Let me say this Anakin says to Padme compassion is central to Jedi. But possession is forbidden. I feel like Anakin wanted to possess Padme. It was his selfish love. True love is always selfless. Even in light Anakin's love for Padme was selfish for Ben it was selfless. That's why he chose to sacrifice and save his life. That's only one thing JJ took from TLJ "saving the one we love"
