"You really don't know who that was?" Dune's gung-ho attitude had started to grate on Fett's nerves. The woman was an accomplished fighter, she had his respects for that, but nonetheless had a terrible time reading the room. Din's spaced out shrug should have been ample indication that he was in no condition to play the woman's games.

"That, was Luke Skywalker," Bo-Katan deadpanned, barely masking her disgust, "the rebellion's guard dog."

"And resident sob story, it's not like the Jedi were the only ones that got genocided—" Cara sneered, Fennec did very little to hide her eye roll at the shock trooper's self victimizing tirade, "I mean really, they should put Organa's face up instead, represent the people who actually lost something."

Fett raised his brow at Fennec, and this time her eye roll was aimed at him, "Dune," she interrupted seamlessly, "looks like the Moff is waking up, let's move him to confinement and start rounding up the rest of the crew?" She shifted her weapon expertly on her hip, hinting at the sort of violence that appealed to the sheriff.

When they had left and the other Mandalorians had turned to start learning their new ships' controls, Din turned to him and asked lowly, "How dangerous is he?"

"He killed me once," said Boba, then when Din stared at him, he shrugged, "he had help."

i get why people hesitate around padme/shmi parallel stuff, i do, and there is definitely some sexism at work here re: the slots glucas put his two prominent female characters in, that’s all fair ground for ground for critique. but. also. if we look at the text. if we are real with ourselves. it is crucial for the plot that anakin’s anxieties around losing his mother translate over to how he feels about padme. he compares them over and over in dialogue. saying there isn’t some mother complex stuff brewing in his psyche is just incorrect
