idea.
