On a more serious note, people really need to stop acting as if every movie needs to be some deep masterpiece just because others did. I actively prefer dumb fun movies over what wins an Oscar, we need dumb fun movies. And people trying to call something slop just because it is dumb fun compared to a deeper movie, is like trying to compare the original Scream and Ratatouille. They’re different experiences made with different goals, which is how we should honestly review media.
