wdym the m/o fandom is being crazy? genuinely curious

hey anon, didnt want to make this too long but i what i mean by that is that some (not all.) people in this fandom tend to have the tendency to compare people who like certain characters/ships into actual harmful human beings / send them hate purely for liking fictional puppet characters.

i dont believe that liking a fictional ice cream man makes you a paedophile in any sense. i also dont believe that liking an alcoholic father makes you an abuser either. if that were to happen, then there would be a fuck ton of people in this community in jail/prison right now as we speak. 💀

when i look at the community back then everyone seemed a bunch more nicer, more accepting even. it genuinely felt like a nice community to hang around and be in, but now it is not the same. fandom culture has massively changed ever since covid came, and im afraid its for the worst. now people in the community call you bad things for having dead dove themes... even though the original series was technically dead dove anyways. at least to me it was.

ive never associated myself with the m/o fandom and i will be posting less about m/o in the future. to put it simply, i hate how the fandom has involved now, and i wish that more people were accepting or at least tolerant of those who like darker themes in fiction.
