Rubber vs stainless steel braided brake hoses
Initially, most vehicles are equipped with a rubber brake hose. At first, the rubber hoses are satisfactory. But it doesn’t take long for them to wear down and lose their braking strength. Soon, the brakes feel spongey and unreliable.
Do away with low-quality rubber hoses by installing a stainless steel braided brake hose from Classic Tube. Whether you’re building a custom system or simply replacing a damaged brake hose, stainless steel is a significant upgrade for your vehicle.
Classic Tube’s stainless steel braided brake hoses ensure that there will be no volumetric expansion, and provide drivers with a powerful braking experience for years to come, unlike rubber hoses that begin to expand and deteriorate in such a short time.
If you’re looking for a serious upgrade on your brake hoses, consider the StopFlex brake hose. With a special three-layer design only available through Classic Tube, you can be sure your new stainless steel braided brake hose will keep you safe and your vehicle in tip-top shape. You can find more information at classictube.com. Order your StopFlex braided brake hose from Classic Tube today!

Three Reasons Why Every Vehicle Should Be Equipped with StopFlex® Brake Hoses
The StopFlex® Stainless Steel Braided Brake Hose, manufactured by Classic Tube, is a flexible hose assembly that carries brake fluid to the brakes on all four corners of a vehicle. Flexibility and strength of the hoses are the most important factors in performance.
Safety
The StopFlex® hose is manufactured to meet compliance standards set by the DOT. The Department of Transportation specifies that a vehicle’s brake hose, for use on the street, must be able to pass all of their test procedures. These tests include pressure, elongation, and pull test, but most important is the “whip” test. The whip test subjects the hose to motion to mimic the movement of the hose during suspension and steering movement.
 Service Life
The StopFlex® hose is constructed with a stainless steel braided design for long lasting superior performance under all conditions.
 Effectiveness
The three layer StopFlex® design is made by starting with a Teflon PTFE liner, a stainless steel braid and a clear vinyl cover. The combination of these three materials provide virtually no volumetric expansion. The superior strength eliminates a spongy brake pedal feeling that most rubber brake hoses develop. This creates immediate response and confidence in your brake pedal application.
From performance to safety, the StopFlex® hose is designed with quality and precision.

Stainless Steel Brake & Fuel Lines: A Vital Upgrade for Your Old Chevy 4WD Trucks
If you don’t currently have stainless steel brake and fuel lines in your old Chevy four-wheel drive truck, you’re in for a vital upgrade on your vehicle. Brake and fuel lines that aren’t made of stainless steel are incredibly prone to rust, corrosion and cracking. We highly recommend you make the switch to stainless steel very soon.
No matter where you live or how you use your Chevy truck, stainless steel brake and fuel lines are able to withstand anything. Whether you’re driving around dirt, road debris, salt, or even if you just like to go off-roading, these stainless steel brakes will not rust, not even with age. What’s not so good is that if you don’t have stainless steel brake and fuel lines, these line are incredibly susceptible to rusting and corrosion.
If your brake or fuel lines aren’t stainless steel and they do begin to rust or corrode, there’s a high change that your truck will experience line failure. When brake and fuel lines experience line failure, it can turn into an incredibly dangerous situation, resulting in fires, car crashes, and worse.
Don’t let this happen to you or your Chevy truck. Invest in stainless steel brake and fuel lines.
Corrosion resistance depends solely on the amount of chromium and nickel in the stainless steel. Stainless steel has 20% chromium and 10% nickel, which makes this material very tough and virtually immune to rust. Even in areas with extreme winters and heavily salted roads will these brake and fuel lines withstand rust. No matter the amount of precipitation or oxidation, there won’t be a change in these brake and fuel lines.
Because of the amount of nickel in stainless steel, it can also resist stress-corrosion cracking better than other materials. This gives stainless steel an incredibly long service life, making trips to the mechanic very rare. Upgrade your old Chevy truck’s brake and fuel lines to stainless steel today!
