Fucking Superman!
(Spoilers I guess? Yah I think so)
I meant that in a good way lol. So far one of my favorite adaptations of Superman, it was so incredibly fun and comical. Superman was so much more vulnerable, both in his human side and even his hero side. He really is just a kid from a farm trying his best to save people. Even the creatures and villains he has to fight, he tries to save them.
That being said… so much goddamn WHUMP! Aahsjska hehehe
Sorry, literally was kicking my feet like a kid while he was getting royally beat down the whole movie. Not to mention being stuck in a confined box with kryptonite. I think that was the harshest I’ve ever seen kryptonite actually work on him. It was practically boiling his skin and rotting him (kryptonite poisoning too). He was so helpless, it tugged at my heart.
There were so many actual physical injuries too. Real bruises, blood, even broken/dislocated bones. He wasn’t just invincible, he was… alive? I don’t know how to describe it, but I loved every second of it.
Don’t even get me started on the suffocation with the nano technology. Filling his lungs so he literally couldn’t breathe. Nightmare fuel for me first of all, but such whumpy goodness seeing him struggle and practically vomit it all out.
There’s simply too much to talk about and remember, but if someone hasn’t seen it yet, you should! Even if just for the whump and you’re not a superhero movie fan, it’s actually a really compelling story and everything feels pretty genuine. I think anyone would like it.

Semi important PSA, but the tag #superman and Lois is for posts about the CW show, not for posts that happen to include the characters of Superman and Lois Lane. As someone who’s deep into the Superman and Lois fandom, it is quite frankly very frustrating to go into the tags looking for other fans, only to find content not related to the show. So, if you want to help a tiny (but mighty) fandom out, consider changing how you tag your posts.

My main complaint too! Still hoping we get it in deleted scenes 😅
The Superman movie not having the beating scene was my biggest (and only) complaint! It looked so good 😫 they cut the good stuff!!
RIGHT!?!??! IT WAS SO RUDE!!! I wanted to see it so bad!! Maybe we'll get deleted scenes lol. Or an extended cut. At least we got A LOT of other good whumps in this movie.
