Devil with the Devil

Lucci never got used to the dampness. It clung to his arms as he worked, crept under his clothes and covered his forehead with a thin sheen of sweat. The ends of his hair fizzled into an unruly chaos he so much despised, and at times it seemed he could not take a single breath of air without having the stench of fish and rotting algae sticking to his tongue.  The irritation was growing so overwhelming that he wanted to reduce the Serenissima Republic Acqua 7 to ashes, if only to get rid of that smell.

Here's my full piece I did for @cipherpolzine. Im still extremely proud and honored I was able to be a part of it, and being able to draw my favorite ship🥹🐆🦒💖 I felt so validated as an artist when they asked me to be a guest and the team behind it was the most loving group of mods I've ever had. I would love to be a part of their next project if and when it happens. I cannot thank them enough. Please go show the artists and the zine some love.🫶💕

How much is a life worth? How does one begin to capture a life lived? For Fukuro, the respective answers are: nothing much, and by creating a plot line and destiny for the body to rest in. After all, as a gossip-monger, who knows better than him on the matter? Given free reign, he can cut loose and set up his stage. Lights... cameras... action!

Melody and I collaborated on the @cipherpolzine to create a Fukuro-centered story with 2 full illustrations! She put in so much care and details, I'm blown away every time I revisit her art. Just look at them, aaaaaa!!!
