Heartbroken

Hearing the words hurt worse than I thought they ever could.. my heart feels like it's in 5 million different pieces and I honestly have no idea how I'm gonna find them and pick them all up. My eyes are heavy with grief and sadness and any thought of you that comes to my mind makes them well up and out pour with tears. Why does time feel like its dragging by. Every minute feels like an hour and every time I think I'm gonna be alright, another thought comes to me and I'm right back to square one. My family, the one I wasn't born with, is now just two people that used to know each other and have unconditional love for one another. My world once again is not perfect and is not whole because half of me is missing. Half of me I might never get back.. not hearing your ringtone and not seeing a waiting text or missed phone call is going to hurt. I don't even want a phone anymore, what's the point? No good morning or goodnight, no more sweet words or funny pictures. No more of anything that made me wake up in the morning..😔😭😔💔

Concept: you’ve been married to your wife for 3 years. You wake up in your bed before she does, your nose cold but your body warm. Careful not to wake her, you get out of bed and your toes curl when your feet hit the cold floor. You brew a pot of coffee and take a cup, making sure to leave enough for her. You pull on a big sweater and walk out onto your deck, sitting in a big wood chair to look out over the forest. The leaves are orange and edged with frost. All is quiet as the sun rises over the trees. You hear the door opening behind you and your wife sits down next to you, wrapping the comforter from your bed around both of you shoulders. You sit there like that until the sun is well up and your coffee cups are empty.
