For today's blog were talking about CYBER SECURITY AND DISADVANTAGES OF ICT

Internet is not safe and yet there are still many netizens used it . Our social media and us are very vulnerable. once we open our social media accounts, who knows what will happen internet attackers are everywhere specially hackers and their has 5 major security problems these are:

☣VIRUS

☣HACKERS

☣MALWARE

☣CRACKING PASSWORDS

☣TROJAN HORSES

Sounds familiar right? these are the danger in your online doing in the internet

Theirs not way to avoid hacking but theirs a way to prevent it, the cyber security

Cyber security is our life saviour for it offers security through online services you can just download it free but some of this are paid apps, this is also for your safety.

As we know prevention is better than cure. So to avoid these you should download and install security programs like anti malware and anti virus in your conputer or any device, use strong passwords, activate your firewalls, and activate network threat protection.

And if its have advantage in ICT there were also disadvantages despite of being a great use to a lot of people still ICT has it flaws, everyone has it. This advantages results to cyber crime where illegal acts are done over the Internet. Such as:

🔥blackmailing

🔥phising

🔥hacking

🔥sports betting

🔥non-delivery merchandize

🔥electronic harassment

🔥drug trafficking

🔥criminal copyright infragment

CREATING WEBSITE USING HTML

So for this blog We used to think creating a webpage is difficult and it will cost a bunch of your time but we thought wrong, it will just cost  minutes to create basic website with the help of HTML tags.

So first what is HTML

HyperTextMarkupLanguage or also known as HTML is a publishing language of the world wide web or www; the standard used to create webpages.This will help you to create the most basic webpage you could ever have.

But before creating a websiteBut you should learn first the basic tags of HTML and use the basic tools

basic tools for this are:

😀PLAIN TEXT EDITOR LIKE NOTEPAD

😁WEB BROWSER

😃HTML REFERENCE BOOK OR YOU COULD JUST LOOK IT UP ON THE INTERNE.

And before you creater a website These are the basic html tags

Tags are enclosed by brackets <>

Tags are require a closing tag (e.g. <HTML>....</HTML>

Header tags range from <H1> TO <H6>, Largest (<h1>) and smallest (<h6>)

Use <center> if you want to center your elements

<P> is used if you will put paragraph

Bold Text <B>, Italic text <I> use to put emphasis on text

Use <br> if you wish to line break without creating vertical space

If you want to separate a section, use <HR> to insert a bar

You must try it because its fun creating a website and you must master the basic first to easily master it all .

Online platforms for I.C.T content Development

For this topic online platforms such as; social media platforms, blogging platforms, C.M.S. that allows you to communicate, socialize and store files.

In this topic, we are focusing about Cloud Computing that allows you to store files online.

Example of Cloud Storage:

-Google Drive

-Media File

-iCloud

;and many more.

Its no need to install.

Saves hard disk space.

Easy to access.

Save you money.

No need to update.

And back up data & restore. But their's a dark side of this advantages. It can be hampered down by slow internet. It may still required compatible software. You do not own this software. Security risk. Limited control. And prone to hacking.

I advice that when you store in cloude storage like google drive, you store not very important files or data. That can used against you.

Imaging and Design for Online Environment

In this topic we're talking about online graphic designing, that we create's graphics in online environment such as; infographics, web designing and many more.

In this topic we are focusing in infographic design. We can create inforgraphic in many different application. For me, I use Adobe Photoshop. But for the beginners, I recommend Piktochart.

Piktochart is a website that allows to create an infographic in an easy way using creative and easy to customize templates of infographics.

We tackled the Basic Principles of Graphic and Layout:

-Balance

-Emphasis

-Movement

-Pattern, Reputation & Rhythm

-Proportion

Lastly, we tackled the Principles and Basic Techniques of Image:

-Choose the Right File Format

-Choose the Right Image Size

-Caption it

Advance presentation skills

This is a Presentation software that allows you to create electronic visual aids to catch up more attention to the viewers.

This allows user to choose the type of layout in creating presentations using easy to customize templates and most effective tool in lecture and seminars. Best example is MS powerpoint, adobe acrobat corel presentation, and softmaker presentations.

