Crazy enough as it sounds, i need this as art reference!! I know!! I'm in love with this beetle and made a puppet of it and am going to make a stop-motion video!! I'll post results!!

Hi! I want to introduce you to my two little pet beetles, Fluffy and Cinnamon Roll :]

Fluffy is the larger one and has five and a half legs. Cinnamon Roll is smaller and has four legs. They were both missing those limbs when I found them. I decided to bring them home.

They are diabolical ironclad beetles (not sure why their species is called that; they are gentle little beetles and are scavengers and eat plant matter and mushrooms etc.) I had been researching potential pet beetles and heard that diabolical ironclad beetles did really well in captivity and were easy to care for. I’ve had them for over three months and they seem to be doing well 💕

I have been feeding them various fruits and veggies and freeze-dried chicken for some protein. Their favorite is carrots so far. Though they’re also fond of cabbage and zucchini.
