Personally, I think the "glamour" would be like a very sophisticated mask or disguise, an illusion, which perhaps requires a certain amount of concentration, and when that concentration is lost, the disguise disappears completely. I assume this because of what he says, about how since the kids at school are used to seeing mutated humans, he might take it off because it's annoying, and well, that's what he ends up doing.

I think the thing about staying focused a lot and being fully aware that you're wearing it is also relevant, it seems that if you're wearing one it's as if you weren't really wearing anything, one can even speculate that maybe he still looks the same, it's just your perception that is altered, not his, hence when people ask him who he is he would have forgotten that he was wearing it, normally people get scared when they see him, and they weren’t scared, so he remembered again that he was wearing it, which also makes sense considering the neutrality of the original language

As for shapeshifting, I do believe he can reorganize his body into any person. In the end, Elias is a shadow and everything has a shadow, as if your shadow copied you, only it comes with consequences. In this case, this form is shorter than normal, it has to be compressed and packed more. In addition, he could possibly spend mana on putting on a different color palette, other than a white head, dark purple body, and red eyes, but that would possibly weaken him even more.

I imagine it as a liquid or gas, putting it in different containers, but if it is under pressure it hurts or bothers you.

Glamour vs. Shapeshifting

(In terms of Elias's most mysterious human face)

This is the first time we see this face, and it is not referred to as a glamour. Here's the relevant dialogue with my more literal translation that makes the distinction more clear:

Seth: Is that Ainsworth? I thought magic or sorcery or anything of that nature didn't work in the auction house... Elias: That's what I had heard too, so I didn't use either. I just entirely rearranged my shape.

We'll call this "shapeshifting" for simplicity. However, this appearance is not always accessed through shapeshifting, because there are two instances where Elias explicitly refers to it as a glamour:

This brings up so many questions for me. We've seen Elias transform into various beastial forms- I would assume all of those qualify as shapeshifting. Can he access any of his other human appearances through shapeshifting, or is the Simon-face always a glamour?

Besides shapeshifting not being magic and glamour being magic, what are the other differences? Is glamour faster to put on and take off? Is shapeshifting easier to hold for longer periods of time without strain? Is there the risk of "getting stuck" in a certain form while shapeshifting improperly, like we see at the beginning of the series when Elias gets stuck as a giant beastie for a while?

If even half of these questions get plausible answers I will be happy, because right now we don't even know who this person is. Elias 'doesn't remember' and it's driving me crazy.

Since it was brought up in @xxcrossroadsxx post , here's the 29 images that were included in a slideshow in the season 2 limited edition blu-ray 4. These images were drawn by various staff members, like in the staff memorial art book from season 1, but these were never made in print form, only in the video 😔. For reference, a single limited edition blu-ray box retails at 19800 yen (~$137 USD) and is only available in Japan unless you use a proxy to buy. My blu-ray software was very strict about drm and would not allow me to take screenshots (I tried varous things but nothing worked), so these are just shitty photos of my laptop screen that I took using my phone. Not great, but you get the idea of the images. And considering they're not supposed to be shared it's probably better that they're low quality anyways tbh. Credits for each image (the person who drew it and their role as staff) are in the image descriptions in both Japanese and English (the translation is just what I ran through deepl so take it with a grain of salt, the original japanese was also pulled from the images before cropping so there might be mistakes there too).

(Sorry for the long ahh paragraph) Im really desperate to know the answer of this😭, you know chapter 1 the third or fourth image showing chise a future prediction of herself as a mage right? (Thats what i know but its when she’s wearing a white robe) And that also got animated on the anime but there’s something im always curious about. If its a scene from the future but she actually looks young and her hair is short just like season one… not even a little tall and i can’t see her left cursed arm if im right the right one she’s holding the stick with and left one is the red cloth but it doesnt have any sign of her curse and no ring (i dont remember if she keeps wearing it anymore) so like is it a future reference or am i tripping 😞

So far we have this little info from the Supplement 1, but nothing has been confirmed yet. We still have a long way to see the end of Chise's journey.

Edit: I just realized that Chise was called "Priestess" by Goddess Morrígan... Who also asked for mistletoes as offerings. So there is a lot to unpack here 👀👀👀

I think this is happening to all of us. I didn't even notice the second part came out today, but honestly, these anti-consumer policies have me heartbroken. Besides, Kore sometimes writes in a way that takes a while to get the plot going, she takes her time, and right now we're in one of those periods. Maybe if we were in a more active part, people would end up subscribing to these things, but right now all they are going to do is finish killing the fandom.