I recomend to use is MS PowerPoint that was originaly designed for Macintosh computer. It was called "presenter" develope by Thomas Rudkin and Dennis Austin. I recomend this kind of software becase it also easy to use like we discussed in spreadsheet.

Advance spreadsheet skill

Also known electronic spreadsheet. It allows you to calculate and organize data in very simple way. An example of spreadsheets is MS excell, corel quattro pro, easy spreadsheet, celframe spreadsheet, kspread, openoffice calc, but we usually use MS Excell.

This MS Excell is the most popular and widely used in bussines and academ.

It can be also be use for calculation table, list/inventories, data base, budjet/financial table, calendar schedule, time sheets, and many more,

MS Excel has 3 components

-data base component

-chart components

I also advice when you making an organizer i recomend MS excell because its easy to use. And limitless your imagination to create wonderful outputs. That all for to day follow for more updates about I.C.T

For today's reflection i will show you guys how important is the advance word process skilss "mailing" so lets start

Lets start with the word processing programs example ms word, correct word, celframe, kwords, and many more.

So i use ms word

Ms word is a part of ms office productivity suite/package and obviously a word processing software

So i will introduce the mail merge in ms word

Mail merge is important because it is use for mass mailing or company for delivering mails for a different client

So i will show the steps in mail merge process

1, open or create the main document

2, open or create data source

3, edit the main doc

4, perform merge

Rules of netiquette is our previous topic so this reflection shows what I've learn in the topic rules of netiquette so first of all what is rule of netiquette?

Rules of netiquette is the network etiquette that is, the etiquette of cyberspace. And "etiquette" means "the forms required by good breeding or prescribed by authority to be required in social or official life. Rules of netiquette stands as the limitation on how do we behave in the internet. It is importan to us in order avoid chaos in social media or socializing.

This is the rules of the internet or netiquette

Put your best foot forward. Make sure that you project the image that you want to present to people at all times.

Don't ask people to shill for you. ...

Our previous lesson is rules of netiquette. And this reflection is what I've learn in the rule of netiquette which is our lesson number 2. First of all what is the rule of netiquette?

Rule of netiquette is network etiquette that is, the etiquette of cyberspace. And "etiquette" means "the forms required by good breeding or prescribed by authority to be required in social or official life."

So rules of netiquette is a set of rules of the internet or some call it cyberspace where people socialize or to entertain them selves. Rules of netiquette stand as the limitation on how do we behave in the internet so that there will be no chaos in the interner

In this reflection i upgrade my knowledge about ICT and how ICT affect our daily life,

Why do we need to study ICT?

It is helpful for us ? Lets find out on our topic in ICT

Technology is very useful to our daily life it make communicate people in convenient way, it help us to make our life easily by various program that install on our mobile phone or in our personal computer.

Did you know that the Philippines was known as the "ICT hub of Asia" because of the many ICT related jobs which one of it is call center around the country. And talented, fast learning people in the Philippines.

Also in 2012, on every 100 pilipinos have 106.08 mobile phones not included the personal computers.

And in time Magazines, Philippines Makati City was known as the #1 "SELFIEST City around the world" and the rank 9 was in Cebu City.

The World Wide Web (WWW), commonly known as the Web, is an information system where documents and other web resources are identified by Uniform Resource locators (URLs, such as https://www.tumblr.com), which may be interlinked by hypertext, and are accessible over the inyernet.

(Web) have 3 types the web 1.0, web 2.0, and web 3.0 .

Web 1.0 is a static website that Cannot be manipulated or websites without interactivity

Web 2.0 is a dynamic websites that can be manipulated by the user.

And web 3.0 is a concept of world wide web that designed to cater user.

Lastly, why do we need to study ICT?

One of the reasons. It is your adavangtage for your self second ICT is one of the economic development pillars to gain national competitive advantage. It can improve the quality of human life because it can be used as a learning and education media, the mass communication media in promoting and campaigning practical and important issues, such as the health and social area. It provides wider knowledge and can help in gaining and accessing information.
